Popeyes Hostel, Coffeeshop & Beer Bar

The hostel is located in a bazaar/shopping street, not at all social, strange people, dirty, no privacy in the beds, stains on the bed sheets and bedding.

There was bed bugs in all three of the beds we’d been assigned

Poor check-in experience (Staff was very high) and forgot to give us blankets, towels and did not show us a room. Bed was extremely basic, but ok. No social activities at all, mainly everyone smoking for themselves. Great Location though

This is the most disgusting place I have ever been to in my life. No one should go to Patong beach. Period. ESPECIALLY if you are a woman. The area is disgusting. I saw two dead cats and a dead dog on the side of the street by the hostel within the 15 hours that I was in Patong. To enter you have to walk down a very unsafe alley way full of vendors shouting at you. Wouldn’t stay again, wasn’t a fan of the bunks or the bathrooms.

It stinks of cigarette smoke and weed as soon as you walk in the door as you can smoke inside the entry. It was quite grubby in the toilets, they didn’t flush most of the time. The mattresses may as well have been brick sand the pillows weren’t much better, I woke up with knots in the traps and a blistering headaches both days. Felt like you couldn’t make a sound in the rooms as everyone seemed to be asleep all the time (which is fine but just felt constantly on edge). You get what you pay...

die Klimaanlage war viel zu kalt eingestellt (man wusste nicht wo die fernbedienung ist) es war wie im kühlschrank, zusätzlich aber nur super dünne decken die null gewärmt haben, rezeption war ein bongzimmer, duschen waren über den toiletten

Great location, sweet staff, however has not been a coffee shop since october, has a little smoking veranda in tthe midst of an enclosed market street. top bunks have no curtains and no fault of the hostel themselves but i woke at half five in the morning to a man sitting crossed legged staring at me from across the room. this probably put a bad taste in my mouth, however on the strip and £6 a night...

nice stuff amazing location, you still can meet people if you say hi first , they clean very well , but some guests are not clean , i would recommend the hostel to put signs with fines for cleaning

🍁 HOSTEL IS IN THE BACK OF A WEED SHOP 🥲 Just a heads up for those who don’t smoke - chances are you will during check-in or just standing around reception lol My friend slept on a top bunk which had previously collapsed and is now duck taped holding it together (so avoid bed number 3!!!) 😂 Bathroom showers are actually ok but could some feedback - they need to add somewhere to hang your towel in the shower - the hooks are pretty small. Friendly staff though 😊

Good, clean, chilled place to stay, excellent location.

good for a bed after a night out , can smoke downstairs inside which is nice , overall would just say okay

Lovely hostel, amazing location, nice staff. If there were curtains around the beds, it would’ve been just perfect!

Okay. Staff are nice but weird vibe and people.

Stuff was friendly, but didn't understand much English. First shock was to realize that the only social area is a smoker room for all the stoned tourists that came to buy and smoke weed there. Very poor, especially for a nonsmoker. This was followed by the fact that there was absolutely no social vibe, the stoners were hanging out down in this smoke cave or on their beds, watching movies or even eating on their beds, due to the lack of other places to sit down. Showers were not clean. Not again!

The place is amazing. Staff very friendly and supporting. There is a kitchen also we can heat food and tea , coffee as well. Very good place to stay. And everything is by walking distance.

there's not much you can expect for the price, but still the cannabis shop at the reception has a really weird atmosphere and if you sleep on the top bunk you get no privacy at all. wanted to check out at 7am and there was just no one at the reception, so I didn't get my deposit back
