La atmosfera es muy rara, es como la casa de los voluntarios. La ubicacion es muy mala y los servicios son nada para lo que sale.
Jose (staff member) was very helpful, however the facilities were not as advertised and the owner was less forthcoming than one would hope. The facilities didn’t have the basic necessities (hot water or shower gel etc). After a one night stay my time there was up. I sincerely hope the owner reads this and makes the requisite changes.
arrived here to a locked door and watched multiple guests just walk past us and not even acknowledge us. Walked in and saw at least 3 people with manbuns so knew it was gonna be a rough one. The bathrooms had no soap in, the showers had the weakest pressure I've ever seen and there was no hot water. When I mentioned this the staff member said we can fix all of this. But why wasn't it fixed before for the other guests?. The photos make the place way nicer. They also charged us against our consent
The staff is super nice and the house has a lot of potential but the place is so dirty. The kitchen is gross, there are so many fruit flies, the fridge really needs to be deep cleaned. There is no hot water for the shower and sometimes no water at all. The beds were really comfortable and a fan was provided.
Casona H has a lovely garden and is a very budget friendly - I don't think I'd recommend staying here if you do have a more flexible budget. The location doesn't feel very safe and is far away from most things. I also had a really hot room - there was one fan on the roof that only felt cool if you sat directly under it. Otherwise I was sweating if I was just moving around my room. I also thought the wifi wasn't strong in the common areas and didn't extend to my room, so I had to book a coworkin...
The person who greeted us was friendly and the private bedroom was big and came with portable AC which was useful because the ceiling fan was very weak. Unfortunately the kitchen wasn’t clean, especially the fridge. It was packed so full there was hardly any space inside, and some of the food was old and mouldy. We didn’t really want to cook in the kitchen because of this. We couldn’t find any knives or forks It was also difficult to know who actually worked at the hostel and who wa...
Hostel itself is fairly nice, with good hammocks and social area (but without the social vibe). It seemed to only be run by volunteers, only one of which seemed to know what they were doing - and none of them were particularly friendly or welcoming. One of them was quite rude. Every night the water would stop working which meant no flushing toilets or taps to wash hands until around 8am. The location is also weird, thought we were being scammed when we got there as it’s down a lane and no sign
staff was very friendly, clean spaces and comfortable bed but not a hostel vibe at all. Even tho the hostel was full I didn't really get to know the people there, only the girl on the same bunk bed.

The staff is friendly ! the establishment is clean as well the bedrooms as the bathrooms ! the portal is cool code for security ! too bad the location is really interesting if you want a minimum of atmosphere and activity ..
this hostel is fine. the location isn’t great though, it’s far from most things and the area doesn’t feel the safest. the rooms are way too hot at night and my bed originally had ants in it so i had to move beds. it’s a chill atmosphere which is nice but makes it a little difficult to socialise

Une auberge où l'on se sent comme à la maison !! Un véritable havre de paix, cet hostel a tout pour lui : des manguiers qui lui procurent de l'ombre et des fruits, des chats pour la dose quotidienne de câlins, des hôtes absolument adorables qui connaissent tous les bons plans de la ville et qui sont toujours disponibles pour discuter !! Comme beaucoup nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour là-bas, allez-y les yeux fermés !
A true haven of peace, this hostel has it all: mango trees that provide shade and fruit, cats for the daily dose of hugs, absolutely adorable hosts who know all the good plans of the city and are always available to discuss !! like many we had a wonderful stay there, go there with your eyes closed !

Very sweet small property close to the airport. Not very close to much particularly in the evening - if you want to party this isn’t the place. Very few tourists, we had great food locally at very reasonable prices. Staff were absolutely gorgeous and it is very pretty there. Great value for money with free water and coffee, towels etc. I wouldn’t recommend for a long stay but for a short stop over it’s perfect. Thank you La Casona!
Personnel très accueillant et à l’écoute, l’auberge est très calme ce qui fait du bien pour se reposer, il y a également des chats qui sont très mignons !

