Had hoge verwachtingen van dit hostel maar het wordt vooral gerund door volunteers. Daardoor lijkt het vol en gezellig maar ze zijn vooral met elkaar bezig. De locatie ligt ver van het stapgedeelte en het strand en viel mij daarom tegen. Als je echt van een alternatieve vrije hostel ervaring houdt. Dan zit je hier wel meer op je plek, want de mensen zijn verder wel lief.
Had high expectations of this hostel but it is mainly run by volunteers. This makes it look full and friendly but they are mostly busy with each other. The location is far from the strip and the beach and therefore offended me. If you really like an alternative free hostel experience. Then you will be sitting here more on your place, because the people are also nice.
Loud music after 4AM. I had earplugs in and I had a private room. I still couldn't sleep. The posted "quiet time" should be respected. Plugged showerhead, Not enough lightbulbs for all the lights. I went to stay somewhere else for a few nights. I came back on my scheduled check-out date to return the key and retrieve a pair of expensive shorts I left in the room. The short were missing... That means someone was in the room in my absence. This is not a trustworthy or peaceful place. Cheers :)
Unfortunately our stay here was not as expected. The pool area is lovely and it’s a super clean pool. Puerto Escondito is extremely humid at this time of year and this hostel had no A/C as advertised in fairness but the fans just did nothing. There was no relief from the stifling heat. Additionally we booked out entire rooms as friends and they put the girls in a room which was adjoined by a male member of staff in the dorm. We left early and received no refund - fair enough but just an FYI.
Eventhough my dormroom was really big (6persons mixed) it was very damp, the bathroom had mold and the showercurtain as well had mold on it. I get that it's hot and humid in PE but they should.put more effort in keeping the rooms at least mold free. There is literally no lock in the door, there is a small locker where you can store your valuables. For me it just didn't click
No aircon and bed fans were really weak. Far too hot for poor fans!
I had a private room, which turned out to be a room with the bathroom in it, just separated by a curtain, so the room was very humid. The bathroom area included windows that were semi see-through on a major part of the wall. The door to the room, near the bathroom, was just shielded by a almost see-through curtain. There was no air-con, which in that part of Puerto is a must, as there's no sea breeze. I'd come to surf and the hostel is an expensive (for Mexico) taxi ride from the surf beaches...
The place was filled with mosquitoes!! A good few people including myself got bitten so much it was crazy, I know it’s a good season for them but there was no nets, no proper window or anything to stop them coming in, there was literally hundreds from the dorm, communal shower just everywhere. The bathroom door was so tricky to shut and open, always made a loud noise waking me up constantly. People in the room was just come in quite loud at all times, the curtains in the room were thin and hun...
Sinceramente, fue una experiencia bastante decepcionante. Aunque algunas personas del personal fueron amables y acogedoras, algunos voluntarios fueron desagradables: no saludaban y no se ocupaban adecuadamente del hostel. La cocina estaba en muy mal estado. Aunque una señora mayor pasaba a limpiarla, había un gran grupo de chicos que cocinaban y dejaban todos los trastes sucios. En varias ocasiones tuve que limpiar yo misma mientras ellos solo me miraban hacerlo.
Although some of the staff were friendly and welcoming, some of the volunteers were unpleasant: they were not healthy and did not take care of the hostel properly. the kitchen was in very bad condition. although an elderly lady would come by to clean it, there was a large group of guys who cooked and left all the dirty trash. on several occasions I had to clean myself while they just looked at me doing it.

Das Hotel an sich war ziemlich angenehm, man hat sich jedoch nicht so willkommen dort da gefühlt. Das personal, speziell eine junge Dame am Empfang war mehr als unfreundlich und inkompetent. Der Hostelbetreiber hat uns aber sehr freundlich beraten können, sonst wären wir wahrscheinlich nicht länger dort geblieben. Alles in allem ein ordentliches Hostel mit leider nicht so freundlichen Personal! Die anderen Gäste waren auch eher abwertend/ablehnend uns gegenüber was schade war.
The hotel itself was quite pleasant, but you didn't feel so welcome there. the staff, especially a young lady at the reception was more than unfriendly and incompetent. the hostel operator could give us very friendly advice, however, otherwise we probably wouldn't have stayed there any longer. all in all a decent hostel with a leader not so friendly staff! the other guests were also rather dismissive towards us as it was a damage to war.

