Hush Maderas

Worst place I’ve ever stayed at!!! It’s moldy and smells super bad, so you can’t sleep there. Very hot, no AC. Extremely bad food (we tried almost the whole Menu). Can not recommend at all! Only the view is nice but that’s it.

this place has stunning views but there was no atmosphere at all. i was litteraly the only guest, and yet the staff didnt make me feel welcome, didnt give me any information and just wanted me to pay. their path to the beach was blocked, so it now takes a 20 minute walk over a road under construction. And there were a lot of crabs in the dorm, even on the bed.

Overall had a great stay. Location is remote, not much to do but go to the beach and hangout in the hostel. Food is a bit pricey for what you get and theres no snacks. Room was lovely though and plenty cool with the fans.

Mega Aussicht!!! Sonst eher weniger gut… Essen ist nicht besonders gut, weiter weg nach San Juan, Zimmer sind nicht richtig sauber, personal ist sehr unfreundlich… In den Duschen kommt nur Salzwasser!!! Man fühlt sich dreckiger wie vor dem Duschen…

Amazing views, pool and the food. The room was dark with not very good lighting and it looked in a poorer conditions than in the photos. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Ohh and I loved their mini gym in the garden!

Mixed feelings about Hush. Yes, the view is hard to beat. The decks with the hammocks and the sunsets are amazing. Food is overall pretty good. But besides that, it seems the hostel has little to offer. The dorm was so hot I could barely sleep at night. The salt water in the showers makes you feel like you're never really clean. Enjoyed chilling at Hush for a couple of days, the free breakfast, sunsets, pool and taco night were great! But there were a few issues that meant it did not live up to the ‘boutique hotel’ branding. The toilet in the dorm room smelt really bad, was dirty and not cleaned regularly and some nights many of the double beds in the 6-person dorm were occupied by multiple people which meant that it was very crowded.

Ich würde empfehlen mehr Dorms zu installieren. Leider ist die Lage aber furchtbar. Wenn man nur zu Fuß und alleine unterwegs ist würde ich es nicht empfehlen. Zum Strand führt ein sehr steiler Weg mitten durch eine Baustelle. Wir (2Frauen) wurden hier recht stark angemacht und gefilmt. Dadurch fühlte man sich sehr unsicher/unangene...

The view is amazing, and the terrasse & piscine are very nice to lay around. Sunset is amazing to watch, and they offer quite a few transportations/activites. But the food isn’t that, the nachos and breakfast were good but everything else we tried (burgers & dorade) we did not really like.

It’s more of a hotel with a restaurant than a hostel, but i found it very nice and chill for a couple of nights to get away from the backpacking hustle.

Quelle vue magnifique!! Je n'en revenais pas d'avoir accès à cette vue sur l'océan et sur les couchés de soleil! La nourriture du restaurant est très bonne. Lits confortables. Je n'ai pas pu utiliser la fan à coté de mon lit, car avec la vibration elle se déplaçait toute seule et allait tomber d'en haut. Autrement, c'était vraiment parfait!! Plusieurs petits espaces de repos confortables. Un des employés en particulier était tellement gentil et chaleureux, c'était un gros plus ! :)

This place is absolutely amazing, I will definitely return. The food was amazing, but I wish there were some healthier options like salad and drinks without sugar. They had Coke zero on the menu but not available the whole time we were there. Shared dorm bed area was big and comfortable however the Shared bathroom and locker area was tiny. The pool is mostly covered so water very cold I would still come. Very beautiful and relaxing.

I loved my stay at Hush! So peaceful and a great place to relax and reset! Both beaches are walkable (steep hills but I loved the exercise). But it was also nice to just relax on the property. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out so that it never felt cramped. The food was amazing!! And Elsa was so lovely and helpful! I’d go back for sure. 10/10. The dorm has great beds- I do wish the shower was a bit cleaner but that’s my one suggestion.

This place gets an easy 10/10 from us. It's a stunning location outside of town so away from the hustle and bustle of SJDS. The building and facilities are amazing, the staff is very kind and friendly, the value is great, and the views are wonderful. Note that it is a bit of a trek from town (they have paid shuttles for $7 RT or $4 one way), and about a 10 minute (steep) walk to the beach. We'd love to come back here.

Lovely locale, no kitchen to cook your own stuff though

Easily the most stunning hostel we’ve ever stayed in, cannot recommend this place enough. The pool is insane, the food is great and even had free breakfast. There are no shops close by so just be ready for that, but if you need a bit of luxury and relaxation on your trip for a good price, this is the place! Shout out to Dixon too, amazing service - see you next year!

I love this place so much that kept extending my stay and I want to go back. Everyone was super nice and accommodating . This place is spotless and the view is amazing. If you are looking to relax and disconnect then this is the place. Also, I took some surfing classes there with their surfing instructor Gabriel and I learned so much with just one lesson.

Everything was perfect! Amazing view & sunsets with life music, very cool and chill staff, great food, clean rooms. Highly recommend that place!

Magnifique hôtel cependant il est assez loin de la ville à 20 minutes. Si vous n’avez pas de voiture ou de scooter ça risque d’être compliqué. La vue de l’hôtel est magnifique, au sunset c’est incroyable La nourriture est très bonne, les prix sont très correct

We‘ve had an absolutel great time at Hush. Location is one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. The views are just amazing. Staff is super kind and lovely and the food is excellent. Would highly recommend staying here. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Friendly staff and delicious food! Lovely place to relax for a few days. Only a 15 minute walk to Playa Maderas or you can take the shuttle.

I think this place is actually really beautiful. A bit “out of the way” but you could just stay here and not leave.. it’s that beautiful! Great resting spot for a couple days. Important to note it’s not easy to get to and you need to get a 4x4 car to get there! Staff super helpful and nice. Laundry was a bit overpriced tbh.. so don’t wash clothes here. Food is a bit higher too. They also almost charged me for someone else’s stay so the staff aren’t the most “on it” but overall ...

Perfect if you are looking for some relaxing days! View is stunning!
