+ Ok location
- Crazy party hostel with loud music and weird guests. Booked 2 nights but ended up leaving for another hostel the same night I checked in. If partying is your thing then it’s good but you can’t brand yourself as a chill hostel in a quiet neighborhood when you are the opposite.
I liked this hostel a lot, atmoshphere is great, breakfast was amazing, staff is cool. But I had a single private room, and went to bed at about midnight, but then woke around 3am to something crawling on me. Turned on the lights quick, killed the bedbug that was full(just fed on me, slow) before it got off the sheet. So if this happens in a private room, I would assume higher odds for it happening in a dorm room. Hostel was great except for this, but it's a big deal.

- It seems that nearly the whole staff is just a bunch of volunteers- except the nice old lady who does the breakfast and the one cleaning the rooms. But if you are searching peace in these uncomfortable beds and there are people in the hostel who want to party all night- there is no one from staff doing anything about it. Another point is that the indoor -living room- space is to small and has too less sockets. The beds are much too short and the mattresses are spongy as well as the pillows are just made of foam. and there should be a lamp near every bed and some board/place to deposit some things close to you while sleeping (Waterbottel,Mobile etc.)

I was bitten by a large bedbug, which I then killed, while staying in a private room(shared bathroom) at Blue Door Hostel in February 2026. This happened at about 3am, and it woke me up, and I was able to kill the bedbug(slow moving since it was full of blood). One bite mark. But if there are bedbugs in the single rooms, that doesn't bode well for the dorm beds. I gave this hostel a 5/10, because omitting the experience with the bedbug, I would have given it a 8.5 or so. Breakfast was great.

My first ever hostel experience and would recommend!! The people here make you feel like part of a family and there’s so many fun activities! I felt so safe and cared for, and when I left for shkoder I truly missed the staff
A great hostel for solo travellers and people keen to socialise. Everyone is super friendly and there are events every night which mean you are never alone. It's only 15mins walk to city centre so everything is close and they help suggest tours and places to see which makes a massive difference. Best hostel I've ever stayed at! Plus it's very cheap and the dorms are great!

I had a great time at the Blue Door Hostel! The terrace, cat & the team (of course) were the best and I also really liked the breakfast and options for how to spend the evening. Most of all I enjoyed the trip to the Bovilla lake the hostel organized.
I had a great stay at Blue Door Hostel. The location is super convenient and the staff was lovely and very accommodating. Highly recommend!

+ The hostel vibe is nice. Free delicious breakfast and paid dinner by Nana. Very social hostel, easy to meet people. There is activities being arranged every night.
- There is only one toilet for each floor share with a lot of people. Bathroom in the top floor is always wet.

Best hostel Ive ever stayed in. The 10 bed room has you in little capsule like areas. You have a wall on 3 sides and a curtain on one. The hostel bar was a chill vibe and the events were fun as well. The dinner was solid too and definitely worth the value.
Todo en orden trato correcto
This is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Location is perfect, rooms and spaces are clean, it’s virtually impossible not to meet people. But the staff are without a doubt what makes this place amazing and are the reason everyone ends up extending or wanting to stay to volunteer. 1000/10 👏
+ Localização excelente e a equipe é espetacular. Disi, Daniel, Andreas, Mimi, Leo e Erald são todos incríveis! A comida é bem gostosa. O ambiente acolhedor e pacífico. Todos muito gentis. Tornaram minha estadia na Albânia ainda mais espcial.
