Breeze Lodge

We booked the room online & read the policies. It stated you needed a government issued ID. When we arrived, they wouldn’t accept our government issued ID of photo identification because it wasn’t a drivers license. They said it states it’s a drivers license, which once I got confirmation of the booking that did say drivers license & passport, but they did not say that prior to booking. Do not choose this hostel. They will fine you with a large amount for the fragile facility.

Very very basic. Small rooms and small beds. Found that most people there actually live there and the average age of all of them was about 40 years old meaning there was a lack of youthly fun and events. Everything was very small. Good location as the bus comes straight opposite the hostel and is very easy to get into main town

This hostel isn't the best, wouldn't really recommend it. Very good location, but not much space in the rooms really at all, it felt very cramped. You also do not get given a padlock for your locker to secure your bag in the room, which I thought was very poor. If you want a padlock you have to buy one at an extra cost and they don't even give you a towel. The curtains on the beds for privacy don't even close the whole way so people can still see you sleeping through the gaps.

Poor mattresses and a badly designed bathroom setup. Toilet and shower are separate, and the shower floods everything. One bathroom for around 30 people is completely insufficient. The walls are extremely thin – doors slamming and footsteps are audible until 1–3 a.m. The air conditioning is as loud as an airplane and makes sleeping nearly impossible. Not social at all. A lot of permanent residents which is fine but not good for making friends. Room smelled and was small. It was safe and staff were friendly though.

Habe mich allgemein nicht so wohl hier gefühlt. Viele die dort langzeit leben und auch viele ältere. Für einmal schlafen war es okay, ansonsten nehm ich persönlich lieber hostels mit Altersbeschränkung. Zudem ist dies eher ein Motel als ein Hostel.

Kind of a sketchy neighborhood, but I like that it was close to south bank. Only 5 parking spots available. Staff were really nice, but the showers were gross. Spent 3 nights here and the same soaking wet bath rug was in the showers and it smelt like mold. Also no paper towel in the toilets for the 3 nights I was here which tells me that they don’t clean often.

I loved the Breeze Lodge, very clean and good enviroment, people from many countries 👏 I totally recommend it

Had 2 nights here which was good enough for me, i realised that the location is a bit awkward with buses as the one that goes closest to the hostel runs like 1 every hour. The bridge that goes over to the river to the main city is about a 20 minute walk away. Room felt a bit cramped but it did have a private bathroom

Bit of a weird place, very strange vibe. But dorms were fine and the downstairs kitchen was good. Quite limited number of toilets.

Soggiorno davvero eccellente al Breeze Lodge. Gli spazi sono curati con attenzione e le camere super pulite, cosa che fa subito la differenza. Molto apprezzata anche la quantità di attività disponibili, perfette per socializzare o rilassarsi senza dover uscire. Great hostel, good atmosphere and friendliest staff and right by kangaroo point

Lovely hostel! It was very clean and inviting, staff were lovely when we had an issue with someone in our room they were in early to sort it out. It’s in a beautiful part of town with lovely walks nearby. The only leg down is the public transport wasn’t great with busses being cancelled or late but that’s nothing to do with the hostel. It was a quick walk back though or a speedy uber back from fortitude valley train station. Beautiful place and I will definitely stay again!!

Had the best time at Breeze during my travelling. Great location, clean place with cool vibe. Staff amazing,location is great.Highly recommend for travellers!

Really good

It’s only plus was its location close to the gabba but otherwise would not recommend. Very unsociable with lots of long term stay, older residents who were quite grumpy and rude

I like Breeze Lodge, it’s a good hostel. But the atmosphere can change throughout the days. Everything seems fine and the kitchen is good. It’s a good stay for a couple days.

Hostel had a good location and a lot of privacy in the rooms however the bathrooms and kitchen were pretty dirty and the atmosphere was not very social. It was relatively cheap, though!

Auberge un peu excentrée mais propre et tranquille. Située à côté de la rivière de Brisbane, il faut marcher une dizaine de minutes à peine pour sa balader sur les rives ce qui est sympa. Je recommande pour un séjour dans la River City !

Nice hostel but not very social as it’s full of long term stayers. Good to have an en suite in the dorm and curtains are good. Staff super helpful and kitchen works well :)

Rooms were clean. Girls 6-bed dorm room was a bit of a tight squeeze and there is only one bathroom/shower in the room but one was available in the hallway. A 15-minute walk to get anywhere but it was nice along the river.