Wonderful hostel, looks small, but has spacious rooms, kitchen, breakfast room, pool, common rest areas. i stayed in a private room and had everything i needed. the staff is also friendly and is attentive to make sure you have everything covered and support you with recommendations to discover Puerto. they do activities so that people can interact and connect. the location is convenient for the airport or market, but for the beaches it is secluded (20min walking).

Tower bridge exceeded my expectations! the pool and common areas are absolutely gorgeous, breakfast is so good (this one is a proper breakfast and not just a toast with jam as I’ve had in other places). Staff is sooo friendly, I’ll definitely come back as soon as I have the chance!!!
My friend and I have stayed at different hostels and this one’s absolutely amazing! Breakfast is so good and their coconut beer is delicious. Facilities are spotless and their pool is stunning! Staff is so friendly and most beaches are just a couple of minutes away (also their Sunday party was one of the best I experienced in Puerto Escondido!) 10/10
Great stay! Wonderful amenities and the room was lovely. They had two fans in my room to make up for the lack of AC and it was perfect
I absolutely had an amazing stay! The volunteers are amazing and make you feel so welcome, it's a really social hostel. the pool area is also so relaxing especially in tthe morning with the best breakfast I ever had in a hostel. Can 100%recomend, especially for solo travelers!! thank you
What a lovely place with genuine staff. Lots of fun and great people. I had my wallet and cards robbed and the owner gladly let me have my new ones delivered here whilst I travelled elsewhere. Would highly recommend.
Amazing experience at Tower Bridge, everything was great! A special mention to Maria, the volunteer, and Mario from maintenance, both very kind and helpful. Overall, the staff were incredibly welcoming, which made me feel really comfortable, and everything was very clean and well maintained. Totally recommend it!
We really liked this hostel! Brilliant pool and free breakfast. 20mins walk to the recommended beach in P.E. We enjoyed the volunteering dog walks at the local shelter offered too! Only downside was that the water didn’t always work in our bathroom and the room was pretty hot at night.

Such a fun, beautiful and well organized place. The staff are all genuinely nice and helpful people. I’ve never stayed at a better hostel. Que lugar tan encantador, divertido y bien organizado. Todos los que trabajan allí son súper buena onda y muy puestos para ayudar con cualquier asunto. Es el mejor hostal en el que me he quedado.
We stayed in the private tower room of the hostel which was incredible (also for the price they asked!). The whole place is so beautifully designed, the pool is incredibly refreshing and nice, and they provide all these nice little things, such as the prettiest route to walk to the closest beach. Can really recommend!
Super Hostel, sind 2 Tage länger geblieben weil es uns so gut gefallen hat. Sehr soziale Volunteers und allgemein freundliches Personal. Bestes Frühstück auf unserem gesamten Trip. Sehr schönes Ambiente mit Pool! Würden jeder Zeit wieder herkommen
Super Hostel, we stayed 2 days longer because we liked it so much. Very social Volunteers and generally friendly Staff. Bestes Breakfast on our entire Trip. Very nice Ambience with Pool! Would come back anytime

I had an amazing time at Tower Bridge Hostel. They have their own coconut beer and is absolutely delicious. Everything was honestly a 10/10. The breakfast is amazing, the facilities are always clean and the staff and volunteers are always kind, helpful, and smiling. It’s also a very social place where it’s really easy to make friends. Special thanks to Dani, Noa and Hanaë, they were the best, always helping me with everything and by the end they felt like family.

Really social hostel! What of fun and if you are traveling as a solo traveler is the best place! Noa and Maria are really kind, smiling all the time and ready to help you with info any time! The breakfast was really good as well!
