Mistico Hostel 23

Dirty showers, toilet door didn’t lock, no soap to wash your hands nor paper to dry them. Uncomfortable furniture made for terrible living space. Flies everywhere. The whole place looks like it was just bodged together in a hurry and with very low effort. The staff were friendly but I still would not recommend this hostel.

There are only two toilets for a large amount of people when hostel is full, Kitchen is small and only has one washing area for the entire kitchen. Also, administration, kitchen and living room is in the same place, which is also the entrance to the hostel. We highlight the very good staff attention, specially Clara from front desk.

The price was too high for such a basic hostel. The location for hiking was good and showers were hot but there is a lot that could be improved. There were flies everywhere and cutlery had to be requested at reception however staff were not very approachable. My underbed locker was open at one side so anyone could easily reach in. Common areas were spacious and good atmosphere among other guests. Only one female and male bathroom for whole hostel.

0 atmosphere whatsoever, uncomfortable beds and furniture in common areas. 10,000 pesos to rent a towel.

pros: heater worked and mattresses were relatively new looking. Cons: terrible wifi, no locks on women's toilets, only 2 toilets up stairs in the women's bathroom accessible. The pillow and sheets on our beds were extremely old, thin and discoloured. The main bathroom door for women opens directly to where the showers are. The window in our dorm didn't keep the street noise out. Not worth what they are charging currently. I would recommend they invest into a few areas to bring the value up.

Staff are kind, friendly and helpful. The kitchen is small and awkward & has the BARE minimum - one of each cooking tool, & doesn’t even have salt or cooking oil. Not a single door handle in the place works, and the bathrooms don’t have locks. The bathrooms could be much cleaner, and the lobby area could be warmer (they tend to prop the doors open). The wifi doesn’t work either. Our room was good, but at our next hostel we saw someone from 23 who said their room there had bed bugs. YIKES!

Please add locks to the bathroom door, it's the minimum

It has only the necessary to do a trekking and go back for a hot bath and sleep, no more. The kitchen was full of people all the time and very low utensils to prepare food. Also there are no cabinets to put your food or groceries at the kitchen, you have to find a box and put it on the floor. The cabinets in the beds have no way to locked them so your things aren’t safe under a lock. Had a good time here, the staff and owner were great, the kitchen is pretty well supplied, the bathrooms are cleaned every day and are decently spacious. The rooms were good, pretty simple but I think most hostels in El Chalten are that way. Maybe lacked a little bit of comfy seating but all in all I would stay again

Una excelente ubicación sobre la calle principal, cerca de lugares donde comer o ir por una cerveza, habitaciones cómodas y ventiladas con camas cómodas, los lockers algo incomodos ya que están debajo de las camas pero funcionales, los baños amplios limpios y bien equipados

Hostel idéalement placé pour les divers rando et bar/restau ! Le propriétaire est tres gentil et donne de nombreux conseils. Toutes les personnes travaillant à l’hostel sont adorables. + j’avais une question avant d’arriver car j’allais arriver après 22h et ils ont répondu à mon mail directement ce qui n’est pas le cas de tous les hostel !

location is great in between the bus station and the start of the trails, big kitchen, warm shower, I didn't find it very social but I guess everybody is focus on do the treks and wake up early/go to sleep early

This hostel is an excellent choice for anyone looking to stay in El Chalten. The facilities are clean and comfortable and the staff treat everyone with respect. When my bus back to El Calafate got cancelled due to weather, they let me hang out on the couches until the early morning for my next bus. The atmosphere here is social without being a party hostel. El Chalten is small and walkable, so the hostel is in a good location. The hostel is quite expensive, like most places in El Chalten.

Tout les incontournables sont au top : rappprt qualité-prix, personnel présent, disponible, toujours quelqu'un à la réception et en plus, confort literie et lits superposés avec une belle hauteur pour les lits y compris du bas, douches vastes et eau bien chaude, équipement cuisine complet et propreté irréprochable ( merci la team ménage) , un emplacement central... le ptit truc en plus serait plus de confort dans les espaces détente et un esprit un peu plus "cosy" je crois que c'es...

El personal. son personas maravillosas que te ayudan en todo momento. El lugar es limpio y muy seguro, lo recomendaría 100% siempre 🙂

Great hostel!

Very nice place to stay

Enjoyed my stay here. Nice showers and good kitchen to use. Central location.

Lit très confortable, mais le reste n’est pas très bien. La salle de bain n’a même pas de savon pour les mains, la cuisine est très peu fournie (pas de spatule et même pas de poivre ou de d’huile d’olive). Tu a le droit à un set de couvert que l’on te donne à ton Check in et que tu dois garder avec toi. J’ai trouvé ça étrange. Le prix est démesuré pour ce qu’il fournissent.

Toiletten in den Waschräumen leider nicht abschließbar - auch wenn es dennoch gut funktioniert hat. Freundliches Personal, Gepäck konnte zwischendurch abgestellt werden, Nächte spontan verlegt werden. Danke
