Guaya Hostel

Horrible chemical smell and Air con not working the first night, second night rain was coming in thru ceiling window that can't be closed, shower dirty with moldy curtain, sheets old and stained with blood spots (ie previously they had bedbugs), OWNER (FEMALE) CAME IN AND OUT OF ROOM MANY TIMES AT OR AFTER 10PM AND USES FEMALE DORM BATHROOM RATHER THAN FEMALE COMMON BATHROOM. Insisted on putting extra sheets in a locker that had another person's belongings. Very very strange. Dorm doors are left open all day. DOG WILL STEAL FOOD OFF OF ALL SURFACES, INCLUDING KITCHEN TABLE.

BEDBUGS I stayed here a couple of nights ago (dec 2022) and in the middle of the night bedbugs were discovered in the dorm, in at least 4 of the 12 beds. The hostel owner is nice and the hostel is in a good location (close to the ADO busstation). Under other circumstances I would recommend the hostel, but at present they need to properly take care of the bedbugs ( which takes days!!) before letting people in the dorm again. Please check if the bedbug outbreak is under control before staying!

Bedbugs, bedbugs, bedbugs. One for everyone I found in my bed. Was going to stay 4 nights but on first night 13:30 was awoken by some girls who had found bedbugs in their beds. I looked and also found them. Spent the rest of the night in the garden and left the next morning as did most of the hostel
