Central Market Hall Zen Hostel

I had a very bad experience in this hostel, so their policy was clear, they didn't want anybody to go with their shoes into the rooms, so as everybody I left my brand new Nikes on the shoes stand where everybody did, and they were stolen, I've talked to the receptionist about it who was actually very nice but she couldn't help so I requested to talk to her boss who was so rude, and instead of trying to help he said he can't do anything and that I had to put my shoes in the locker (against the hostel policy), I also requested to see the camera footage, and the main door camera was not working, and they also didnt have any camera watching the shoes stand, which is really weird when you ask people to put their shoes there. Another thing is I believe their matresses have bed bugs, and I ve been bitten by so many during my stay, the pictures are here to witness.

There were bedbugs on my bed and the other guests in the room weren’t moved. The staff is super nice but the hostel owner handles the bedbug situation very poorly…

Bed bugs, and staff who showed little concern about it. While upon arrival we were happy, shortly after getting into bed, my friend noticed some bites on his chest. Upon further inspection there was a bed bug larvae with blood beside me, and then a bed bug on my bag, and another on the bed. There was also review from 2 days before stating the same issue. This was clearly not remedied, they said it was in another room. This probably just shows they have a wider infestation. My friend and I then spent form 1 to 6 am getting to a laundromat to clean and dry are clothes. The staff in the morning offered little apologies, and did not offer a refund. Once we asked, they even had the gall to ask if 50% was ok, even though we spent nearly 30 euros to clean are clothes as well. We were there until 15:00 waiting and saw no indication of fumigation or moving guest to other rooms. Stay at your own risk.

INFESTED WITH BEDBUGS!! Do not go there. I was sleeping in the female dorm and i saw a bedbug on my bed after one night, staff nicely reimbursed me and washed my clothes but they didn’t move anyone from the infested room! To make it worse, i found a reddit post from a few days later stating they got booked in that same room and had bites everywhere. Don’t walk, RUN AWAY from this hostel! The owners do not care if you have bedbugs

-We didn't get the exact room we ordered. It should have been another place and location, closer to the center. - the room wasn't clean -smelly bedsheets -broken fan (for summer it's horrible experience) -BEDBUGS (they were everywhere biting me and my friends that one person got allergy and not being able to sleep, I'm deeply sad 😔 as there was no help from reception at all. We haven't slept all night as those bugs were all around the room!) After we requested a solution, none was provided as they had no free rooms and addressed to look for something at 3 a.m. in the morning! They returned us money in the morning but only under the conditions of canceling this booking so we can't leave the comments, I personally saw other guest having a bite marks on their legs and arms. They knew the problem but didn't solve it. We spent all night sitting on chairs and waiting for manager to come at 9 a.m. to apologize as is they had no idea of the problem... P.S. I have videos from the property showing their room and proofs of bugs and swollen arms and legs.

We were told to go to their second building which there was no information about when we booked the hostel and it was 10min walk. We stayed there for a couple of nights, and on the second night we noticed bedbugs- a lot of them and in all three of our beds. I have now been in contact with the hostel about getting money back, and they said that we would get compensation. Now they are not answering my messages and i have still not gotten any money back- it has been over a month and a half. :(((

I want to congratulate the guy who photoshopped the hostels photos. He made it extremely good. In my first day, ‘There was a hostel in liked, after stay here I go there’… I checked my Booking account and the hostel was it. OMG!!!! I realized that all photos are professionally photoshopped. Also, I figured out they have 2 branches. Most of the photos must be from another building because I haven’t seen in the hostel those kind of beds. ZEN is not that. These guys frauding us by putting everything old and telling us it is ZEN. What the f?!!! EVERYTHING IS OLD. Kitchen is nightmare. Pans and pots need to be changed but no one cares about it. They have many mugs. Very small kitchen. When 2 of you want to cook at the same time, you are dead! I had to cook 3 times in disgusting pans. I stayed 7 nights. Everyday I got bite but I thought it was mosquitos. Mosquitos are alright. On my last night I realized they were bedbugs. I killed like 10 of them and 5 of mosquitoes. At night, I sent WhatsApp message to manager. In the morning she replied, ‘So sorry, we will clean it’s… They wanted to refund me 10 Euros. I said you should refund me fully, in the end they refunded 20 Euros. I said FUCK it. I got 20 Euros. I was happy that I was leaving there. There is no stay for relaxing. They have only one small room with 3 couches, 1 table and 2 chairs. Even waiting guests are putting their bags in that room. Sheets and Pillows are disasters. Sheets are too old. No one can call those things as pillows. Staff is the only thing in the hostel. They are super amazing.

La cocina tenía cucarachas y las camas tenían chinches. Un asco el lugar, tuvimos que lavar urgente toda la ropa cuando nos fuimos del hostel. Nos encontramos chinches en la ropa. Nos avisaron la primer noche que habían fumigado, pero por la experiencia que vivimos creemos que fue mentira

Mudaram eu de prédio há uns 5 minutos do local e lá na cama fui atacado por percevejos estou todo picado tive que gastar com médico e medicamento

I'm sorry but when you're faced with three nights of bed bugs and you need to take antihistamine for a week to deal with the discomfort and throw away all your clothes so you don't take these bugs around the world, you can't see the other good things. Please, close the structure and organize a disinfestation!!

During my stay, there was a serious problem of bedbugs present throughout the hostel. Several people, including me, were quite heavily bitten. The staff tried to solve the problem, however it was not effective. It is worth making sure before arrival that the problem has been finally solved.

uh i saw a bug that looked like a bed bug… also there is not enough showers. some bathroom showers r nice and good and some were a bit… not so nice
