Arch Dormitorio Langkawi

This hostel has curtains but they are completely see through. Didn’t appreciate that at all, because there was a lot of light going in, and you had 0 privacy. Also there is only a toilet in the dorm, could be a bit awkward with the other 12 people. So I would not really recommend this hostel.

The bedroom smelled completely of mould and it was actually unhealthy to sleep there. One night there and all the clothes etc. smelled of mould!

No running water when we arrived, and even when it was fixed the showers were bad. Bathrooms were dirty and smelly. There’s very little light in the room so can’t see anything. The staff were unhelpful and rude when trying to book a tour. Also couldn’t sleep because of the mosquitoes.

The hostel itself is ok in terms of facilities, the location is also not bad, only the staff is very strange.When I wanted to check out he only had a towel on and asked me in a flirty way if I enjoyed the stay.Also he was very aggressive in different situations towards friends of mine, you are not allowed to drink alcohol in the hostel and if you forget he freaks out, really can't recommend it.

The beds were not clean and the AC was not working, so it was really hot and humid in the room. The toilet and bathroom was “cleaned” everyday but was not clean at all. Common area was fine and cosy but no social events or anything happening

Not the best place to stay considering the price. Was ok at best, the rooms weren’t clean, shared one toilet and a shower with 12 people and no communal toilet. The volunteers didn’t seem very interested in being social with guests and don’t think I saw one of them smile. The location was great, but other than that would t recommend.

I have been travelling for almost six months and I always try to be understanding with my reviews. This place shouldn’t have a review score like it does. The cleanliness was so bad I ended up getting Dettol and cleaning the toilet myself after 24 hours of being so disgusting you couldn’t even enter the bathroom and only being one toilet available for the 14 person dorm. The maintenance workers were also in our room all afternoon working on the Air conditioners and smoking in our dorm.

It was ok for one night. And the staff was super friendly. But it smelled extremely of mold and my backpack and clothes also smelled of it after sleeping in the dorm. :/

It's fine but too conjusted rooms. Can find better options forsure nearby.

Nice modern hostel with friendly staff but the whole hostel smelt bad, even the outdoor lounge bit. beds were uncomfortable and only 2 or 3 showers/toilets for a dorm of around 16

Nice, quite social hostel. Female dorm has window which is nice for the day, and curtain making it dark for the night. Washing is available at small fee. Location is superb. Nice common area to hangout both inside and outside. The only issue was cleanness. Floors in the dorms were sandy, also outside area was super messy and dirty. Inside was okay.

Would stay here again if I was in Langkawi :) Beds nice and good location!

Not my fav stay but it was fine! Bathrooms were a little gross and only having one toilet for a 12 person bedroom was tough, but there’s another in the hall. My bed was the only one that had an opening to the door and it didn’t have a curtain to cover. Good location as Lankawi is small. Was fine but also was glad to check out after 2 nights.

Great location. The hostel has so much potential but seems to fall down in every area. There is a kitchen and fridge but only 1 pan and hardly any utensils. There was a pair of wet socks in the shower during our whole stay (3 nights) so clearly they weren’t being cleaned. Had to ask multiple times for toilet roll to be restocked. When we arrived we had to wait 20 mins to be checked in as there was no one at the front desk. Beds are ok, have mesh curtains so pointless. Could be great if improve...

Nice kitchen and common room spaces but bathrooms not the cleanest. Very damp. My friend spotted a cockroach in hers the last day. Vibes were just a little off but good location close to the beach.

l'auberge est sympa, cuisine à disposition ( frigo, plaque de cuisson,....) , eau chaude et froide sans limite. je note un seul bémol .... la propreté des sanitaires

One of the best hostels i've stayed in. Very welcoming, chill and fun atmosphere, very easy to meet people, has different activities every day such as beach BBQ night, everyone was so friendly. Beds are capsule and has a lot of privacy, everything is very clean and the place is new. Overall perfect hostel, made my langkawi stay a lot better

Might be the best hostel i have been. Very chill but still very social without parties. Every night theres activities by the hostel and the common areas are great. Location also nice ans staff very nice!

Super hostel juste derrière la plage, et au pied du night market le soir, bonne ambiance, terrasse agréable et lits confortables.

I love the staff and the community they create. Very social and fun. However... I got bed bugs from staying in the dorms. I was bitten all across my body for days. I slept in the common area to avoid them. I hope they resolve this issue thoroughly. They were nice enough to refund for the last night, but I wish they had refunded me for my entire stay because I did have bed bugs my entire stay.

what an amazing hostel! very cozy common area, a great terrace, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine for laundry! noah was an amazing host, soo open and really helpful with every regards i had. also there are a bunch if social activities which you can take part to connconnect with others. Rooms aand beds were cozy, clean and provided everything you need. wish i could've stayed longer!

Really friendly staff, very social place without being a party hostel, location two minutes away from the main beach. Many people staying for more than just a few days. Top bunk bed can a bit hard to reach sometimes, I would try and request a bottom one. But would definitely return here!

Arch Dormitorio might have been the best hostel I ever stayed at. It was raining the entire week I was there, but the hostel offers a lot of things to do inside. But the best part were the people I met. The volunteers are so sweet and everyone was just getting along and doing things together. Would have loved to stay longer (I extended 2 times already).

L’auberge est très bien placée près de la plage. Les lockers en métal sont hyper bruyants surtout quand certains font leur valise à 1h du matin Les rideaux ne servent absolument à rien totalement transparents

Prefer to stay especially for women, Girls at this place. It is located near the beach, restaurant, underwater marine aquarium & MC Donald. Just to improve for standing of shoe rack in the entrance of the arch dormitorio. It is easy to mingle with strangers / unknown friends. Night market also was extremely close to this place. I strong recommend to stay in this place for all.
