Centrum House Hostel

Don’t be fooled by the good reviews, they offer you free towels in exchange for five stars. When we arrived we were rushed and told “you have 30s to put down your shit” before the receptionist started smoking in front of us. We were supposed to sleep there but ended up leaving because of a horrible smell and extremely dirty rooms which had clearly not been cleaned. The window weren’t even properly insulated. On top of that it looked like there were bed bugs under the dirty sheets. The entrance should have been a clue It should be illegal to do this, if you are planning on coming RUN.

I was attacked by bed bugs. I wonder if they even clean the beds. I arrived late in the evening so i didnt see the black stains from the bed bugs and when I saw them in the morning it was already late. I had a terrible skin rash in my arm and leg from bed bugs. I totally discourage anyone to go there if u don’t want to spend extra money on sth as disgusting as bed bug bites

i can see why this hostel is ranked high, i could have had a good experience over there, but a disaster happened. i was sleeping in a room with some hostel volunteers (most of them were super nice), first i booked for 3 nights, before the 3rd i went to the lady in the reception and asked to extend, she said i could do it but will have to move a room because they had to clean the room i was in, sounds ok. the next day i woke up full of bedbugs bites, turns out one of the volunteers noticed bed bugs in the room and moved to a different room with another volunteer, but no one told me this and the hostel left me in this room despite knowing they have bed bugs there - both the volunteer and the receptionist, they didn't even tell some of the other volunteers in the room!! the next day i moved my bag and clothes to the new room, and it's possible that i moved the bed bugs with me, because they didn't tell me about them. once i found out what happened i got really mad, i must say that they were fine from that point, they gave me my money back and washed all of my clothes (they shrinked most of them though... don't do laundry there), they even offered me to stay in the hostel for free but there was no way i was staying there for one more moment, i went to JugendStube hostel that was great. the staff just didn't understand the importance of bed bugs, and the boss wasn't around at the time. bed bugs is one of the worst things that can happen to a traveller, because it sucks and makes you weak for days, and of you are not letting the traveller know he'll spread the bed bugs. another bad thing is the horrible smell of cigarettes from the hallway, not only from the hostel but the other businesses in this building. for some reason I can't leave a review of the hostel in Hostelworld despite booking and paying through the app, i think the hostel might be trying to avoid bad reviews.

I checked out yesterday so I remember pretty well how was it. I spent 2 night in 2 different rooms (Navy after Orange) So first night were okay (Navy room) just one negative thing that the windows face the street with hostel bar so it were noisy. Second night were horrible bc of bed bugs. ( Orange room). Bed bugs literally run around my body all night. It was the worst experience that I ever had altho I traveled around 30 countries. So now I have "free souvenir" in the form of bites all over the body. On the pics - bunch of smashed bugs that i found at morning and just small part of bites that I have after. If talk about positive side it's nice friendly staff. Хорошая локация и приятный персонал, а среди минусов это "клоповник".

Its one great fun and lovely places to stay in all Romania because of the workers. They are all very cool, sweet and honest. I notice a lot of good in them all. Very positive place and the energy here I would go back to stay in a second. I had other accommodations but beds open up and we decide just to stay. I will miss them and the other guest. Thank you all for making this Californian stay the best it could be especially at the great rate. See yah in Cali one day 😉Small issue with bed bugs I heard but that partly because of hikers and bikers coming in last minute and there really nothing you can do. You can't force and wash everyone. So on occass there are issues like this, its going to happen, I've been to 53 countries in the world believe me, mother nature wins
