Billabong Hostel

Avoid at all costs. Was extremely dirty and smelt of sewage. All rooms are 12 bed not 10 like stated. Dorm rooms don’t lock to the bathroom area, we had random people from other rooms walking through our room making us feel extremely unsafe. Staff unhelpful when issues raised to them. Worst hostel I have ever stayed in

This hostel looks extremely different to the pictures in the dorms. Luckily we were able to get a private room for 1/4 nights which was great. Apart from that the lady who helped us with a new room was very accommodating and helpful. The hostel has no luggage storage, mould on the ceilings and smelt terrible. If I was ever to return I would rent a private room. The main male manager was also very unwelcoming and stern.

One of the worst hostel I stayed in ever. Dirty bathrooms, no curtains and small + loud beds. No common area or socialising. very bad for solo travellers. Plus they lost some of my laundry too. Choose something else if possible

The bathrooms smelt very bad, lots of flies. You can get into any hostel room through the bathrooms so not very secure. The aircon was broken 2/5 nights. No curtains, and very overpriced. Staff were nice and nice pool.

Very dirty hostel and extremely over priced. I stayed during the full moon so appreciate they could put the cost up, but don’t charge €40 a night and leave vomit in the bathroom for over a day- use the extra money and pay for some cleaners. There were dead flies all over the walls in the bathroom and just generally dirty. Also no female only bathroom in the dorms- women should have access to a safe space. Men were naked in the dorms which is very uncomfortable for women.

I stayed here last time and was comfortable. This time they lacked on many things and need improvement. Bathroom locks were unreliable. No power outlets for me. Just one under a dorm which was almost impossible to reach. WiFi was almost not working most of the time. Some basic needs for a traveler.

The staff were friendly/helpful, that was the only positive. Prices were 3x more than usual because of the full moon party, I was in a 12 bed dorm when I booked a 10 - no explanation. There were 3 toilets & 3 showers for 36 beds, the whole bathroom area was gross, no counters or hooks, everything always wet. Often no toilet paper. No curtains on the bed or plugs for upper bunks. The hostel dorms are across a busy street from the pool. The door to the dorm building doesn’t close or lock.

THE PICTURES OF THE HOSTEL ROOM ARE A SCAM! My room literally had NO WINDOWS, the beds where squeezed very closed to each other, there was noone there, so it was very unsocial, the 'common area' was pretty moody and dirty and the people in the room where respectless and since there was only one big light in the room, you where not able to sleep until 1 am. i would definitely not recommend going there, the staff also tried to convince me to book overpriced tours through the hostel. Just dont go

Not great, it is just a hotel with some hostel rooms across the road, thr bathrooms weren’t very clean, the communal area shut at 9 and rooms had no privacy. Wasn’t anywhere to sit and eat if you wanted to. Staff were very nice and helpful though which was great, were able to book taxis and boats easily from them and was cheaper than online

we stayed on the second level with the rooftop balcony, nice place to relax on a night. Rooms were cleaned every morning! unfortunately we were sick with food poisoning for the majority of our stay but I could think of worse places to be. pool is great with a nice little garden area to eat/relax. would recommend

There is no common space at this hostel meaning there is no real atmosphere, and I was there during the Full Moon Party. It is very difficult to meet people at this hostel, so if that is what you are after I would recommend somewhere else. Otherwise, the beds are very comfy, and the toilets and showers are fine.

Très bonne auberge, personnel très agréable et toujours disponible en cas de besoin. Les chambres sont grandes et climatisé ce qui est très agréable. Pour la full moon party vous pouvez facilement reserver un taxi avec l’auberge ou choisir de négocier votre propre prix avec ceux-ci. La piscine qui n’est pas chauffée est super surtout quand le soleil tape!

Good for full moon party, not too far. Quite clean and staff were very friendly

Ves las fotos y esperas otra cosa. La habitación compartida estaba bastante sucia y desordenada. Solo había pequeños lookers así que todo el mundo deja tirada la mochila donde podías. Además no había nada para tapar la luz y de buena mañana la habitación estaba bien clara. Piensas que la piscina es la zona común pero no, la cierran a las 9 y solo tienes un mini sofa, para 14 personas, al lado de la habitación. Al lado hay un prty hostel y se escucha toda la musica por la noche.

Das Hostel ist etwas außerhalb, man braucht also ein Roller, da es auf Koh Phangan kein Grab gibt. In dem Raum waren halt 14 Betten und einen richtigen Aufenthaltsraum für alle außer dem Dorm gibt es nicht. Deswegen wird es im Dorm ab 9 Uhr voll laut, weil alle laut sprechen. Der Staff und der deutsche Besitzer sind aber sehr nett

The most friendly and helpful staff at Billabong! Helped organise all our taxis and transfers. Spacious, clean dorm. Nice relaxing pool area. 5 min walk to beach but not the nicest beach in area so need a motorbike to get further out, otherwise the hostel are great at organising tours. Not the most sociable hostel but great value for money.

Die Bilder sind etwas irreführend, da der Pool und Garten zum Hotel und nicht zum Hostel gehören. Soweit alles sauber aber nicht übermäßig gut ausgestattet.
