Hostel Baccarat

This place has bed bugs. Only good thing about it is how close it is to the train station.

Developed an allergic reaction while staying at this hostel. Trying to figure out what I am allergic to but most likely mold and or the bed sheets they use. Either that or I got bed bugs

The worst hostel I stayed at in my entire 2 month trip around Europe. I entered my room and immediately could not tell which bed was mine because it was clear the bedding had not been changed. I worried about potential rashes and/or bedbugs. The shower ceilingalso had mold and was collapsing. A girl in my room said she was grudgingly moved there after starting to get sick from mold in another room. For how expensive this place is, save yourself the trouble and stay in a hotel that's clean.

Terrible experience with BED BUGS and Unprofessional Staff, I would not recommend this place for others. I stayed at this hotel recently from October 7 - October 9 and had a terrible experience. I discovered bed bugs in my room (Room 448) and immediately brought this to the attention of the receptionist. They moved our rooms, but even the second room had bed bugs (Room 446). I even showed them pictures as proof, but instead of addressing the issue professionally, they accused me of lying and said that I got the bites from somewhere else and refused to believe my complaint. Their dismissive attitude and lack of concern for guest safety left a terrible impression on me. Dealing with bed bugs is bad enough, but the unprofessional response from the staff made things even worse. I expected at least some level of accountability or willingness to investigate, but none was shown. They said my pictures were not from the hotel, even though the bed sheets are clearly the same and I have a live photo and location of where it is being taken. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel if you value cleanliness and good customer service.

i got bitten by bed bugs from this place :( Rooms were old and tiny only one power point and the end of the room and not enough safe cages beneath all of the beds?? Room and ensuite were not clean at all, also kitchen is tiny and antisocial, no where to sit and chill after dinner with a drink or anything. Staff were really friendly and were able to swap us around rooms upon request so that was nice. Eftpos was broken when we got there which i think is only bc they want guests to pay in cash, which is totall

Number one complaint is that there’s no lock on the bathroom door, I thought locks were invented thousands of years ago? It’s very dirty and I’m pretty sure there were bed bugs. My pillow felt like it was filled with SOCKS instead of feathers. Despite all this I did meet some great people.

Do not stay here. To start, me and my friend both got bit by bed bugs. The whole place smelled like expired food. The door to our room didn’t close unless forced shut, the bathroom door also didn’t close, or the door the shower. The hook for the shower head was broken so you had to hold the wand. All the beds were squeak. The towels they give you are about a quarter of a usual towel. The ONLY thing this place had going for it was that it’s close to the train station. I repeat, do not stay here.

I got bed bugs staying here … to be fair the hostel manager did refund my entire stay but yeah bed bugs isn’t great. Staff were nice about it but didn’t seem too surprised

Ohne Worte. Wir sind sprachlos, das Hotel Baccarat war bodenlos. Zunächst ist das Bad so klein dass es schwer fällt sich zu bewegen vorallem wenn man keine Wände berühren will da diese so ekelhaft sind. Von Schimmel in der Dusche und im Becken bis hin zu Haaren in jeder Ecke, Baccarat bietet alles. Im Nachhinein haben wir sogar eine tägliche Erinnerung an das Hotel da uns die Bisse der Bettwanzen jede Minute jucken.
