Unfortunately there were bed bugs. The cleanliness of the facility was poor. Bed and bathroom was a bit scary. Would not recommend.

Got bed bugs from this hostel earlier this week!!! Contacted them to inform them and there has been no urgency to get back to me to determine what bed I was in, etc. Rooms weren’t thoroughly cleaned at all. I normally don’t write reviews but I don’t want anyone else to get bed bugs from this place.

Volunteers were wonderful and the nightly events made it a super social environment. But, they have a very large bedbug issue (I got over 300 bites on my entire body, but the manager tried to convince me that I just had a rash lol) and the facilities left much to be desired. Our shower knob came off and wasn’t fixed for our whole stay. And one morning our bathroom had been infested by 30 honey bees (??), and once again got no aid with that issue either.

The rating is so high due to the atmosphere and the staff being incredible. Met the best people and had fun, but upon leaving after a two day stay I recognized bed bug bites up and down my arms, even found some in my toiletry bag that I promptly threw away. I was traveling when I realized what this reaction was and emailed them, and thankfully they’ve refunded part of my stay. Just be aware and if you see a bug near the bed, speak up.

Great Hostel! Great activities organised every night, awesome group of staff, and in a great location! My only downside is that after a few nights, I woke up with lots of insect bites that suspect where Mosquitoes or potentially Bed Bugs - but overall this is a great Hostel!

I do not recommend that hostel. During our stay in the dormitory our roommate was bitten by bed bugs. After one day the staff moved us to the room where we also found bed bugs so we had to change room once again. In addition we had to wait for a new room until 1 a.m. because the staff went for a party. We waisted whole day for moving and for laundry. The staff dind't clean our things properly and after a few days we also found bites on our bodies. Bed bugs and staff's behaviour destroyed whole my vacations. Avoid this place!

Vibe-Analyse
Das Old Town Hostel liegt direkt in der Altstadt und liegt fest in einem sozialen Umfeld. Es gibt Abendveranstaltungen, Trinkspiele, Bar-Crawls, Sonnenuntergangsgrill und Bootsfahrten. Ein Gebäude hat einen Pool, und einige Zimmer haben Klimaanlage und eine kleine Küche. Das Hostel kann sauber sein und das Personal kann freundlich und gastfreundlich sein, aber die Erfahrung ist ungleich. Der Ort ist über mehrere Gebäude verteilt, also fühlt es sich wie getrennt an. Die Zimmer sind oft eher einfach als poliert, und einige sind recht klein. Geräusche können bis spät in die Nacht gehen, besonders wenn Musik und Nachtgespräche bis in die frühen Morgenstunden andauern. Bad und Dusche sind eine häufige Schwachstelle: Sie können winzig, abgenutzt oder schwer zu bedienen sein. Die Treppe kann auch unangenehm sein, und es gibt in zumindest einigen Teilen des Grundstücks keinen Aufzug.
