+ The location

- The dorm room is very hot with a tiny fan. Only one bathroom had water. The manager was very rude. The kitchen and living area is shut down between the hours of 10pm and 8pm. I had an early checkout and made myself some bread at 6.45am. the manager came in very angry and told me off for using the kitchen and turned the light. I would not recommend this place if you are a foreign traveller. It appears to be setup for locals.

- Très décevant Notre séjour dans cet établissement a malheureusement été une mauvaise expérience. La chambre était mal entretenue, avec beaucoup de poussière, des cafards, et des équipements défectueux (la chasse d’eau ne fonctionnait pas correctement). Le réceptionniste n’a pas été accueillant, ce qui a rendu le séjour encore moins agréable. Nous avions choisi cet endroit car le petit déjeuner était inclus, mais il n’a pas été possible d’en profiter avant notre départ à 7h du matin, malgré notre demande. Le matin même, j’ai simplement tenté d’échanger quelques mots avec le réceptionniste (un Québécois) qui m’a répondu sur un ton peu aimable qu’il était trop tôt pour lui parler, avant de s’éloigner. En résumé, propreté insuffisante, accueil froid et service décevant. Je pense qu’il y a de bien meilleures options à San José pour le même prix voir moins cher.

+ La ubicación y poder aparcar en frente

- La recepción por parte del responsable no fue educada. La bienvenida fue desagradable, sin decir hola ni darnos la bienvenida nos pidió el pasaporte. Le escribimos para preguntarle si era posible desayunar antes de la hora fijada y no contestó. Cuando llegamos, fue bastante desagradable explicando que la cocina se cerraba a determinada hora y que hasta las 8 am no se abría para nada, ni siquiera para usar la nevera o preparar un café, sin embargo, cuando nos despertamos a las 6:30am la cocina sí estaba abierta y el responsable sí estaba allí. La cocina estaba sucia, MUY sucia. Con otro responsable más educado todo habría sido mejor

- Tout est sale, le sol colle, des traces de je ne sais quoi sur les rideaux, des casseroles rayées comme jamais, des toilettes débordant de merde ! L'hôte pas accueillant ni arrangeant ni aidant !

+ Leaving this review for other solo female travelers. I know a dorm room is luck of the draw but I was sharing with very smelly, Burping farting snoring older men who were not in the slightest bit friendly and who were incredibly inconsiderate turning the main lights on up until midnight whilst also monopolizing the fan. Considering how far out of town you need to come and how the streets around the place are deserted, The receptionist was not welcoming upon my anrrival, avoided all eye contact and didn’t introduce himself. I had to ask for his name and he seemed very taken aback by this question as if I was being rude seeking such personal info. I just feel that the awareness and care to give a solo female explorer wasn’t quite there. Unfortunately my pillow was not clean it smelt of sweat the curtains for a little privacy did not reach the whole length of the bed. Only other men in the hostel, I arrived around 7pm and left at 5 am the next morning as no sleep was being had. As I said just leaving this for my fellow sisters and understand that the people in the hostel is completely out of the control of anyone and there’s not too much you can do. But perhaps it’s always like this I’m not sure so just sharing some info.

- 1. I was given a room next to the noisy street, at the same time next to the shared bathroom which means during the time I stay, no quiet time at all, even at midnight. 2. Someone had smoked in the room before and the smell is still there. 3. The curtain fell when I tried to close it. 4. I diarrhea after had the breakfast. This was the second time I am there because the first time I was in another room and had good experience. It was completely quiet after 9pm, But this time was a disaster. I am still suffering the belly!

+ The Owner / Staff is a horrible man -- he charged 5% Extra on Credit Card. Super Rude and Unhelpful. If you are an English speaking person -- he does not care to help you. I was needing to solve a sim card issue, and tried using Google Translate to solve it with the local staff. He did not like this as well. Felt intimidated to stay. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND.

- The Owner maintains the house. If you need any help -- he will not help you. I paid 105 Dollars and then had to leave without staying the third day because of this man's hostility. I was needing to solve a sim card issue, and tried using Google Translate to solve it with the local staff. He did not like this as well. Felt intimidated to stay. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND.

+ Me encantó la atención del personal, siempre fueron muy amables, atentos y dispuestos a ayudar. El lugar es limpio, tranquilo y bien ubicado, lo que facilitó mucho mi estancia. Las instalaciones son cómodas y el ambiente es muy acogedor, ideal para descansar. Sin duda, una excelente relación calidad-precio. I really appreciated the staff’s hospitality—they were always kind, attentive, and willing to help. The place is clean, शांत, and well located, which made my stay very convenient. The facilities are comfortable and the atmosphere is very welcoming, perfect for resting. Definitely great value for money.

- No hubo nada que no me gustara. Todo superó mis expectativas, especialmente el desayuno, que es excelente. There was nothing I didn’t like. Everything exceeded my expectations, especially the breakfast, which is excellent.
