Toc Hostel Barcelona

Horrible. Nos esperábamos una habitación compartida, pero jamás que los baños no iban a tener ningún tipo de privacidad. El baño de la habitación tenía una puerta corrediza y cualquiera podía entrar. Los del pasillo tampoco tenían seguro. De hecho vimos sin querer a otra huésped haciendo sus necesidades. Los lockers tienes que arrendar 1€ por día la pequeñísima caja fuerte y para el armario un candado. No te inspira nada de confianza. Empezamos a sentir PICADAS en el cuerpo y justo entramos a Google y vimos que tenían CHINCHES, por lo que salimos HUYENDO del sitio. No solo eso, también vimos un review en el cual reventaron unos candados. Solo estuvimos un par de horas pero preferimos abandonar el sitio y recurrir a otro hotel. La verdad perdí completamente mi dinero ya que esto no tiene ningún tipo de reembolso. Cuando nos marchamos ni tuvo caso pasar por recepción ya que siempre estuvo full de gente. LA PEOR EXPERIENCIA EN UNA ESTADÍA EN MI VIDA. No pierdan su dinero. No vale lo caro que cuesta, porque barato no es.

This hostel might seem fine—until a problem arises. If your locker is broken into, belongings are stolen, bed bugs appear, or conflicts occur, the staff may ignore the issue or even gaslight you instead of taking responsibility. Bed Bug Incident & Poor Management • I found a bed bug in my bed (I have photo evidence) and reported it to the staff. • They moved me to another room but told me to speak with the manager the next morning. • I barely slept, feeling uncomfortable and unable to unpack my belongings. The Next Morning Instead of addressing the issue, the manager: • Accused me of bringing in the bed bugs myself. • Claimed the cleaning team had already checked the room—but I personally saw my old bed untouched. • Dismissed my concerns and repeatedly told me to “calm down,” even though I was speaking calmly. It was clear she was trying to avoid responsibility rather than solve the problem. Broken Promises & Lies The manager verbally agreed to a full refund, so I left, believing the issue was resolved. However, when I contacted Agoda, they informed me that TOC Hostel refused the refund and was not responding. I returned to speak with the manager, but she lied to my face, saying: “I already approved the refund! Don’t worry, just enjoy your trip!” Meanwhile, Agoda still had no confirmation from them. Final Thoughts I have traveled extensively, staying in both budget hostels and high-end hotels, and I have never encountered such unprofessional and irresponsible management. Avoid this place if you expect any level of accountability.
