Madhuban Hotel

+ Food was over salted always. Too much money for simple food. Alongwith the tea only one sachet sugar provided. It was evident the hotel owner and management was greedy for money and not qualified for serving the needs of customers. Too far from the main area Kathmandu thamel market and durbar square.

- Low quality food and too much money charges. Soup 🍲 was lousy pathetic with maida flour mixture and synthetic flavour.

+ The rooms were generously proportioned and maintained a high standard of cleanliness, in line with the budgetary considerations.

- The breakfast and dinner offerings fell below the expected standard for a hotel of this caliber. The menu selection was notably limited and disproportionately expensive in relation to the quality of cuisine provided. It appeared as though the establishment maintained a basic menu solely for the sake of formality, rather than with genuine consideration for guest satisfaction. Furthermore, while In-Room Dining (IRD) services were available, they were subject to certain constraints. For instance, guests requesting authentic Nepali cuisine may find themselves inconvenienced by the necessity of retrieving additional items from the hotel's facilities themselves, a practice inconsistent with the expected level of service for such offerings. Additionally, the establishment's dinner schedule, if unchanged, concludes unreasonably early at 9 pm, potentially limiting guests' dining options and convenience. Such constraints detract from the overall guest experience and warrant reconsideration by hotel management.

- At night there is continuous slamming of the doors from 8-11pm. It’s crazy I tot was robbery. Maybe many mad ppl like to stay there.

- Breakfast minimal choice no fruit cereals etc ., plagued by pigeons noise ..building work noise nearby early morning .. young evening staff not friendly or positive hot water in morning rest of day not so..door locks need repair over priced for other hotels providing similar better service .. no female staff only a cleaner !.. money focus vibe I had food poisoning last day and the manager proudly said he would not charge me for a small bowl of rice 😂homan the manager was accommodating and helpful but not knowledgable about hiking generally though interested in what business you might have … Pressure to give a good review .. I gave them my feedback.. bit of a walk to thamel tourist area Generally it was ok and lots to like but I would not stay again

- Unfortunately we had bedbugs in their room. The room itself was stuffy and dusty. No vacuum used for cleaning.

+ I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed here now. Every time I come to Kathmandu this is my go-to place. I know it’s going to be comfortable, clean, quiet, calm and the staff are kind and helpful. Highly recommend for solo travellers, couples, friends, family! It’s located in a quiet place- there’s never any noise but it’s so close to Thamel- very short walk.

- Nothing, everything has been great, travelled round India for a month and this has been a perfect change.

+ My room was very clean and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly. Good food. Parking for my morning. I will stay here again.

+ 中国国際航空の帰国便がキャンセルされて困っていた時、オーナーのLAXMANさんがカトマンズオフィスまで同行し対応してくれた。おかげで翌日の便に搭乗できた。本当に助かった。頼りになるオーナーです。次回もぜひ利用したい。

+ I went Nepal as a solo traveller, and I was searching for a peaceful place to stay and I booked this hotel. It was really at a peaceful location very near from the main center (Thamel) and the tourist bus station is like 2 minutes away from the hotel. There is a supermarket near the hotel. All the staff are friendly, and responsive. The food I tasted there was good and tasty. Laxman, the owner there also had a trekking company from where I booked a short trekking. I highly recommend the hotel to all the travellers traveling to Kathmandu.

+ The staff were really helpful. They upgraded our room, helped us when we run out of cash to pay the cab and gave us very clear instructions. The breakfast was great, very filling.
