The Little Havana Party Hostel

Mentre stavo lì avevo delle punture di insetto ma pensavo fossero un caso che ne avessi tante, tipo zanzare, poi quando sono tornato a casa ho mandato la foto al mio medico di famiglia e mi ha detto che sono punture delle cimici dei letti(bed bugs), quindi spero c’erano questi insetti nel mio letto. Essendo la mia prima volta in un contesto del genere non sapevo potesse accadere e non ne sapevo l’esistenza di questi insetti, però ci tengo a denunciare questa cosa almeno qua. Tutto il resto Ok

The little Havana wasn’t the paradise we were promised. There was a party vibe but it was very heavily men based, so don’t recommend going as a female solo traveller unless you want men constantly staring at you. The pub crawl is even worse because they’re all drunk, there are much better clubs out there. I wouldn’t recommend getting your washing done my friend clearly instructed not to wash her clothes at high heat otherwise the colours mix but that was done anyway leaving many unwanted clothes blue and red. On another note on the last night (after sleeping in the beds for 3 nights) we found a bed bug in our room, which we immediately reported to the front desk and found out another had also been recently seen. They instructed us that we will move rooms and offered to wash all of our stuff for free and that the washing will be ready the next day before we leave. But they didn’t tell anyone else in the room, leaving them at risk of getting an infestation. We moved into our new room where the mattresses were still very unclean and we the room was so loud from the downstairs club and the noise on the street. So we barely had any sleep. The next day we went down to collect the washing and half of it was still wet when they had time to do it overnight knowing what time we had to leave the next day, and led my friend to miss her train because of her having to wait around. So rushing to get the train we had to put the washing in bin bags. We did get a refund for 2 nights so I’ll give them that, although we had to ask first. All and all not a great experience. If you’ve already booked, sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bites.

While someone in our party did get bed bugs, the staff handled it very well. Shut the room off and gave us a refund!

Great location, got bed bugs :( . Lots of alcohol flowing in this hostel if that's for you. Energetic staff.

Des punaises de lit. 2 douches pour 24 personnes. Pendant le petit déjeuner, j'ai constaté qu'il n'y avait plus de café, il y avait deux réceptionnistes. Le réceptionniste à qui j'ai demandé de refaire du café m'a dit que je pouvais en refaire moi-même. Je lui ai dit que je ne savais pas utiliser la machine. Il m'a répondu qu'il fallait mettre de l'eau et du café.

Très bonne auberge. Le personnel est très sympa et le lieu propice à de nouvelles rencontres. Les lits sont confortable. Cependant, je soupçonne des punaises de lit… j’ai des piqûres.

Bed bugs - well, I found a bed bug in my bed and It was stressful all my stay thinking about if there ll be more and if I ll carrying them back home. At the meanwhile the staffs reaction was rapide and nice proposing to change the bed shit, washing all my clothes for free and ultimately changing the room in case more bed bugs appears.

I usually dont like to give bad reviews but I stayed there on 25th of jan and there was bed bugs on the bed that I found about later and it was so bad...I think this could happen, but not if u usually keep good hygiene level, I wouldn't expect that this is the usual but if it happens then you would get a bad review.

On the second night of my stay i found bed bugs in my bed. I told the man on reception and he moved me rooms right away. I am covered in bite marks all over and was not refunded for my stay. I had to fumigate all my belongings and bags when i arrived home to stop them getting into my house. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSTEL!

Nice hostel and nice staff. Perfect location. I would have rated 4 stars... but I am now in another very clean hotel and just recogniced that the bites I had are from bedbugs. I was staying in room number 6, lower bed on the left if that helps...

Wonderful hostel experience for me. Can’t ask for much else- very social and amazing location. Didn’t affect me luckily, but The girl in the bed below me had bed bugs and she said when she talked to the staff about it, they knew it was a problem before but I guess it wasn’t enough to fix before renting it out again? Even with her sleeve covering the whole Mattress

Hay chinches en las camas, amanecí con muchas picaduras en las manos y la cara. Solo por esto recomiendo abstenerse de dormir aquí

I was bitten by bedbugs

I really enjoyed energy of my stay here with phenomenal people. Though finding bed bugs in my bed was very concerning. Other then that i feel i would stay again! Thanks to all the staff though for creating what i love about hostels :)