Nice hostel, just a bit of a walk away from the beach and most places, would be easier if you rent a scooter. The private room is lovely and the ac gets very cold. Lots of reviews mention the lack of hot water but it’s really not that bad and with the weather it’s honestly refreshing. Good cheap hostel, worth the price!
Great place to stay. Really good value, very clean, lots of hammocks & lovely staff. Walkable to the best beaches in Puerto, and they offer cheap moped rental. Would 100% recommend this place.

La Casina Hostel Es un lugar hermoso, sus plantas, la salida de estar llena de hamacas, 3 gatitos divinos. Su cocina es amplia. Nos quedamos en una habitación privada, hermosa, el ambiente, y está bien amoblada. Nos gustó mucho, ¡volveríamos! Lo único es que en el Hostel no te provoca ningún toallas, solo como recomendación :) par que lleven la de ustedes.
La Casina Hostel It is a beautiful place, its plants, the living room exit full of hammocks, 3 divine kittens. Its kitchen is spacious. We stayed in a private room, beautiful, the atmosphere, and it is well furnished. We liked it very much, we would return! The only thing is that in the Hostel you do not get any towels, just as a recommendation :) so that you take yours.
Lovely family run hostel, amazing day trips and they also have bikes to hire. The volunteers there were great fun and made my partner and I feel so welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Massive shout out to Jose and the owners all amazing ❤️
This hostel had a great atmosphere that really captured the local flavor. The staff were all friendly and had a cheerful vibe. It was really helpful that they spoke both Spanish and English. This was the best hostel I stayed at during my trip.
excelente lugar, muy hermoso, súper amplio y abierto, con mucha naturaleza, la gente super amable y respetuosa, si tenés el placer de cruzarte a José, se tira los mejores pasos, pedile que te asesore dónde ir a bailar.
Excellent location, very beautiful, super spacious and open, with lots of nature, the people super friendly and respectful, if you have the pleasure of crossing José, he takes the best steps, ask him to advise you where to go to dance.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Schöne Zimmer, entspannte Möglichkeiten, um in Hängematten etc. etwas zu chillen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, vor allem Juan - bester Mann! Küche war allerdings ziemlich dreckig und müsste häufiger gereinigt werden. Die Distanzen zu den Stränden sind auch etwas lang - circa 25 Minuten zu Fuß.
Very pleasant stay. nice rooms, relaxed possibilities, to chill in Hängematten etc. the staff is very friendly, especially Juan - best Mann! the kitchen was however pretty dirty and needed to be cleaned more often. the distances to the beaches are also a bit long - about 25 minutes walk.
I enjoyed my time here a lot and actually stayed two weeks even though i originally planned three days. Julia and her mother are amazing. the hostel, the garden and the rooftop are very beautiful and well kept. everything felt clean and I enjoyed to cook in the kitchen (which can’t be said about a lot of hostel kitchens ;)). The vibe is very chill and quite some people stay for longer than 2 days.Supermarkets and a big vegetable/fruit market are close by as well as nice, not overcrowded beache...
La Casona es el lugar ideal para quedarse en Puerto Escondido. ¿Por qué? Simple: ubicado cerca de la playa Carrizalillo, restaurantes, mercado con muchas verduras y frutas, parada de camionetas para ir a otras playas (cuestan 12 pesos). Además es un lugar tranquilo y seguro, y con muchos árboles, rooftop, buen wifi, limpio, personal flexible y muy amable. También ofrecen experiencias descontadas como avistamiento de ballenas, renta de motos, etc. súper recomiendo, gracias chicas!! Éxitos ...
La Casona is the ideal place to stay in Puerto Escondido. ¿Por qué? Simple: located near the beach Carrizalillo, restaurants, market with lots of vegetables and fruits, pickup stop to go to other beaches (cost 12 pesos). Besides it is a quiet and safe place, and with lots of trees, rooftop, buen wifi, clean, flexible and very friendly staff. They also offer discounted experiences like whale watching, rental of motorbikes, etc. super recommend, gracias chicas!! Éxitos siempre
