Llegué de noche y la recepcionista me cobró 50 dolares de depósito. Es un precio ridículo para una estancia de 10 dólares la noche. Me envió sola en la noche al dormitorio que es una cápsula alejada de todo, con una puerta sin cerradura y que se abre con el viento. Lo correcto habría sido acompañarme. En la cocina vivía una rata. Nadie del hotel vino o me preguntó cómo iban las cosas. Solo estaban dos voluntarios que me contaron que vieron una serpiente terciopelo en las duchas.
I arrived at night and the receptionist charged me 50 dollars deposit. It's a ridiculous price for a stay of 10 dollars a night. She sent me alone at night to the dorm which is a capsule away from everything, with a door without a lock and that opens with the wind. The correct thing would have been to accompany me. In the kitchen lived a rat. No one from the hotel came or asked me how things were going. There were only two volunteers who told me that they saw a velvet snake in the showers.
Good place to stay because it's close to Carara National Park and the surroundings of the Lodge are beautiful and peaceful. In the dorm by itself it's not so nice, it's too big for almost nobody. Also the lights are low in the place so we stayed in our bunk bed. Would be good to add an outdoor area with hammocks next to the pool or the dorm. we enjoyed the air-conditioning and the pizzas at the restaurant are so good (made by Italian chef), highly recommended.
The hotel is great. We loved the room. The pods are awesome! The thing that was bothering to us was that it was in the middle of nowhere (but it’s also nice cuz we saw nice animals and it is really calm), you have to have your own car to get there and to any activity’s. They have a shuttle but it is really expensive. There was a tarantula in the room but other then that is was a really nice room. So we had mixed feelings about it but overal we liked it
das Hotel ist ziemlich ab von Schuss, nächste shops sind 2 bis 3km entfernt ohne auto muss alles gelaufen werden, taxis wären viel zu teuer und das interne Restaurant ist auch ziemlich teuer. und laundry service 25 dollar wtf. nichtsdestotrotz ist es mitten im Dschungel, perfekt um vögel zu beobachten und in der Natur zu sein. Ein kleines Paradies mit Scharlacharas die häufig zu besuch kommen und auch sehr vertraut sind siwie Weißschulterkapuzineraffen. Das personal ist zudem extrem freundl...

The hostel is hodden gem in the middle of bush. The road there is pretty bumpy, but its all worth it! I stayed in POD - decent size with curtains for aome privacy. You can see and hear monekys and birds and enjoy beautiful views. They have bar and restaurant and property. The front desk was super nice and very helpful (as i had a reservation for weong date but they fixed it for me with no problem). Great overall!
Beautiful property, terrible location, taxis and Ubers to and from are very expensive and sometimes wouldn’t make the trip at all. The location is on a long, bumpy, gravel road about 20 minutes from Tarcoles. Staff and facilities were outstanding.
stayed here for 1 night, and loved the pods!!! such a great way to have a dorm! the kitchen was great too. it is in the middle of no where so luckily we we were able to hitch a ride up. the sights of the birds and monkeys in the morning was magical, and the pool was lovely.
The dorm was great as there weren’t many people in it. Big space with big security lockers for your whole bags. Seemed in good condition. Kitchen not very well equipped but did the job. Access to the pool and restaurant. Good bird watching from the restaurant. Good parking. No lock on the dorm door and would have felt a little uneasy if I was an alone female traveller as the dorm was so empty. Great location if you have a car.
El dormitorio es fantástico con una cocina bien rústica pero eficiente, duchas y baños excelente y location estupenda en el medio de la naturaleza! Piscina en compañía de aves y staff atento y muy amable! Recomendable para mochileros sobretodo!

El dormitorio es fantástico con una cocina bien rústica pero eficiente, duchas y baños excelente y location estupenda en el medio de la naturaleza! Piscina en compañía de aves y staff atento y muy amable! Recomendable para mochileros sobretodo!
