C’était horrible infesté de bedbugs et ne remboursent pas

Great hostel but now have a bunch of bed bug bites, seems it was at least contained to only my bed and not the others too.

Location is good. People are nice. Beware of bed bugs we had someone in our group bitten. Not very confortable or clean but pretty cheap.

At first it was overall okay for the price, although the water in the shower was only slightly warm in the evening and there are no locks on the lockers for bags, which are also quite small. But that was still the good part. During the night, I found some bed bugs on my bed. I took pictures and videos of it (there were even bigger than the ones in the pictures) and showed it at the reception. They gave me a refund, which was nice of them, although there was no apology or sympathy. I was staying with my friend who also had a problem with bed bugs. When we went to complain about this, the manager told us to get our bags (it was still almost an hour before the check-out time). After we did as he requested, the manager started saying that we were the ones to bring the bed bugs. After this situation, I checked the reviews on Google maps, which were DRASTICALLY different from the ones on the "Booking" app. MULTIPLE reviews also mention the bug problem. I tried to say this to the manager as he was refusing to give the refund to my friend. Then, the manager started to aggressively tell us to leave. I wanted to start filming, he took my phone and started pushing me down the very steep stairs, refusing to give me back my phone. When I got to the exit, he gave me my phone back. I was still trying to reason with him and show the videos I took of the bed bugs. He started closing the door, hitting me with it. Then he pushed me in the chest out of the door and closed it. I complained at the Booking and they were really kind and supportive, which I am really grateful for. But this hostel is not what I can recommend to anyone

A pesar de que son muy amables las instalaciones no son las mejores, nose dejen llevar por los comentarios buenos, este hostal tiene mala limpieza, solo al entrar me pude percatar de eso y si no fuera por los malos comentarios no abría checado la cama antes de instalarme donde encontré chinches, lo bueno fue que pude salir a tiempo espero le ayude a alguien más.

The bed has bed bugs, I have hives all over my body. Our room doesn’t have hot water and the people staying at my room (12 beds shared room) were sooo noisy

We chose to stay somewhere else for the night after finding bed bugs in our room. It was fairly small and cramped, even as hostels go, and wasn't the cleanest.

Bathroom needed a lot of work, no toilet seat, hooks barely hanging on, no shelf for clothing. bed was dirty. guy next to us had bed bugs. the lock for our door was so difficult to open someone inside needed to let us in every time. also the beds were tiny and the mattress very thin, very difficult to sleep.

Good hostel. Nice people. Stairs and trash smelt like weed - but that’s expected in amsterdam. I did find one bed bug in my bed. GREAT location, very central, but on a street with clubs so you can hear the bass a little tiny bit. Pretty clean and would stay again

No bed bugs. We were in a horrible room the first night, but reception was very accommodating and moved us. I would not recommend for someone staying the weekend, as it is over a nightclub which is loud until about 3am. Sunday-Wednesday nights are much quieter, and we only had 1 other person in our 6 bed room. Front desk is cash only, if you need towels or snacks. Free coffee in the morning and they hand out Madeleines at the front desk sometimes. Amazing location, near great restaurants and shopping. No elevator, and the stairs are very narrow. There are only 5 lockers per room, even in the 8 bed rooms. I really wish they would install some hooks on the wall to hang jackets

Die Sauberkeit lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Betten waren von der Sauberkeit her gut/okay aber die Räume und das Haus an sich war nicht sauber und es war sehr stickig

La habitación tenía un problema de chinches y no pude dormir. Al menos me devolvieron el dinero sin darme problemas. Por la noche y por la mañana, el baño de la planta baja tenía el suelo lleno de orina, deberían darle un repaso con mayor frecuencia. La habitación, de 14 camas, tampoco contaba con aire ni ventilador.

The room was clean, no bed bugs, good position, with a very nice Café next door. The host was very nice, the milk cream for the coffee was very good and the bathroom is completely functional, the only downside is that there is no bidet. Beds a little bit short, I'm 178cm and i could touch the end of the bed, without the possibility of letting them extend out of the bed.

The worst hostel i have ever been. It was extremely dirty , bed bugs bite me in 2 of their rooms and they just didn't care. I took photos of the bugs and they pretended that nothing happened – i even had allergic reaction.. The toilets were also disgusting. It was really bad experience and for sure it's not value for the money. I don't know how people sleep there, I left..

I found a bed bug in my room, and they just moved me, but should’ve really closed off the room. Not an especially clean hostel, but it has a good location. Would not stay again however.

De bedwantsen. Het stonk er en er was niets voor wat frisse lucht. 1 badkamer en wc samen voor 14 man.

BED BUGS. Made us pay in cash and refused to give us our money back even though the rooms were uninhabitable due to the infestation of bugs.

