It's not a hostel as such, it used to be el Adelina now they want to make it a hotel reason why there is no young environment but families. The staff leaves much to be desired their lack of predisposition and education. The shared room was very cold, without a window and very dark, the bathroom was not refilled with shampoo and conditioner despite having requested it. The staff of the place on my departure never asked me if my stay was okay or anything, I would not stay there again despite the f...
The least cozy hostel in history. You better bring a warm coat to sleep at night because you literally freeze, and there’s no hot water… The receptionists are quite rude, the atmosphere is nonexistent, and it’s the most expensive hostel in all of Bogotá! What I would call a total rip-off!
They said that the camera we had booked months before was not available, until I asked to speak to the superior and magically the camera became available. they blamed hostelworld initially. private camera with nice bathroom but nothing exceptional, considering the price paid, which turned out to be excessive.
Noise levels are huge here - constant music that could be heard clearly in my room. Staff not particularly welcoming. Hostel is in a great location but I would not recommend it for a (very over priced) private room that I couldn’t spend time in because of the noise. I would not recommend.
Me and my boyfriend have been travelling in South America for 3 months now and I never left a review…. But the service was so incredible bad that I really wanted to. Originally we booked to stay in a Dorm and booked that over the website. When we arrived our reservation has not been made, we stand for ages on the reception desk. We didn’t mind this at all and simple ask if we could book a privat room. They have been happy to do so but it took them another 20 minutes. Plus the check in pr...
DONT STAY HERE. THIEFS! I was promised a refund of 1,000,000 COP by the front desk and then they started ignoring my emails and so did the Colombia Selina after they started an investigation for me. DONT STAY HERE.
We were promised a refund by reception which was also confirmed by the Selina head office in writing. After following this up numerous times (including with the Selina head office) we are now being ignored. This has been an extremely disappointing interaction - I will not be recommending Selina again. The accomodation was extremely clean - the cleaning staff were incredibly attentive and helpful.
We booked a private deluxe room for 4 nights which was in an extra building at the top floor. We needed to change the room because: Really damp Puddle under the bed Wet mattress / pillows Mold spots (dark / black) at the wall Got rebooked to a standard room over the kitchen, really loud The refund of the price difference took 5-6 days after us pro-actively asking again when they refund us the money - which was ONLY possible by PayPal.. btw not the most common international payment mode
Not a hostel. A restaurant with some dorms in the back. Common areas were booked out for private functions on all three days I was there. You have to either sit in your room or leave the hostel. The bar is for the restaurant and not for backpackers. This made it super difficult to meet other solo travellers. I ended up going to a hostel a few blocks away for some atmosphere and socialising. You have to download an app at reception to check-in. PROS: Location, cleanliness, hot showers
This is no good for people that value a good night's sleep. I understand parties till 10 pm but I don't understand parties with eardrum breaking volumes till 1 am just outside my room. The receptionist said it would end at midnight but it didn't end till 1 am. He expressed his lack of control on what was going on. No co-working space, no games other than billiards, not much interaction with other guests.

Divino lugar, nos ha encantado!
Divine place, we are delighted!
The description is wrong: there is no kitchen, no accompaniment in the discovery of the city except for the tour sale and even worse, the information that was provided to me for the train schedules to the salt cathedral was false ! . the hotel is magnificent and well placed but totally sad and lifeless. you meet no one, we were 2 in a huge dormitory for 8.... the breakfast first prize is 42 000 pesos while the average elsewhere is 25/30 cop !

I can't consider it a hostel it doesn't have atmosphere, it doesn't have a common kitchen, $6 per towel rent seems a bit high to me. on the other hand the place is very nice, well located, safe, clean and the cleaning staff super friendly.
A masterpiece!
very clean facilities, great showers and comfortable beds. Quiet but i thinks thats because of the time of year we have visited
This feels more like a hotel than a hostel - there is little to no social atmosphere or anything going on. That being said the rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable, and the location is really good.
Muy buen hostel! Recomiendo.
This is a very good hostel, I recommend it.

Nice hostel, friendly staff, good location and clean. Would recommend

Socialtel was fine, great location but not social at all unfortunately. It’s a big hostel but seemed almost empty. The few days me and my friend stayed they didn’t have any activities on. Staff never gave any guidance or support. Sometimes bathrooms were unclean.
The service of the reception girls very very friendly and attentive, helping at any time. the only thing is that in the bathrooms of the end you run out of hand paper and do not recharge it the same day but the truth would gladly return
A charming hostel in a Authentic part of Bogotá. However, the floor boards on the first floor are so thin, it felt unsafe. Here and there, there are small holes and you can look through to ground floor. You know that Pirates of the Caribien feeling!?! To the owner: Floor must be refurbished before an accident happens!
The staff is amazing and they have the best shower towels, worth every penny you paid for them
Spent 2 Nights at Socialtel Candelaria and had a great time! We were 3 in a 4-bed-room, which came with its own bathroom, everything clean. They even came to tidy up during our short stay! The stuff was nice and the bartenders tried anthing to put us on German football, which stands for the guest-contracted Service. There were a lot of social events going on, such as a clothing and food market and partying / pub crawl. The barrio seems also quite safe, also for getting dinner after sunset.
Super nice facilities and funky cool vibes but it was just too cold and you couldn’t enjoy it. Everything is open air so there’s really no where to hang out with other people comfortably so the vibes aren’t there. Basically just huddled under my blankets the whole time haha. Would highly recommend the owners putting some space heater around or finding a way to enclose a joint space for community building.
The property is exceptional, gorgeous and inviting. Sol and Juan in reception were truly wonderful and the kitchen/bar staff are elite.
Location is good, room was very nice but expensive for a hostel. Absolutely no social atmosphere.
It’s a great and central place in the old town, but there are not too many activities to socialize.
