Central Hotel Gloucester

Nothing to dislike to be honest.. everything was stones throw from this Hotel including the Train Station

Don't go here I was going to check in until I read the reviews and seen they have a bed bug infestation clearly don't clean the place properly even from the outside it looks so run down and skatty the receptionist will lie to you when you confront them about the bed bugs they will say it was ages ago and they solved it but there's a review one month ago talking about the bed bugs honestly I wouldn't go here unless you like dirty places and getting bitten by bugs

Stayed here twice and I love it. It’s good location, friendly staff, easy check in, lovely rooms with fridge and a microwave! The only things I’d comment on is bed bugs.. we had a couple of red bugs crawling in our bed which isn’t great but apart from that it’s quite, great location, near all the shops and train station. Reasonable sized bedroom but the rules are crazy like ‘£100 fine for opening the window’

Location might seem good in the day, next to the shopping centre, but we arrived at night and there were lots of drunks, homeless people, gangs of tracksuit kids riding up and down on e-bikes. Whole building was odd - weird reception with piles of Sainsbury's bags and what looked like a temporary office desk. Room was extremely basic. Threadbare carpets. Curtains were just sort of rags hanging off the poles. Window didn't close properly so we could hear the kids fighting outside. And the whole place smelt, really bad! I was shocked since the Booking.com reviews and photos looked good, but we checked Google reviews and they're awful, reports of bed bugs etc, so I can only assume the Booking.com reviews are fake. We paid £150 up-front for 2 nights, but we just couldn't stay - we checked out straight away and the man at the desk just looked sad and said "I understand". I feel so let down by Booking.com, it's been good for so many stays, but this was just awful.

An absolute nightmare. We booked a room for a couple of nights and I woke up the first night covered in bug bites. Someone came to investigate the room and made us feel like we were lying. The person left and then came back to tell us that if we wanted a refund we had to leave right now. It was 4am and we’re two girls alone in Gloucester. They clearly don’t care about our safety, and was happy to have us out on the street at night. We tried to call other hotel in the middle of the night but of course no one wanted us due to the bed bugs. Absolutely horrible. Also the receptionist wasn’t friendly or welcoming at all. Edit : it’s been two months and although I tried everything not to bring the bed bugs home, my flat is now infested. I had to throw my mattress and get a new one, buy a steamer and a vacuum cleaner and im still getting bitten. Im devastated. And no refund for the nights.

Bed bugs!! Me and my partner are not having a good first night, bites everywhere and bad allergic reaction! We really hope a refound for our 3 nights left.

Bed bugs!!! Me and my partner stayed at Central Hotel Gloucester mid september for one night in room 105. Upon waking in the morning we were covered in insect bites. When we looked at the bed, sheets and walls we saw lots of bed bugs crawling all over the place. We collected 15 of these in a glass in the room and immediately presented them to reception, and escalated to hotel management. After examining our injuries on return home, we each had around 150 all over our bodies! 150 each!!! On researching into the hotel further we were very disappointed to find numerous reviews on Booking.com, Google & Trip Advisor all reporting bed bugs at this hotel in the months leading up to our stay!! We’ve been even more disappointed to see further reviews of more people suffering bed bug bites at this hotel in the weeks after our ordeal, after we very clearly presented live and photographic evidence of the bed bug infestation, and our injuries to hotel management. We had to dispose of our luggage, launder our clothes at very high temperatures and are hoping and praying that we have not brought this infestation back to our own house. We really wish we had spent the time reading the other reviews before staying at Central Hotel Gloucester. We hope no one else suffers from this horrendous experience!!!

Me and my wife went to Gloucester central hotel for one night, we check in at 6 pm we had to leave at 11:30 pm . I woke up scratching myself all over As I put the lights on , the bed was full of bed bugs , we call the receptionist, but this was not new to them, I realised my body was full of bites and my wife’s . They didn’t want to give as another room, I could see they just wanted us out of there , like this was our fault. We had to ask them for black bags to put all our suitcases and bag packs , and find another hotel in the middle of the nite. Then we spend nearly 3 days washing our clothes and dry cleaning them and spraying the suitcases with fly killer, and the car another £70 on a valet, we didn’t want to bring this bugs home. And we got charge twice for one night. As you can see we went through a lot cause there’s no hygiene in this place. I don’t wish this on anybody, it was a nightmare , also I have pictures and videos

Unfortunately I ve been bitten by bed bugs in whole body! I'm back home and contact with doctor as I get bad allergy reaction. Definitely not recommend to snybody
