Journey Junction Hostel sits very close to the bus station and the center of town, so it works well as a base for quick stopovers and day trips. The beds are comfy and warm, the rooms are clean, and the showers are a real standout: hot, strong, and reliably good. There is a roomy common area with beanbags, board games, chess, a woodstove or fireplace, and a bar area. It gives the place an easy place to linger in the evening. Large lockers, bedside sockets, and lights add to the practical setup, and the whole place feels designed for simple comfort rather than flash. Staff are friendly and hands-on, with help for directions, transport, and outings. The hostel is straightforward and useful, with a central location and a calm, lived-in feel that works well for a night or two in Nuwara Eliya.
