be careful!! rooms with bed bugs!!. when consulting them they try to deny the issue, unhappy and very disappinted with the service unfortunately. stays a very good location.

Picked up some bed bug bites.

I think it is hit or miss depending on the people who you happen to be grouped with. I was in a 10 person female dorm and they don’t really regulate the dorm rules there, so my last night there was someone who left a lot of food and drinks laying around and I woke up with a lot of bug bites.. The room itself for 10 females is pretty cramped and has little room for navigating your luggage/things, but I did like the individual lockers. Big enough to fit your carryon. There’s also very little air ventilation and circulation in the room. The bed is comfortable and there is a nice nightlight you can use. A nice addition would be curtains for privacy. I do like that they host community events and the front desk staff was always helpful to answer any questions. Restrooms seem to get cleaned once a day which might not be often enough considering you share two shower stalls on one floor with about 30-40 other people. The men’s restroom always seemed cleaner than the girl’s restroom though. Location is probably the best part about this hostel since it is right next to Passeig de Gràcia and a pretty safe location.

They dont care about covid safety... Last week a group of italians and portuguese guests, working at sonar festival, were in quarantine inside the hostel, as a closest member from the group (the girfriend of their boss) had covid. They were hanging around in the kitchen without masks nor respecting social distance. After they secretly told me that, i complained to reception, but the receptionist decided to take me away from the hostel (without giving me any reason) instead of taking some action against the quarantined group. The group still in the hostel and they were angry with me after I complained about it to the receptionist. I think they must proritize public health instead of money, especially taking in account that many vulnerable people (I am diabetic) had already died from covid. Other bad experiences to add: 1 the beds were very uncomfortable, 2 some of the rooms had bed bugs as i got bites in my body. Later, i have read in other reviews from other guests, that bed bugs are a frequent and common complain to this hostel (you can check It online). 3 some people working at night had some aggressive behaviour towards guests. 4 sometimes you get locked in the hostel or you are not able to enter as nobody is in reception and they lock the entrance door. 5 the receptionist ask guests to write good reviews in hostelworld or Booking, before to invite them to make new reservations trought their homepage (for that reason, you can find so many good reviews on those online booking services) The overall experience had ruined my holidays. By the other hand, most of the workers were lovely people but It seems they cannot take desitions regarding covid safety or other issues. I also met a lot of lovely people who are now my friends.

Probablemente el peor hostel que he estado de muchos que he ido. Confie en las evaluaciones pero evidentemente o son de gente muy joven o gente que termina borracha como para no darse cuenta lo que yo experimente. Me fue imposible dormir ruidos realmente descabellados que si bien entiendo algunos se van de fiesta pero los moderadores del hostel deberian advertir estos tenas de ruidos realmente molestos gritos meadas en los baños etc. Imposible dormir. Las camas un ruido impresionante las camas de arriba per todavia. Y para colmo los famosos bed bugs. Tambien demasiada calefaccion y un olor horrendo a perfume de ambiente. Todo eso hizo que volviera a vestir y salir a caminar a las 4 am que era mejor que estar ahi adentro. Tambien olvide recalcar que no se para que te piden online cuando haces la reserva que hora llegas al checkin si despues te demoran. Ahora lo unico positivo que debo destacar es la decoración me parecio excelente. Las salas de relax la de internet y la del bar muy buenas. Pero desafortunadamente lo mas importante es lo peor que tienen asi que jamas volveria a pisar este hostel.
