Varias cosas me disgustaron completamente de este lugar y voy a enumerarlas una a una. 1- no lockers at all 2- habitacion abarrotada de literas cn 0 espacio 3- para encender y parar la luz tienes q pedirlo en recepcion tipo carcel 4- en ningun momento vi una persona de guatemala trabajando, el hostal esta llevado integramente sor voluntarios q se enteran de la mitad, o no saben nada. Increible. 5- pedi un taxi a uno de los trabajadores y espere mas de media hora y nunca llego. Mucha avaric...

The place is run entirely on very young volunteers. There is no manager or paid workers. The location is far from the local areas you'd want to be near. The sleeping areas are cramped with no personal space or area or organise your belongings. No lockers. Debris from the ceiling falls onto the upper bunks. An absolute shambles, DO NOT STAY HERE

I’m so confused how this has got a 9 star rating, this hostel is filthy, there are bugs everywhere and the bathrooms and bedrooms weren’t cleaned the entire time I was there, the bathrooms actually flooded because the shower was so dirty. The beds are unstable and shake every time someone moves and it’s also really far away, there is literally nothing good about this place..

my friend had ants on her bed.. so did the bathroom.. not much going around. glad i just stayed one night

In El Paredon, all the fun stuff is going on in 1 street. This hostel is a 15min walk from this street and there aren’t any taxi’s or tuktuks available to bring you back to the hostel at night. Owner is always working at another hostel which is why no one is available at the reception. There are 1 or 2 volunteers but no one really cares about the vibe in the hostel and the lack of activities. Cheap place, but still not worth the money at all

Nice hostel but was very expensive as it was Santa Ana. Not lockers and the fan situation wasn’t great as it was super hot. But overall chill and a short walk from everything

Well to be honest the rooms are very very small and the whole hostel is not in the best condition, everything is shabby especially the bathroom is mold. But the staff is great! It’s at the end of Paredon but the Beach is just a few minutes walking.

Trop bon séjour ici, manque un peu de place dans la chambre pour les sacs mais sinon tous les équipements sont top. C’est un hostel bcp plus intimiste et chaleureux que d’autres « party hostels ». J’avais l’impression que c’était un petit groupe de potes, on faisait toujours des trucs ensembles c’était très sympa !

Nothing fancy, but the vibe was so great and bonded with other travelers. It's social, but not party, so it's nice. The volunteers and the owner are super friendly. Had a great time

a fine hostel, nice staff and chill vibe. no curtains on the beds or lockers or keys or any form of security, but it’s in a chill location

Hele fijne tijd gehad in dit hostel. Het is vrij compact waardoor het heel gezellig is en je snel nieuwe vrienden maakt. De ligging is ook top en de eigenaar is heel vriendelijk. Greetings to you Nery! x

I really enjoyed my time at Backpackers. It is in a more quiet part of El Paredon, away from the common party spots, but the town is so small that everything is still only a short walk away. Despite not having lockers, I didn't ever feel like my stuff was at risk. Because it's such a small hostel, everyone knows everyone and was super relaxed about stuff. I think I got lucky with there being a great group of volunteers and guests there at the time I was there where we hung out a lot together, so...

Amazing hostel !! Ended up extending my stay. The volunteers and the homey vibes were incredible - the kitchen was a real plus !! Only little drawbacks : no lockers for your personal items (even though everyone was super trustworthy), and no AC Loved that it was a bit further from the center, cause it’s in a more authentic part of El Paredon and still very walkable distance to where the parties are etc

I had an amazing stay in this hostel. A social hostel where even the owner gave some good recommendations and ideas of what to do. It is located a 10minutes walk from the center of the town.

I really enjoyed my stay; the vibe at the hostel is perfect. I’ll definitely be back! I found the place very cozy, safe, clean, and well organized. They made me feel welcome and very comfortable throughout my stay. Nery and the staff are so friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. Without a doubt, it’s a perfect place to stay, connect with wonderful people, and have a great time.

Loved my stay here. It’s a super social hostel, you’ll connect with fellow travelers immediately and there’s always a group going for sunset at the beach, dinner, drinks etc. @Nery thanks for making everyone feel welcome and bringing people together. 🙏

Really social and chill hostel! Feels like you're just staying with a big group of friends as they only have 2 large dorms. Volunteers and owner are super friendly and organize/join activities.

I had a great stay at backpackers whatta place!

Chilliges, social hostel mit lockerem vibe. Man kommt schnell in Kontakt mit anderen Reisenden, es gibt nur 2 Dorms à 8 Betten. Die Hochbetten sind super wackelig, oben sind öfters Krümel vom Naturdach und unten ist es relativ warm. Kein AC, dafür Ventilatoren. Es kann warm werden, aber dafür, dass es eine Küche gibt und der vibe echt cool ist, kann man drüber hinwegschauen :) Es gibt keine Schließfächer, man kann aber Wertgegenstände an der Rezeption lassen, was super ist! Der Besitze...

Amazing place! Super chill and social vibes, a kitchen with everything you need. Not in the party area, but close enough to walk there and come back to some quietness after. Also the beds are super comfortable and staff is so helpful and kind!

Great hostel the staff and volunteers are great people and it is a great spot if you want to have a calm place to be. They have a great atmosphere. I have no complaints.

Sehr schönes Hostel mit coolen Mitarbeitern und einer guten Atmosphäre. Waren alle zusammen mit dem Inhaber unterwegs, war sehr cool!

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! The hostel is small but really beautiful and has such a great atmosphere. It’s super social and very easy to meet people. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the stay even better. I felt comfortable from the first moment and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Backpackers was a great experience, about 5 minutes to the beach and the main party area. So was nice to be able to party and come back to get a good nights sleep. The staff were all super friendly too, overall I would absolutely stay again!

We really liked this hostel, the staff and atmosphere were so kind, the hostel had a kitchen which others in el paredon do not. It’s so close to the beach and only a 5 minute walk into town. I would have liked lockers though
