Eco Hostal Yuluka

DO NOT EAT THE FOOD THERE it gave me the worst food poisoning of my life!! Also after they saw me throwing up the whole time they still made me pay for the food that poisoned me which i think is just not right. Also the air con is broken and the whole room was warm and wet which did not help me being sick at all

We really didn’t like our stay. We slept in a dorm and there where mice everywhere. They were walking on the ceiling, there was mice poop on the beds (it fell down repeatedly) and the included breakfast was not special at all. One girl left her luggage in the luggage room and got it back with a hole in it (also because of the mice). We didn’t sleep at all because you could hear them all night long 😞 by the way the hostel knows about this problem but apparently doesn’t want to solve it? ...

Friendly staff and alright resto but the room we stayed in was terrible, I barely slept. Right beside a huge, loud TV and bright lights that stay on all night. Clean sheets but dust on the bedposts, no ceiling on the bathroom so you hear everything and the light affects the whole room. Also my friend tried to take two nights off her booking (more than 24 hrs in advance), the hostel refused to comply with the Hostel World cancellation policy and she lost the full amount for both nights.

The hostels booking system didn’t work so we spent half an hour arguing the point that we had actually booked two beds. Mice got into our bags when we left them in the store room. There were mice in the ceiling above the dorm room and part of the ceiling in the dorm fell down in the night which left mice running around the room. This property was a complete let down. I had read many enthusiastic reviews online and was so excited to come. Our room had extreme issues with electricity, the lights flickered nonstop and charging your phone would increase this issue. During our stay I talked to the staff about fixing this issue which they did work on, but to no success. Further, when we left them the key to the room to work on it, they left the door unlocked for the remainder of the day, which is completely unacceptable. Th�...

Booked a private room after doing the lost city trek for two beds, as we just wanted to rest. Absolutely nothing seemed to work here, we had AC, but there was so many holes in the walls and windows that it barely kept the room cold. We also had to pull the second bed out from underneath the double bed and use up all of the floor space in the room. The staff did eventually help, but constantly seemed to be sorting something else out and barely paid any attention to any queries we had. The restaur...

Restaurant very expensive!! Luckily there a cheap and good one across the road. Not a proper backpackers and lots of families with kids staying there as well.

Lovely hostel with a swimming pool and restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff! Great location a stones throw away from Tayrona national park. Easy to get to on local bus.

Staff is very helpful. The beds in the dorms were beyond uncomfortable however because they dented in completely and were covered in thick plastic. Kitchen is very basic. There was AC in the room and also there are washing machines that you can use freely which is great!

Can’t recommend this hostel enough had such a great time here and they have some the nicest most welcoming staff I’ve ever met

Absolutely loved this place! Staff were amazing and so helpful!! It was my friends birthday and they helped make it amazing! Also is a free shuttle to the entrance of the park!

Super gorgeous emmersed with nature hostel. Peaceful, quiet, chill. Hoping around on the coast can be tiring and with all the activity and parties this was a good location just to chill and relax. convenient location near the park, nearby waterfalls, etc. definitely recommend

It was maybe not the most luxurious hostel/social but we where there with a group and was really good. Next to the park and Intresting to see how the owner build this place over 25 years

Super friendly staff, Food was good. Really close to Tayrona Park and they have a shuttle to the entrance for free.

Great experience at Yuluka hostel! The staff is extremely kind and available to help you. I booked a spa-massage property and it was great. You can easily go to the mendihuaca river and poza encantada from there, two beautiful hikes and tayrona locations. Only thing to improve is the kitchen, the breakfast could be a bit more rich, with better ingredients and in general portions should be more generous. But many thanks!

Yuluka felt like a little paradise in the Tayrona Park region. The grounds were lovely and well kept, and our room was charming with its stone bathroom and private deck with a hammock. The pool helped us cool off in the humidity, and we had fun on the slide. We also booked a massage one morning - the peaceful atmosphere and care from the masseuse rejuvenated us. Food was tasty and the staff were very friendly. Just bring bug spray - we got several bites around dusk when we checked in!

Lovely hostel, great location super close to Zaino entrance to Tayrona park with nice pool and rooms, nearly faultless other than a few minor issues , firstly the air con was broken for 2 days and only fixed after us prompting, secondly we had a LOT of bugs in our room- worms and cockroaches- we appreciate this is the jungle but due to the material it is made of (bricks with gaps), they seem to creep in which made it feel a bit unclean. Otherwise loved this place and would definitely recommend:)

Really loved this hostel- staff beyond friendly and helpful. Free breakfast and shuttle to park, as well as luggage storage when we spent the night in the park. Not far to walk back from after the park. Would really recommend

Super nice hostel! The rooms were clean and spacious. Nice breakfast options and hang out spots. Staff were also really helpful!

Big and Nice hostel with everything you need. Very good breakfast, nice and helpful staff. Especially Miguel was so nice. Perfect for staying before and after visiting the national park. It’s only a five minute drive to the entrance and the hostel provides a free shuttle service. Also free washing machine to use and free clean drinking water. Not a very social atmosphere, but perfect to chill out. Muy tranqui!

Guter Ausgangsort für den Nationalpark

Easily our favorite stay of the whole trip! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. It felt like we were staying at an all-inclusive or a resort. Swimming in the pool after a long day in the National Park was amazing! Food was delicious and the rooms were SO nice. Would absolutely stay here again :) Thank you for making our visit perfect!
