Alface Bairro Alto Hostel

Doesn't look like a hostel. It feels more like a cheap hotel with smaller and less comfortable rooms. What really pissed me off was the smell from the toilet and the lack of hangers. According to the owner, you're supposed to either throw your clothes on the floor or keep them on the bed in room 03. The cost of adding hangers? Just two nails, a piece of rope, and some free hangers from H&M. Why didn't they do it? Because nobody cares. There's no sense of community atmosphere.

My room was on top of a bar, I could hear all the music and noise, but the worse was the vibration, which I felt in the floor of the room and in my bed. It was impossible to sleep. When we book a room it is expected that sleep is possible. I left the room at 11:30 pm , and went to find another place to stay for the night in Lisbon. It was the first time this ever happened to me. In addition the toilets were dirty., I did not feel safe, given the noise and the in and out of drunken guests.

Cuisine et salon agréables. Chambre très bruyante, musique très forte jusqu'à 3 h du matin. Rue très bruyante la nuit. Sanitaires assez sales, entrée de l'immeuble dégueulasse. À fuir si vous voulez dormir la nuit.

Located above very loud night club. Bass literally rattles the walls. Impossible to sleep. No one was there to ask to be moved. Worst hostel I've ever stayed at.

In case you don't want to party all night, don't stay at this hostel. it is very very loud so don't expect too much sleep. Also the staff wasn't really nice. The kitchen is well equipped though and the bathrooms were clean.

Das Hostel ist toll, die Zimmer sind sehr süß, die Räume auch. aber es liegt im Barrio Alto, drumherum sind die lautesten Kneipen Lissabons. Wer also keine Probleme mit Lärm hat, hat hier eine gute Zeit.

Peguei uma suíte para ficar c meu namorado. O espaço é Ok, mas muito apertado para 2 pessoas. O box estava quase caindo e vc percebe que o vaso e o box são improvisados. O prédio é muitoooo antigo. Da um certo "medo" qdo vc descobre onde é seu hostel. Mas qdo vc entra no hostel verifica que ele é Ok. O rapaz da recepção foi muito atencioso. Se vc é mochileiro e está sozinho... Vá em frente. Se for de casal, não vale a pena. Depende mto do objetivo da viagem. A localização ...

Do not stay here if you want to sleep during your stay. This is situated on top of a loud cuban bar that doesn’t close until after 3am, and across the pavement from a loud Irish bar. There is supposed to be quiet time in the corridors, but there are no staff on to ensure this happens. We had rude guests being in visitors and be a nuisance each night, for entire stay. Bathrooms were ok - showers were hot but I felt like I was in high school locker room and privacy was difficult. Cockroaches abo...

Hice reserva a la mañana, al llegar a las 18 no había nadie en recepción(estaban las puertas cerradas del primer piso)gracias a un chico de un bar de enfrente que llamó a alguien del hostel y hasta 2 horas después no vino nadie.El agua helada hasta que gire el paso de agua caliente(porque no estaba dada) Quitando todo esto, que aluciné, el resto bien, buena ubicación y limpieza.

Great location and although the nightlife on the street below was audible it was a melodic bass sound. Slept very well. AC worked well. Lounge, kitchen were great and reception staff very polite and helpful. Didn't like that there were no mattress protectors on the beds. Bathroom was dismal. Gaps in door on one of the two toilets and a non lockable ( hinges hanging off) second toilet. On the plus side showers were very powerful and hot. The other guests in dorms were friendly.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, posizione ottima anche se il quartiere è il centro della movida di Lisbona, quindi la notte si sentono diversi schiamazzi e musica, per fortuna gli infissi si isolano molto bene. pulizia ok. Unica pecca i bagni, seppur puliti, ai quali mancava qualche piccola accortezza, come i ganci per appendere gli asciugamani. Nel complesso super consigliato

The hostel was okay! The check in was really welcoming, and the double room was more than okay. The beds were actually comfortable and it was clean. The bathroom/showers/toilets smelled a bit but everything looked clean! The noise at night was crazy though. No sleep without ear plugs. The bass of the bar/club downstairs didn't let us sleep though. A big issue if you're staying in at night.

We kwamen laat aan en werden nog goed ontvangen door Danny. De kamer was netjes. We misten alleen haakjes om onze jassen e.d. op te hangen in de kamer. Daar is in het halletje nog genoeg plek voor. De douche was niet zo schoon, veel schimmel in de kitranden. Verder prima bed! Voor een nacht of 2 tussen het uitgaanspubliek is het best te doen. Wel snachts de ramen dicht doen. Verder zit het hostel op een centrale plek!

L’emplacement géographique est bien cependant c’est dans une rue remplie de bar. Le logement est placé au dessus d’un bar nous n’avons pas pu dormir avant 3-4h du matin même avec dés boules-quies on entendait. A part cela l’emplacement est super à côté de tous et le logement est propres

Super cooles Hostel mit Bar

It is a very cute hostel. Very central and good price. But one thing to note is it right over a club so especially on the weekend it gets pretty loud.

Very dirty scary unlit stairwell to enter, lights don’t turn on until halfway up. Not the nicest hostel I’ve stayed at, but decent enough for the price. Very loud and notify bar music and drunk people in the streets until 4am. Great location walking distance to many sights and restaurants/shops. Not a place I would stay again, but was okay for just sleeping for one night before flying out the next morning, minus the noise.

We liked the Hostel very much. It is perfect if you like to go out late and party till 2am, because there are plenty of bars and pubs nearby.

This hostel is terrible if you want to sleep since it’s right by several bars. The showers are not nice. Kitchen is not well equipped for cooking large meals. If you just need a place to crash for a night it’s perfect. Or if you want to party all night it’s also perfect
