Central Hostel

Was told that their were problems with the water pressure but after a long day & with an early flight I went to take a shower & there was no access to any water except a messily stream the size of a sink of freezing cold water. I was told by other residents the problem persisted all day & was told that someone would fix it by the next day after I had to leave for my flight. Ten person dorm was COVERED in bedbugs. When we alerted the staff member on duty overnight he said “oh yeah we know, we fumigated already.” I don’t know what they fumigated because covered in bedbugs is not an understatement. Because they are pod beds, both sides, the top, and the mattress were full of bedbugs. Re opening a dorm before a known bedbug problem is properly fixed is so disgusting & irresponsible and I wouldn’t trust them to successfully get rid of them this time either.

I woke up surrounded by bed bugs, covered in bites all over my body. When we told the receptionist, he was dismissive and seemed unconcerned. He mentioned the room being fumigated which I highly doubt considering the lack of cleanliness in other spaces and for how many bed bugs we found on the walls, floors, and beds. The staff was unhelpful and didn’t take our concerns seriously. This ruined my vacation and was a complete waste of time&money. THIS PLACE IS INFESTED W BED BUGS STAY AWAY!

Very average hostel, got a private room that had absolutely nothing in it but the bed. Floor didn’t seem clean and the hostel itself was very hard to find, not a single sign indicating where it is and nothing at reception either. Breakfast was nice and location is handy if you’re going to the airport but otherwise not much around.

Zweckdienlich wenn man eine Unterkunft nah am Flughafen sucht. Mehr auch nicht. Der Pool ist so ekelhaft und runtergekommen dass man nicht rein möchte. Die Zimmer und Bäder sind sehr runtergekommen und es riecht sehr unangenehm im gesamten Hostel. Personal war nett und hilfsbereit.

We had a room with a double bed. The room as well as the bed itself was dirty. The showers did not work properly, so we had to shower with cold water without pressure. However, the breakfast was ok and the personell was very nice.

Excelente! Tiene lockers y cortinas. Muy buena ubicación. La alberca es linda para pasar un día antes de ir al aeropuerto. Lo único es que en el cuarto de 10 personas no hay buena recepción del internet.

Just would like a fan I’m the dorm rooms because it gets very hot and no airflow.

Really lovely and clean hostel in Guatemala City, located in a really nice area with restaurants and shopping centre near by. Lots of outside area to chill, only thing was the bathroom showers didn’t have locks just a curtain! But otherwise amazing place to stay.

Friendly staff. Quiet place. Showers and toilets super clean. The only suggestion is probably having lockers for bags. Denis is super kind and friendly always ready to help guests. Great location in Zona 10 sorrounded by restaurants and grocery stores. Easy access to the airport.

Great place to relax before the start of your trip in guatemala, or before the end of it/your flight. Don't expect a party/social hostel though, it's a very quiet and lowkey hostel. But, in exchange they have very, very clean dorms, privates and bathrooms. Water shut off b4 i left🥀 BUT all the staff is nice. Hm hm, this place is a no for me. I specifically stayed here because the 6 bed dorm had a en-suite bathroom but that was a LIE. My room was right next to the pool and we had the door open and this 10 year old girl and cleaning lady were running around and playing through the room. I was like noooo, is this your room? There’s no curtain in dorm thus a huge lack of privacy. 0 vibes with other guest, ppl were cold and rude. Breakfast is mid. No luggage storage. Overall, a no for me.

Für eine Nacht war es ok und man ist sehr nah am Flughafen. Länger würde ich aber auch nicht bleiben wollen. Ein Schild am Eingang, dass sich dort das Hostel befindet hätte uns die Suche in der Nacht erleichtert. Das Frühstück war auch kein Highlight.

There is NO SIGN out front, possibly for security reasons. My shuttle driver and I spent 20 minutes driving around and trying other spots before he called (my phone didn't have connectivity). This is a decent place for a night in GC while transiting, and I recommend it for that. Basic, functional, no atmosphere to speak of, and no communal gathering/sitting area. But, good breakfast in decent area close to airport.

No key when I arrived no electricity,no wifi The receptionist told no hot water then morning the girl said yes.It wasn't too clean either my bed

Great value, great location. Both bedrooms that I stayed in only had windows to the interior hallway, but still, they were clean, nice, and good size. Would stay again!

+: near airport, intimate beds (sleeping in a cube thingy), spacious room, internet works well, warm water for showers -: nothing that comes to mind from a 1 night stay to get to the airport.

good location...hard to find due to NO sign outside, rooms so so, toilets too small, one bathroom has been out of service for weeks, lame breakfast, staff mostly clueless, gal who speaks English is awesome, mosquitoes, construction next door...pool area nice if it's sunny. You may like it.

Local perto do aeroporto e em um bairro seguro, mas longe do centro. Banheiros sujos e velhos. Duchas são tanto para homens quanto para mulheres e portas não fecham direito. Quartos escuros. Cozinha meio suja.

Nice people, good facilities, safe location near Oakland Place Mall. If your driver can’t find it, tell them Casa Escobar is on the corner.

Goed hostel, alles was wel verzorgd. Heb hier maar 1 nacht overnacht en heel vroeg moeten vertrekken om mijn vlucht te halen. Er stond aangegeven met de kaart te kunnen betalen, na meerdere pogingen was dit niet gelukt en ben ik voor mijn laatste dag in Guatemala nog geld moeten gaan afhalen waardoor het verblijf redelijk duur was. Normaal zit er ook een gratis ontbijt in maar door mijn vroeg vertrek heb ik dit niet gekregen wat ik persoonlijk wel jammer vond.

Hostel is okay for an overnight stay or if you want a no-social-day. Pool is in a bad state. No vibes at all in the hostel. Breakfast is good !
