Incredibly overpriced for what it is. They nickel and dime any amenity, which is significantly more expensive than prices elsewhere. Instead of a relaxed, social hostel atmosphere, there’s this underlying sense that everything is designed to extract more money from you. For the price point, I expected at least some level of inclusivity or value, that just isn’t the case here. There are far better options out there that actually feel welcoming and transparent. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Really really rank. We got out in a dorm with no window so constantly smelt damp and musky. We called it the dungeon. Big swerve on this one. They’re trying to do too much and not doing anything well IMO
This place should be avoided. There are nicer hostels for cheaper in the area such as Tropicana, Yes Please! Hostel and Bloom. I would definitely recommend staying in one of these over here. Staff are rude and have trouble communicating with non Spanish speakers. There is pretty much no social atmosphere. The bar and pool is always empty and there is no one around to run events. There are no volunteers in this hostel. 12 bed dorm is dirty and has no windows or ventilation. Avoid!
Mercenary. £10(!) for washin which felt neither clean or dry + some items lost / unwashed. Biggest ick was a literal wall of bogies in the bathroom by the mirror. We’re talking 100s. That means sum1 livin there (staff or volunteer) was goin back day after day & wiping that right in every1s face knowing it would be seen. So gross. The saving grace was a nice free space to work. But while we there boss man clocked people workin there instead of the paid work space & basically had it demolished ...
Way too expensive for what it is. Outside area is nice but room extremely small, bathroom not great (no water pressure) also didn’t feel the vibe at all.
Me hospedé en este lugar recientemente y, lamentablemente, mi experiencia no fue positiva. En la habitación que me asignaron había cucarachas que se movían por todo el cuarto, lo cual resultó muy incómodo y nada higiénico. Lo más preocupante es que no fue un caso aislado, ya que mi hermana también se hospedó en otra habitación y tuvo el mismo problema. I stayed in this place recently and unfortunately my experience was not positive. in the room that was assigned to me there were cockroaches moving around the room, which was very uncomfortable and not hygienic at all. the most worrying thing is that it was not an isolated case, as my sister also stayed in another room and had the same problem. when I reported the situation to the establishment, the response was that in my room there were no cockroaches and that they would only recognize my case
El hotel para mi dejó mucho que desear por 3 cosas: 1. No tiene cocina, lo cual me parece indispensable para poder llamar hoStel a un hotel 2. No estaba habilitada la pileta, pero cuando reservé no lo aclaraban y además me cobraron la tarifa completa 3. Incluso teniendo habitación privada, hay que pagar por usar el cowork. Cuando era un Selina esto no sucedía.
The hotel for me left a lot to be desired for 3 things: 1. it doesn't have a kitchen, which I find indispensable to be able to call a hotel hoStel 2. it didn't have the pool enabled, but when I booked they didn't clarify and besides they charged me the full rate 3. even having a private room, you have to pay to use the coworking space. when I was a Selina this didn't happen.
Do not book this hostel! In contrary to the website and the information on Hostelworld, the pool is not available and they removed the shared kitchen. The bar and restaurant are expensive. This hostel is not made for backpackers but for rich people that want a hotel. The staff offered me a discount for the missing facilities but came back on their word, so I did not receive this. They created wrong expextations, were very expensive (35Q for a simple beer) and came back on their word.
Very bad experience, no pool at this time and not said, not nice people there and no ambiance. Bathrooms were dirty and old
Paid 100£ a night for a below par hostel, the pool was out of order, staff didn’t seem bothered. The food was very poor, highly advise eating out. The room was quite small for a double bed private’s the location was good but not worth the price.

Had a great time at Socialtel in Antigua and Panajachel! The hostel is beautiful, clean and comfortable. But the staff are the highlight! Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Most can speak English but are very willing to let you speak bad Spanish to practice. The bartenders even taught us some new words. Can’t recommend this hostel enough!
Great location, clean rooms, social environment. Incredibly helpful staff too. Felt super safe as two girls travelling together. Definitely recommend for your stay in Antigua :)
Great hostel! The facilities are great and they offer many activities. I wish I had more time to participate. The staff are friendly and happy to assist. Location is great and central to all sites. Overall a great place to stay.

Great hostel with good food and drinks. The pool was a bit funny when we visited. Located in a great spot within the city and they also provide good tours to the volcanoes!
Good stay. Only complaint were the receptionists. They were not helpful and didn't seem happy to be there. But the staff everywhere else were awesome! Literally just the front desk girls were moody for seemingly no reason... maybe we just caught them on a bad day! Overall, great stay (:
A beautiful place, a few bug problems in the room though. But a nice chill place to stay in the town
The front desk staff were really amazing and helpful, they were always there to answer our questions and help us with the booking of activities / shuttles etc. The staff from the bar was very welcoming as well and the on site daily activities were really nice!
This was one of the best hostels and places I stayed in my whole time in Guatemala. I recommend to others and stay there again. Staff was friendly and helpful. They helped make my trip great. Stayed during Semana Santa week and would recommend the same to others. Quite the experience in Antigua for Semana Santa. Enrique, Angel, Javier, Alejandro, and Abigail were amazing

This place was amazing and such a great treat after hiking up the volcano. It has a pool hammocks and two places to eat. And lots of chill out areas.
Muy buen hostal, relación con lo que ofrecen y el precio. El personal fue muy amable y atentos en todo momento, me sentí muy segura y buena ubicación a escasos metros del arco y a media cuadra de la iglesia la Merced. Tienes varias actividades por día, cuenta con alberca y está bonito el hostel. Me gustó que habia mas latinos
Very good hostel, relationship to what they offer and the price. the staff was very friendly and attentive at all times, I felt very safe and good location just a few meters from the arch and half a block from the church la Merced. you have several activities per day, it has a pool and the hostel is nice. i liked that there were more latinos
Het hostel is prima, goede locatie en faciliteiten. Het kan er wel een enorme herrie zijn. We hebben 2 nachten gehad dat er van alle kanten muziek kwam, ook vanuit het hostel zelf
The hostel is great, good location and facilities. it can be a huge noise. we had 2 nights where music came from all over, including from the hostel itself
It didn’t really feel like a hostel, because they have hotel rooms and a restaurant on site. The room was very small and dark for 6 people. Vibe wasn’t really social and staff was rather distant
un hostel agradable, grandisimo!. un poco costoso para lo q se ofrece, no cafe gratis, desayunos a buen precio, si viajas solo no conocea a nadie, la ducha se tapaba, camas con cortinas, no luz natural en dormitorios. en general bien. mas no super.
