Bed bugs

The place is decent. Clean bed and environment overall. No noticeable cockroaches or bed bugs during my stay. Maybe I was tired but the bed was comfortable. There were 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets (if I recall correctly) so expect to wait if there’s a queue. However, I had no issues with the waiting time although that’s probably because I woke up early. Clean towel and complimentary breakfast are included. There’s even a water dispenser machine plus fridge. The staff were friendly too. I do find the design of the place a little odd where the reception is between the toilet and rooms. However, this is Singapore and limited space is to be expected. Less than 10 minutes walking distance to the nearest metro stop, MRT Lavender. Highly recommended.

Back then in Sept 2019 I stayed here, a friend booked this place. Thought it would be a nice bunk bed, but it turned out that there was bedbug I found. Breakfast was ok, staffs were not that friendly.

There's a lot of Bed Bugs here, A LOT...!!! . Not recommended

There are bedbugs everywhere even though change bed also have lot's of bug bite until my body all rashes

Stayed there one night and got bitten by bed bugs, the place is ok but you know, dorm, bunk beds, ready to hear people snore and talk. Service is ok, at least they serve breakfast.

If you like sleeping with bed bugs, this place is very recommendable. 3-day stays but I chose to sleep in the living room. After I’m back to my country , I had to ask a doctor to give me an injection. The boils subsidized after 2 weeks.

Good enough but the capsule like beds has plenty of bed bugs..management should at least make a thorough cleaning on the bunks.

Crazy guys ,no hospitality bedbugs ,it's a mistaken booking ,very rude people

The place is crawling with bed bugs. and looking from the commenta of previous customers as well. it was a mistake coming here. saw a few customers complain about them but they dont seem to get it and dont act on it. I believe NEA should be informed about this. If this were another third woeld country, sure. but this is Singapore. therr are standards to maintain, which Meadows did not deliver.

My bed alot bedbugs no wonder I can't sleep well and I was bites by bedbugs and hostel can't claim medical fee. Don't pretending say you already reply me on E-mail. Very irresponsible to guest and I come to holiday but because bites by bedbugs I fever and all mood spoil. Don't come here if don't want bites by bedbugs and don't delete all images I post bc you are irresponsible!!!

Got bedbug when told the staff at the counter they also don't bother poor service

Dear person in charge, Subject: Reimbursement During my stay at your premises (Meadows hostel) dated 7 January 2019 to 8 January 2019 I was bitten by bedbugs throughout my whole body which left me with a swollen eyes and patched of bites marks from my hands to legs. Although I have changed to another bed and given an extension of 2 hours I was still being bitten by bedbugs the whole time. Due to this incident I was forced to return early from my trip in Singapore which cause me to incurred additional transport expenses as well as medical. The above E-mail they doesn't reply me and well, do you understand the suffering bites by bedbugs the whole times. Please don't book here if you don't want get bites... And Meadows hostel didn't responsible at all!!! I will sue you ! Dear Meadows, gentle reminder. You have not replied my last email.

Bed bugs alert. Fairly priced though.

6 weken gereisd, nergens klachten gehad, alleen dit hostel was vreselijk. Er staat nooit een raam open, er slapen minimaal 24 mensen in een kamer en we hoorden meerdere mensen over bed bugs. Zelfs als ik geld toekreeg ging ik hier niet meer naartoe!

Stayed here for one month and costed around ~$600 ($18/night), only pros might be of free breakfast (bread with peanut butter/jam if that's your fancy), nearby food court, MRT and a supermarket being of walking distance. Laundry is done within a day but it can be pricey depending on your budget with $15 for 7kg of clothing. I've had horrible internet speeds unless it's midnight since almost everyone's asleep, bed bugs are present and pest control didn't help much at all and the worst part was pest control for once a week so its a terrible sleep with itches in your body. Only two showers and two toilets per floor with around 40 people residing in each floor. Final thoughts are I'd recommend to stay somewhere else until they fix their bed bugs issue.

Worst experience ever! Bed bugs and small creepy insects! I got bitten by bed bugs and had to complain middle of the night.

Beware of the bed bugs!!

AWFUL! BED BUGS! Staff knowingly put us in a room with bedbugs in with plans to fumigate! Dirty place and rude staff. I was unfortunate to not see the reviews on google until after i booked so had no choice but to stay. We moved to a new hostel and have given 2 stars purely because they agreed to give me a full refund and they washed my clothes for me to avoid taking bedbug infestation to another hostel.

Alot of bed bugs at the 1st room bad services I recomend the arcadia hotel just across the street, meadows hostel messaged us that we can have free tourist sim card but when we got there they didn't guve us thats why we tranfered to arcadia hotel because meadows have bad services, bed bugs and so misleading

HELP YOURSELF! BED BUGS ALERT! I booked this hostel for it strategic locations and some good reviews but I regret my decision after my first night staying. I got bites all over my body and I couldn't even sleep for 4 nights straight. It's a backpacker hostel, but at least they can provide some clean bed for us to stay on. NOT recommended at all! So, If you are on a tight budget, please consider something else rather than killing your sleeping time when your are travelling.

We was very afraid to stay here, because of the other comments about bed bugs. I had that problem in bali and bad allergic reaction. They told us at first stage are no bed bugs, it was true. Nobody had problems. The double capsule was very comfortable. The single ones very small. It was always clean and the employees very kind. The breakfast was for everyone enough. The rooms are not smelling and a.c. was always on. So I recommend this hostel. Just one comment to the guest's. What's going on? They pooping, laughing, speaking all the time. Is that necessary at the middle of the night? It's a room for (20?) People. So just have a little bit respect to other guys.

Capsule hostel . You can get there by a cab or MRT Costs around 30-40 singaporean dollar Breakfast includes boiled eggs,peanut butter,plain butter,jam and bread. Tea and coffee are available 24 hours free of cost. The hostel has television,internet facility,wifi, fridge,microwave oven ,water dispenser,iron,hair dryer free of cost. Regarding the capsule its fine,but some times bedbugs are irritating. Single and double bed are available.Remember to take ear plugs or you can purchse from the hostel counter ,There is roof top for enjoying the scene. Over all cleanliness is fine. Remember to take your own toiletries. The staff are very cooperative. The location has resturants in its vicinty and a mart.

Bed bugs, stinky, old. The worst capsule hostel I have ever stayed. Help yourself, do not book a stay here.
