The hostel is really far away from everything. there is only one dorm so its hard to get in touch with people. the Community Area was unser construction so it wasnt nice to hang Out there.

Had a lovely stay at this hostel in Ometepe, run by a very nice local family. The home cooked breakfasts were amazing. However we left disappointed and frustrated with our hosts in the end. The island is a popular destination to hire bikes and scooters, so we took the opportunity to to hire ours directly with the hostel! We had great fun on the bikes for 4 days, however we were given poor helmets which didn’t fit our heads rendering them completely useless and one of our bikes broke down far f...

The location, staff, and food was amazing. However our cabana was quit rough & dirty. You must be comfortable with bugs/heat. Alejandro was amazing & his family was so kind and welcoming.

Beautiful hostel in a beautiful location. Dorm was like sleeping in a treehouse and the sunrise when you wake up is out of the world! Recommended just for that! Also amazing sunsets by the beach area. Alejandro was great and more than happy to help with any requests. I feel like breakfast should be included in the price however. Also it would be nice to have a common area outside of the dorm (not by the beach) where people can sit and talk on the evenings. Definitely recommend at least 2 nigh...

This was a lovely hostel although don’t make the mistake I had as it’s the WRONG SIDE of the island! I ended up just renting a scooter each day and it took an hour to get to the other side which ended up being fine. The staff were really lovely and super helpful. There’s a tiny pretty much private beach one minute away with beautiful sunset views. Food was good but there are literally no shops or restaurants this side so be prepared!

Nice place if you want to chill for a night or two. Right beside the lakeshore so you can sit and watch sunset. In a more rural part of the island but pretty and felt safe - 20 min walk back into town. The staff were very friendly. Only downside was no kitchen

We really enjoyed our time here and felt very accommodated by the hosts. They helped us with everything we needed and the food was delicious

Great location with beach access and an easy walk to town. Meals were delicious and everyone was friendly.

Very simple but clean accommodation near Moyogalpa. It takes about 5 minutes by cab or tuktuk to get to the accommodation. It is located in a residential area of locals. There is not really anything to see but the host Alejandro and his family are very nice, cook delicious food and help with organizing activities. Pool table to play and hammocks available to chill. The rooms are not closed in some places. Therefore, insects can come in. There is a mosquito net over the bed for protection.

Enjoyed our 2 nights here. Cozy cabins in between the banana- and palmtrees. I’d recommand the place as a very first stay when arriving @ Ometepe. It is close to the main port and Luis can then you evth about the rest of the island. You can make well informed decisions about your further stay based on that. Luis is a very good host. Nice breakfast. Improvements: - make upgrades at the lake spot (dead place during low season). E.g., hammocks, relax chairs - have soap in the bathroom

A lovely family run hostel, just outside Moyogalpa. It has access to an almost private beach with amazing sunsets and the staff are amazing and helpful. It’s a bit of a walk to/from Moyogalpa so you do need your own transport if you plan to use it as a base to explore the island & the family owns are scooter hire company so they can deliver to you there. Kitchen was minimally equipped but it was ok for simple cooking (shops are limited on the island anyway). Overall great stay!

De loin l’un de mes meilleurs séjours en hostel. Alejandro et sa famille sont très accueillants et sympathiques. L’endroit semble un peu reculé mais le spot est magnifique (surtout pour les couchers de soleil) et ça se fait très bien en scooter Le petit dejeuner est tres nice aussi Bref je recommande à 100%

Es qar ein sehr schöner Aufenhalt. Nachts war es sehr windig und wir konnten die Fenster nicht schliessen. Daher war es nachts eher frisch und sehr laut

We loved our stay here! The familiy is super sweet and friendly, the room and balcony were amazing and there is the opportunity to buy tasty breakfast and dinner. We would definetly come back

✨ NICARAGUAN OWNED ✨ Had an amazing stay at this family owed hostel. Perfect room, new kitchen, laundry service, scooter that are IN VERY GOOD SHAPE to rent. Beautiful sunsets every night ☀️ The family was lovely, the two brothers were very available to help in all kind of ways. I highly recommend this place to explore this side of the island. Use you money wisely and encourage this amazing Nicaraguan family instead of the big hostels owned by foreigners 🙏🏼

Honestly all around perfect. Made our ometepe trip perfect & hopefully will have the opportunity of return to this hostel. One of the kindest families we have gotten the opportunity of meeting.

Great location, very remote and in the jungle, but not too far from Moyogalpa. Cool layout and setting within the place, with great sunset nearby, but improvements could still be made Alejandro is a legend, he made everything so easy! Sorted free ferry pick up, provided valuable island info, sorted me with a guide for Concepcion, scooter rental, and taxis, as well as food! What a guy! Worth noting as it is in the jungle, there are a lot of bugs around, with some in the room at times

It’s nice and tucked away from a lot of the bustle for a quiet retreat. The family is very nice. Our only main issue was that the power was out one night we stayed so we didn’t have WiFi or lights.

Loved this stay. It is a bit further than most hostels on the side of the island, but the location is beautiful! Right to the water! Easy to rent scooters right there for a super great price. Alejandro is super considerate and helpful. I just loved the stay. Truly immersed in nature and genuine local preserved place. If you are lucky you get to play some pool against some family members😅

Basically located inside a family‘s little village, it’s run by incredibly kind people. Big shoutout to Alejandro and José!! Keep in mind that the location is a bit further from the main attractions, so you have to drive to get there. On the other hand, you need to rent a scooter anyway on the island, and the roads are really good, so it’s actually fun and you get cool views of the volcano :)

Alejandro was a great host, he gave us loads of recommendations for the island, sorted out scooter rental and organised the ferry pick up and drop off. Our room was really spacious and the private bathroom was great, the breakfast and dinner available at the hostel was affordable and tasty. Keep in mind you are near the ferry terminal here so it is a big ride or drive to most things on the island like El Pital, Playa Mangos etc.

he, i stayed here for 32 days and absolutely loved it. i needed a break from traveling and this place was great to do it!! the family is so nice and they will help you with everything that you need. beautiful sunsets on the families beach, great breakfasts, scooter rentals whatever. if your looking for a super relaxing place to stay that is not all surrounded by big tourism then this place is awesome, the hospetality is a 10, thank you so much! greatz Ivo

Stayed in a private room. Enjoyed our stay here. The staff were lovely picking us up from the port and organising scooters for us. Great value for money

C’est un super logement. Le propriétaire est très sympathique, il prend le temps de nous expliquer tout ce qu’on peut faire et est très serviable. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et les logements sont très bien