Reception and Staff very nice. However I had bed bug bites after one night... Another con is that in a room for 15 people there is only one bathroom. Location is fine, it's on the street that is full of bars, but it isn't disturbing. A small 'kitchen' - a place to boil water, free coffee, sometimes snacks. Wouldn't stay againg because of bed bugs. If not that I would consider coming back.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! BED BUGS!! I stayed at this hostel with six friends, and all of us have now developed bites all over our bodies a week later. We found bed bug blood in the bed during our stay and a live bedbug — we’re now left dealing with the physical discomfort and the stress of possibly bringing bed bugs home with us. This trip has seriously affected me. I’ve had to deep-clean my belongings, and I’m still incredibly anxious that the bugs are now in my home. What’s worse is the hostel offered little support while we were there or responded since we reached out. During our stay: • The toilet seat was broken • The beds were small and uncomfortable • The street outside was extremely loud until 4am, making it impossible to sleep • And despite reporting the issue, the hostel staff did not move us, did not check in, and seemed completely unfazed by our concerns This was not just poor service — it was a serious health and hygiene issue. I would strongly urge others to stay away from this hostel. Bed bugs are not just a nuisance — they follow you home, affect your mental wellbeing, and are expensive and difficult to get rid of. Until the hostel addresses these problems and improves its standards, it should not be taking bookings.

I booked this hostel on the app HostelWorld, where their overall rating is much better. Come to find out, the stay would be awful. The hostel itself was dirty, loud at night, very hot without a/c, and extremely cramped. I found bed bugs in my bed. I will attach a photo of the evidence. I marched down to the reception desk and they gave me a refund in cash (which is how you must pay upon arrival) but after they cancelled my stay online they then charged my credit card that they had on file. What a slimy operation they are running. I know other travelers also had issues with bed bugs. The fact they charged my card after giving me a refund in cash tells me they’ve done that before.

unfortunately this hostel has a severe bed bug infestation that needs to be properly sorted before anyone can stay. It was cheap so I feel like I can’t complain too much about the very loud street outside and the uncomfy bed but the bed bug situation makes this uninhabitable. Do not stay here

Infestado de chinches 🪲🪳

Me picaron chinches por todo el cuerpo. No hospedarse ahí. No tienen idea de como me han picado y dejado el cuerpo. Hasta ampollas me han salido

Mi pareja hizo una reserva para pasar una noche en Amsterdam. Si bien el lugar es muy céntrico, las instalaciones son insalubres totalmente. Habitaciones con 14 personas, sin cortinas en las camas, los baños y todo con un aspecto de no haberse limpiado en días. Muy desagradable ya desde el inicio. Lo peor es que a la mañana siguiente, mi pareja se levantó con picaduras por todo el cuerpo. Tuvimos que ir al médico y nos dijo se debía a las picaduras de CHINCHES. Añado fotos para que se vea como quedó. Lo mismo que en los pies, tiene en la espalda. Un lugar lamentable para dormir. Mejor buscar otra opción. No entiendo cómo las autoridades sanitarias holandesas no cierran semejante lugar. Si quieres llevarte un mal recuerdo de Amsterdam, este es tu lugar o para recomendar a alguien que te caiga mal.

It's a hostel, so you do not expect much, but I've got 30 bedbug bites after my stay here and terrified that I brought them home.

the hosel was the worst i've stayed in and deterred me from staying at hostels in the future. there were bed bugs that were not addressed, no AC, extremely loud noise, and a loud snorer who kept everyone in my room awake all night. the place advertised itself as having 24/7 customer service so i tried to switch room after not being able to sleep but no one was around to help. for this price and such low quality beds and amenities, it is not a deal whatsoever.

Unfortunately, I should have believe the comments... I had the unluck to have bed bugs. I was not the only one to have some. I hope the staff will take the time to clean the place well, as it seems to be something frequent. But at least, the staff were really nice! The rooms are not soundproof at all. I know that I took a mixed rooms as they don't have female only room. However I found myself with 10 guys, so if you are a girl and wouldn't like that situation, be aware that it can happ

Bathroom and rooms in general stink terribly. And there are bed bugs in some of the rooms.

Está semana el hostel estaba plagado de chinches.Han salido acribillados a picotazos.Espero que lo desinfefecten

Si lo que buscas es una auténtica inmersión en la fauna local, este hostal no decepciona: compartí habitación con chinches tan hospitalarios que no me dejaron dormir ni una noche. Las sábanas, aparentemente heredadas de generaciones anteriores de mochileros, tenían manchas que podrían contar historias (pero preferí no preguntar).

Bedbugs at this hostel I would avoid it

I stayed here from 5-8 July, I got bitten by bed bugs, whilst the staff were initially very understanding and sorry and said I would be given a discount, the manager has since been rude via email and said there is no discount rate and denying I got bitten. The property itself felt unsafe, with no lock on the main door which is on the street of bars, and anyone could walk up outside the room yourself staying in. Apart from that one staff was very nice.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOSTEL. My partner was covered in bed bug bites from staying here. It is located on a strip of night clubs that are loud until all hours of the morning, one night music was loud until 6:30 am. Beds were awfully small, bathroom was disgusting and they made us pay in cash which we did not have at the time so had to find an ATM. Would NOT recommend at all.