(아래 한국어 있음) Great for affordable prices, centrally located accommodations, friendly staff and great for partying However, the condition of the room was a mess. It was an old wooden bed and I slept on the bunk bed. The wooden planks were rattled on top, the blanket was stained, and I found white mites. And after sleeping here, a few days later I found signs of bed bug bites. 🤯 The shower room was covered with hair that people had fallen off after shaving, and it didn't seem to be cleaned well overall.. I don't recommend it 저렴한 가격, 중심지에 위치한 숙소, 친절한 스탭들 그리고 파티를 원한다면 즐기기에 좋습니다 그러나, 객실의 상태는 엉망이었습니다. 오래된 나무 침대였으며 1층침대에서 잤는데 위에 나무 판자가 덜렁거렸고 이불에 얼룩이 묻어있었으며 하얀 진드기를 발견했습니다. 그리고 여기서 자고난 후 며칠 뒤 베드버그에 물린 흔적을 발견했습니다. 샤워실에는 사람들이 면도한 후 떨어진 털들이 묻어있었고 전체적으로 청소를 잘 안하는 것 같았습니다.. 추천하고 싶지 않습니다.

BED BUGS. I got bitten on my first night there (stayed 2), wasn’t sure if it was bed bug bites at first but have now confirmed it is. To be fair it’s quite a decent hostel with helpful staff and nice party ambience but I also went through inconveniences now to wash all of my stuff and suffer super itchy bites for days.

Probably a hostel with good vibes. When I checked in one girl at the front-desk was kinda rude to me. Other staff was really polite! Unfortunately I was placed in a room with bedbugs, I slept there for one night. They admitted there were bedbugs in that room and they’d tried to get rid of them. One year later I found out that I brought them home with me.. thanks little havana! For other travellers, if you still want to stay in this hostel, first check the mattress for black spots or blood. Also check underneath the mattress! I don’t recommend this hostel, although they tried to solve the problem but didn’t in the end. EDIT as a response on owner: I can’t 100% I got from your hostel. Although I find it suspicious that I have them, since I haven’t stayed in another hostel besides the alternative accommodation I got offered (and paid myself). Also, the pest control confirmed that the plague was big enough to develop over half a year to a year. They can survive half a year without sucking blood. In my defense and my fellow roommates I want to say the help was all ‘secretly‘ done, I couldn’t really speak about it in the common area and my luggage wasn’t cleaned. I only got a new extension cord. Since I have seen the plague in your hostel I don’t belief that it developed during one week, the bed bugs were walking on the mattresses during daylight while they normally hide and only show themselves when it is dark. I wouldn’t call this a ‘slight’ problem. You purposely let us sleep in that room whilst you/hostel’s staff knew that there was a bed bug problem in that room. The room was locked down, before I came but since the hostel was full it was decided to open the room for guests while the problem was known. I think you and your staff took a risk there and guest were not the priority. Also, we were asked to not write anything about this online, since i think it is important to know for others I decided to choose differently. I do understand this is my word against yours and I respect your arguments, I hope you do so for mine. I have spoken the truth on my side of the story. But a story has two sides! Don’t use a damage control approach during such an issue, use a solve the problem approach. ;) I truly hope that the problem is solved and other travellers had a good stay this summer. I do appreciate the help I got offered to find a new hostel where I enjoyed my stay. Thank you for that! To inform future travellers : Cleaning your room at home if you have bed bugs is challenging and expensive. Pest control has to come multiple times which costs around €200 per time. Also you need to freeze/wash/steam all your clothes and stuff which cost an additional €100. Good luck with deciding in which hostel you stay. Always check the beds and corners of the room before paying anything. I wish I knew, I wish I checked, would have saved me a lot of money, stress and sleepless nights.

Ok so I can to Krakow to party with a few friends and maybe meet some other like minded people. Seeing as it's called a party hostel we expected a party. There was no party. There was period blood on my bed sheets. The female cleaners who did not clean threatened us with the broom when we asked for clean sheets. We thought after this we'll get a drink an relax but then one of our drinks had broken glass in so my friend had a cut throat for the rest of our holiday. The paintings were all smashed none in tact my bed had no slats on I was pretty much sleeping on the floor. All the keys worked for all the doors so 3 times in 24 hours we discovered random people in our private room we payed more for. Then we booked the shooting through the hostel they then cancelled on us after paying and refused to give money back. Then we discovered bed bug bites the next day. By far the worst place I have ever stayed next time I come I'd rather stay on the streets then here
