Drop Inn Hostels

Avoid this place!!! I've been traveling in srilanka for 1 month different hostels and hotels and no bite. I've stayed in this place just for 1 night and my whole body is full of bed bugs bites... literally my whole body...even my face. Staying here just made my last day of the trip the worst one.

Attention punaises de lit. Ils le savent mais ne traitent pas !!!! Jai eu des dizaines de piqûres et suis allergique ! Le reste est top mais cest grave de ne pas traiter ce problème !!!!

The hostel really has potential but has bedbugs. I had over 40 bites on body after two nights there. I didn’t sleep for the two nights as I was woken up all night from the bites. When i told them about it, it was clear that they already knew about the issue and quickly offered a refund. The staff was really nice and food was great.

Great service and amazing food!! Location also very nice and quick tuk tuk drive to the city center. Unfortunately low rating, because of bed bugs in our dorm room. We recieved a refund, which was nice, but unfortunately we had to spent more money on the laundry - washing all of our clothes and personal items to get rid of the bed bugs. And unfortunately it seems like the staff already knew about the situation with bed bugs.

It was a very nice hostel, but unfortunately there was a problem with bed bugs in the dorm room we got, and also in one of the other rooms. But the staff were very nice, and it seemed like they took it seriously and are trying to fix the problem. Everything else at the hostel was amazing. The staff and food were amazing, and the common areas and bathrooms were super clean.

Bed bugs, sooo noisy.

Bed bugs. They said they cleaned the room after one guest complained but didn’t have anyone clear their belongings out. They let him change beds and rooms but no one else in the room was moved. Also multiple times at night I would hear the door open and close - from someone outside of the room, one guy in my room said that someone came in opened his curtain slightly in the middle of the night and walked back out of the room.

There were bed bugs in the bed, realized it in my last day

The hostel would have been okay, if it weren't for the fact we had bedbugs in our dorm. At least 3 out of 6 beds had them including mine. I told the staff and they changed the bed curtains where I found them, but really, they need to deep clean the whole room and mattresses. The hostel itself seemed nice, it's basic, but for the price, what I expected. The staff seemed nice.

The value for money & location were good. However our room had bed bugs and we needed up leaving at 5am after waking up with them crawling up my arm, so unfortunately this ruined the experience for us a bit

Beds were having bed bugs. I couldn't sleep and got so many bed bugs bites. I told this to staff member and he looked at the other guy, said something and laughed. Ofcourse I didn't understand cause they spoke in their local language but I understood that it wasn't something nice and they were aware about the bed bugs issue.

The beds are not comfortable. They have strings and are old, and I saw some bed bugs. I had back pain every morning. The room smelled like paint, and some of my things in the female shower disappeared in just a few hours. The common area is very simple, and what I thought was from the common area was actually from private rooms... Wouldn't recommend this hostel unless you are low budgeting, but don't expect much...

I would not recommend it. It smells like paint, there's bed bugs, and they will throw away your toilet things if you just leave on your dorm bathroom. And it's far away from everything...

Eigentlich war alles top! Super schöne Unterkunft abgelegen von der Stadt! Alles top! Jedoch Bettwanzen in den Zimmern! Leider am ganzen Körper Bisse festgestellt….. bereits während des Aufenthalt hatten sich mehrere Gäste beschwert.

Better don't go. The room was not good. I ended up with bed bugs. Which ruined half of my further holiday. So my whole clothes had to be washed because of bed bugs and also everything smelled bad after staying two nights in the shared room. The shared room had no windows. The bathrooms were okay. I also contacted the hostel afterwards but they never replied.

Although the hostel is a lovely atmosphere I was really disappointed in how they dealt with my bed having bed bugs. I reported it to the staff discreetly so they can fumigate the bed and move me to a different bed. Although they were apologetic and acted shocked that there was bed bugs, all they did was add a little spray and then just put someone else in that bed! I told the new person to move so they spoke to the staff and they just put someone else there again. I would not recommend staying here at all.

There were bed bugs in one of the beds. Even after letting them know there was a bedbug issue, they just sprayed the bed and gave the bed to someone else. Good location though
