Vila Rock Hostel

Please reconsider staying here. I have never met ruder staff. They accused us multiple times of breaking some rules, which they didn’t even had informed us of. Then they had the audacity to tell us, they weren’t rude against because they helped us extend our stay with one night. The facilities are very dirty, there are construction going on, so everything is dusty. You have to ask, for the trash to be taken out. There are no quiet hours, people are noisy all around the clock.

Hostel was a building site when we arrived and we received no heads up from the property that this would be the case. The construction work was noisy and very messy. The bathroom on our floor was also under maintenance, but it was difficult using the outside bathrooms as they were drilling up the path. Expensive for what was paid for

wasn't allowed to lie on the couch on my checkout day.....sorry thats a no go. there was no one around... 3 empty couches.

The manager screamed at me multiple times for asking simple questions, ie. for asking for the ac remote, and made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.The hostel didn’t supply towels in a private and in fact charged 4x the rate that was posted behind the desk in two places. There was hair all over the hostel. And the place was actually disgusting, unclean, and run down. The neighborhood is sketchy. One volunteer did do a good job bringing together for welcome drinks.

Not the best. Lost of building work happening in the hostel which meant it was quite dirty and not very relaxing. Not a great location, not much around the area. Not much of an atmosphere in the social area in the evening. Staff were nice enough.

Very basic hostel, no hot water and not the cleanest. Hardly saw any other people during our two night stay. Staff were doing repairs and kept drilling, things seemed unfinished.

the place is really really dirty. clearly the dorms havent been cleaned in weeks or even months. there was lots of dort and old things on the ground, used tissues between my mattress and the wall, and filth everywhere, also in the bathrooms. it also smells filthy in the property. weird vibe. staff is nice and helpful but my god clean the place!!!

The properly is a little run down and needs some TLC. The bar was closed during our visit and there didn't seem to be much of a social scene. It left like there were most workers staying there than guests.

the description mentioned a $10 breakfast that is no longer available, the staff only told us after arrival. I recommend using Google Maps because the instructions on how to get there from the metro were wrong. besides that it's clean, organized, the kitchen is very good too.

Very good service from all the hosts. The place isn't very clean, but it's in line with the price. It's important to note that it's located quite far from the historic center and popular tourist areas.

Lovley staff and social hostle, close to subway station

The sleeping pods and the hot shower were the only things I liked. Everything looked way bigger and nicer in the photos; it felt way less cozy and cool in person. And a couple areas were under construction so they were completely unusable and filled with junk. The kitchen was dirty with disgustingly old cookware, blender and sponge (which was eventually replaced). The carpet on the stairs was gross and falling apart. Next door were two dogs, often barking. No locks on the dorm rooms.

Everyone was amazing, really cool energy and the facilities were *chefs kiss* As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and will come back for sure

Excelente hostel y atención. El lugar me sirvio para conectar con el aeropuerto en pocos minutos. Super limpio y para nada ruidoso

I really enjoyed this hostel. The common areas and rooms are great, everything is very clean, and there are plenty of showers and toilets available. The staff is very friendly, especially Luiz who was very kind, welcoming and helpful. Without him, the experience wouldn’t have been the same :) Overall, the hostel makes you feel at home.

Really good hostel, clean, nice beds and wonderful showers. It is not the most social hostel in my opinion and it the location is not the best but neither awful. Luis in the staff is amazing and will take good care of you 🇸🇪🇧🇷

Staff were lovely and great to have enclosed bunks but the ladder is lethal. Bathrooms smelled and weren’t particularly clean, social areas were small and had an odd lay out. Bedrooms also weren’t very clean.

We had an amazing stay at the villa rock hostel. The showers and toilets were great and always very clean. We stayed in the 6 person dorm room and this was fine. The people we met and the staff, especially Luiz E. were amazing. We partied all week with carnaval and had the best time.

Good location and facilities they regularly clean. The main negative for me was that late at night like 3am when people come back from nights out they all gather to chat in the garden which is right next to the room and impossible to sleep through. but hey it was carnaval so maybe it's not always like that.

An amazing hostel that is in a really cool area and filled with awesome people. Luiz E made our stay fantastic with his accommodating persona and making sure we were safe and enjoying Carnival! Facilities clean, drinks cold and the vibes up! Book here for sure 😀

I had a great stay at Vila Rock Hostel! The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed, and perfect for meeting other travelers. The location is very good and the common areas are comfortable and clean.The staff was extremely kind and helpful during my stay — especially Luiz E., who was always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything I needed. He really made the experience even better.I definitely recommend this hostel and would happily stay here again!

Un séjour qui s’est bien passé. Les hôtes étaient agréables ! L’emplacement était très bien. Par contre, les salle de bain à l’étage était régulièrement sales et un toilette bouché. Sinon c’est un Hostel que l’on recommande à Sao Paulo.
