I loved my stay at kiooshtem. The hosts are lovely! There are lockers for your stuff and I felt really safe there. People were also really nice, so I would definitely recommend it!

Es un lugar acogedor, limpio y tiene lo necesario para visitar puerto natales, pero el dueño(hombre) tiene un comportamiento errático y con mucho lenguaje de odio a muchas cosas, cuando llegue fue áspero, tengo mucha paciencia por eso espere a que termine de hablar media hora sin sentidos, para por fin realizar el pago, a las finales solo me quedé una noche porque no reservé con tiempo una noche más, pero fue lo mejor para no tener que volver a escuchar al dueño. I really don’t get how this hostel has such a high rating. Do yourself a favor and pick a different hostel! Upon arrival and after I paid, the owner asked me if I had any questions. Well, let’s start with the location of my room maybe? Inside it was around 30 degrees celcius. And the facilities need an urgent upgrade. At some point the owner warned us that one shower only had cold water, blaming a guest for breaking it. No dude, blame your shower from the dark ages. Really. Don’t go here.

Ok zum Schlafen, aber überall Tierhaare, und eher schwierig zum finden, da kein Schild von aussen ersichtlich. Insgesamt war ich nur zum schlafen da und war ok, fühlte mich aber eher unwohl. Kann kalt werden, da Heizung ausschliesslich über Ofen in der Küche.

Pro: proximity to central bus station, owner gave helpful advice on how to visit Torres del Paine Park; Con: The bedroom was very dingy and I've seen cleaner bedding. The walls are thin and you hear everything in the hallway or, if you are in the room adjacent to the bathroom ... The owner Nelson is scruffy and can't talk calmly. He continued screaming even when I asked him to turn it down. He wouldn't let me use the locker for another 90 minutes after checkout even though the room was empty.

This is not a hostel, this is someone’s house (small, dirty, old, broken) who’s trying rent out rooms. Please don’t be fooled by the score here in HW, and do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

I am surprised this hostel is rated so highly. It feels a bit cramped and cleanliness was not good. The bathrooms and kitchen just didn't feel very hygienic, it wasn't what I expected. However, the hosts, Tania and Nelson, are lovely and helpful and they have a very cute dog in the house. I would probably choose somewhere else if I was staying again.

Cosy and warm vibe. Facilities weren’t great e.g. cooker and shower (took ages to warm up), locks on bathrooms very temperamental. Staff were lovely and helpful and location very good

Great staff and equipment rentals at cheap prices, not the cleanest with lots of pets and cigarette smells throughout

I had a great time at the hostel and came back. The owners are quite talkative and friendly/familiar if you like it,and available on demand with a ring. the common area can be a bit busy as it does not allow too many people cooking/eating at the table at the same time, but it's a quite friendly atmosphere and the sofa/living room that is close by encourages interactions. You may need to ask in order to have warm enough water for the shower. The top beds are not easy to access.

The owner was super nice. It's a small hostel so everything feels more like a "normal" home.

all the things u need, it has really cosy and warm atmosphere, and a nice perrito who make u company. the bed is really clean, and this is not obvious

We stayed with a group of six people for a few nights and we had a great time. The hostel is small and cozy and we felt like we were part of the family a little bit. The big oven heats up the whole place and there is a cozy kitchen to cook and hang out! The beds are being freshly made and are really warm and soft even when it gets cold at night. Thank you for the great stay!

I had a nice time there, it was a chill and familiar place to meet people, small kitchen brings you together and some sofa in the common area. I appreciated the availability of some useful mountain equipment for rent, also the presence of a nice dog and cats and the chats with the owners.

I appreciated the homey atmosphere of this hostel and the well stocked kitchen (with actually sharp knives!). The rooms were basic but did the trick. The host family/staff were friendly and accommodating. The small size of the hostel made chatting with other guests in the main area very easy. My main critique is that the place smelled like cats, especially towards the back of the house. As mentioned in previous reviews, probably not the best place to stay if you have animal allergies!

Super friendly hosts. Close to bus station and downtown. Well-equipped kitchen. Fairly clean. Only downside was that the dorms were very cold. We stayed in 2 different rooms and both had to Sleep with a fair amount of clothes on.

Homy feeling, hosts are very welcoming and helpful with planning trips to the park. Good location close to the center and the bus station. Hostel is really warm, they have warm water and good kitchen area.

The owner was incredibly helpful with recommendations for the area, letting me borrow extra electronic cables and just a good guy for regular chatting. The whole common area is accessible with a key-card. Lockers are big, but bring your own lock. The common area was quite warm.

Très bon rapport qualité prix! Propriétaire sympathique, de petites attentions. Ambiance conviviale je vous recommande ce lieu si vous souhaitez rencontrer des gens. Il y a le chien de la famille dans l’auberge, Chollo. Il est très gentil, cependant si vous êtes allergique aux chiens ou au chats je vous conseille de choisir un autre lieu. Très proche de la gare des bus, cela était très pratique !

It was my second stay at Kiooshtem (2023+2026)! Its a small Hostel but the vibe is great. Nelson and his wife are lovely. Its really close to the busstation and I could leave my bags there for the W-Trek! Great Kitchen and rooms. I would definitely go back for a third time!

Very nice hostel. What I especially liked is the well equiped kitchen. For instance, they have sharp knives, at lot of pots and pans and spices that you can use.

Nice hostel. Good central location, comfy and cosy beds and really well equipped kitchen. Dogs and cats roaming around so I wouldn’t recommend if you aren’t an animal lover. Slight smell of smoke throughout the property - apart from that was all good. Thanks!

The staff were friendly to me and did a great job keeping everything clean. This is more like staying in a shared dorm in someone’s house than a standard hostel, but that can be fun if you know what to expect. One of the oddities was how strict the host was for some rules. I heard him tell several people they couldn’t check in early, which is fine, but also that they couldn’t hang out until check-in, even though there was plenty of room on the couches.
