Old Town Hostel

Don’t be fooled by the 9.3 rating, this hostel clearly paid for reviews. It’s dirty, unsafe, the front door is always open, and room doors don’t lock. Luggage is left unsupervised. No atmosphere at all. Common areas are sad and tiny. The kitchen is filthy, and the “breakfast” looks untouched and possibly spoiled. Only good thing: the bed was comfy and the location great. But it’s not worth it. If you’re not prepared for what you’ll find, you’ll end up genuinely disappointed.

This is definitely not a 9 star hostel. It’s very run down and dirty. The showers don’t drain. The front door literally doesn’t even close, let alone lock at night. And there is zero security or front desk person overnight. The advertised “activities” and breakfast are a complete joke. The owner told us they haven’t really done the activities since pre-covid. The only redeeming quality is it’s location

The only good thing about this place is the location.But it is not worth the price.You can fine much cheaper stay options nearby.The room itself is a hot box with the fan blowing hot air. and there are not many amenities provided.

Dishonest business. We were told that they were a cash only facility the day of check in. The woman at the front desk was not at all empathetic and flat out lied about their policy, which we discovered when returning to the hostel the same night to see other guests paying for their stays using cards. On top of that there was no AC in the rooms and the shower was moldy and had very limited hot water. Only real perk is the location. Consider other options.

The hostel had the perfect location and was clean. However, security was questionable as the front door to the hostel is left unlocked at all times and nowhere secure to leave your bags after checkout. The rooms had no air conditioning and it made it incredibly difficult to sleep and get comfortable, especially at the height of summer. For the price I was charged to stay for one night was not worth it.

À côté d'un restaurant, si tu veux sortir jusqu'à 3h ça va, mais aussi non musique et crie jusqu'à minimum 2h du matin. Aucun air climatisé, très chaud !

BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL! They barely give you a wash cloth. For the cost of this hostel I would expect something bigger enough to dry my entire body. Also for the price, I think the service and reception was dismal at best. They were friendly when around, but I only saw them once on my entire trip. Many people had to just leave their bags in the lobby midday because there was no reception available to get checked-in. The location of course is phenomenal but I would find something cheaper next time.

Um hostel caríssimo (o mais caro que já fiquei na vida) sem ar condicionado, deveriam escrever isso mais claro na descrição. Roubaram comida minha na cozinha e nao tem câmera. O chuveiro estava quebrado, quase não saía água e quando saía era gelada. O hostel inteiro é muito quente e com ventilação muito ruim. Pouquíssimos banheiros (um por andar) e não tem elevador. Café da manhã é cereal e chá. Única coisa boa é a localização

THE WORST. I’ve stayed in hostels over the last 10 years and I’ve never had a more miserable stay. NO A/C. They put me in the attic as they made an error with my reservation and overbooked. Told me it would actually be “better” up there because it has a portable A/C, the thing hardly worked. No exaggeration, it was 30 degrees in the room at night, MUCH cooler outside. Een heel goed hostel. Aardig personeel, schone kamers en faciliteiten. Het enige dat ik miste waren de sociale interacties met andere hostelgasten. Geen activiteiten en de woonkamer wordt nooit gebruikt

The owner Michael was super nice and welcoming! I felt super safe.

Everything was good, especially the position and possibility of leaving luggage. Would definitely recommend for a short stay

The owner Michael was amazing, super helpful with any requests and questions I may have had, and was really friendly and welcoming, always greeting myself and every other guest with a smile! Hostel is really well located and clean with great facilities and met some rlly nice people, definitely recommend :)

This hostel was amazing. I did a 4-person women’s dorm, and the people were incredible. Michael at the front desk was so helpful and clearly loved Dubrovnik. The property was so clean and in the PERFECT location, and my check in was easy despite being at 11pm. S complaints are: tiny bathrooms shared among many rooms (often had a queue), and no big central meeting place. I made friends in my room, but the hostel layout didn’t foster social connections, and wasn’t super community focused.

Nice stay, a bit expensive but comfortable and clean.

Perfect location. Very clean. Friendly staff. On the more expensive side of hostelling but well worth it for this location

Amazing facilities and location! Staff was very helpful and I loved the high ceilings in the rooms.

Great location, accomodating front desk staff abd clean amenities.

Such a beautiful building, nice architecture and cosy vibe. Staff were so incredibly kind and warm. Bathroom facilities were decent and small kitchen provided what we needed during our stay. Only thing I struggled with is that there were a few nights the restaurant outside the dorm window where people were quite loud at night but wasn't terrible.
