At Sveva Bed and Breakfast

We just arrived for the check-in. As we arrived, there was a police car in front of the B&B, and a women telling us that the guy from the B&B kept her passport for the last 3 months and would not give it back, which is why she called the police. The guy from the hostel stopped answering our texts and phone calls, as he did not want the police to come in. The whole place seemed very shady, even the neighbours advised us to go elsewhere. We are now looking for another place to stay.

I am a woman of 69 years and I was really disappointed that I couldn't leave my luggage at the hostel for keeping on my last day in Catania. So I had to carry my three bags during the day because my flight was in the evening.

Every key locks every door and you get stolen from regularly. We met 3 different groups who stayed herr and everybody said there were stolen from (headphones, shoes,…) someone breaks into the room while you are away

Gdybym mogl dalbym zero gwiazdek, ciezki kontakt z wlascicielem, na co mozna jeszcze przymknac oko, w koncu to Wloch. Pokoje bez mozliwosci zamkniecia, kazdy klucz otwiera kazdy pokoj, do tego okrutnie smierdzi papierosami, pod lozkiem lezace niedopalki, a w pokoju panuje ogolny nieporzadek. During our stay at night on April 5, while we slept in the room - two mobile phones, ID card and money of one travelller was stolen exactly from the bedroom!!! Owner declined option to look to the cameras to recognize robbery - he told a camers don't work. I don't believe in that, because at the previous day at the check-in I saw all cameras was working and every space was visible on multiple screens! A room lock was broken from inside, so a room could not to be locked. Owner totally ignored ou...

I had an awfull experience with this place. I was unable to check in, and when I tried calling the phone number listed the one who picked up only spoke italian, and was no help at all. The place was dirty.

Ho pernottato una solo notte e ho avuto il "piacere" di entrare in una camera (privata!) con ragnatele e, soprattutto, con cimici dei letti, con un materasso chiaramente sporco degli escrementi dell'insetto. Al momento del reclamo sono stato ignorato -doppia spunta blu- su Whatsapp, con nessuna chiamata ricevuta nonostante il sollecito. Aggiungo anche che è poco on...

Besides being rather dirty, specifically the shower, I booked a room with a private bathroom but they gave me a room woth a shared bathroom. The bathrooM was outside of the room and at check-in they pretended that this is my own bathroom and I have to keep the door locked while they said the same to others! Awful experience!

Fuyez cet endroit, à part la terrasse et l'emplacement rien n'est correct. Gérant injoignable, incorrect et désagréable. Chambre dans un état affreux dès l'arrivée, odeur de cigarette, toilettes qui sentent l'urine, draps tachés et sales, frigo et murs sales. Nous voulions annuler devant l'état de la chambre mais le gérant est introuvable. Nous avons doncdu laver nos draps et la chambre en arrivant... malgré nos photos et explications aucun vrai geste commercial proposé.

Die Lage ist sehr gut aber die Unterkunft wird mit nicht allzu viel Liebe betrieben. Zimmer und Gemeinschaftsräume waren schmutzig. Die Sauberkeit der Küche hängt natürlich auch von den anderen Gästen ab, das ist mir klar. Hier schien es aber eine Grundsäuberung angebracht. Die Aussicht aus dem Zimmer war sehr schön und der Balkon toll. Die Dachterrasse ist toll aber auch etwas verwahrlost. Unser Bett war leider sehr durchgelegen und quietschte bei jeder Bewegung. WLAN geht kaum.

Tutto bene escludendo qualche problema con la pulizia, il materasso, l’assenza di posate e i vicini che purtroppo hanno disturbato in varie occasioni

I had an awfull experience with this place. I was unable to check in, and when I tried calling the phone number listed the one who picked up only spoke italian, and was no help at all. The place was dirty.

I guess the owner gave me the worst room possible in a basement-like location without windows and an old terrible smell. There were black stains on the walls, the fridge had horrible smell and didn't work. There was noise until 2am coming from all sides (really thin walls). I usually stay at hostels and the quality of facilities, bathrooms, and cleanliness is better than this. The only plus for the price was the privacy, nothing more.

Everything was fine. Good value for money. Homely atmosphere, good view, close to the pedestrian streets. If I'm there again, I'll definitely stay there Thank you!

Communication with the host is poor. Was thinking of extending my stay and emailed him, but no response. The host walked into my room without knocking! There is not much hot water and the shower attachments are broken. The room locks do not work very well. My 'ensuite' room was a separate door from the common hallway, but the door could not be locked. Massive 'party' or commotion the last night from many young people causing excessive noise and damage. No means to alert the host.!

Posto in posizione molto carina con tutte le amenità necessarie 🙂 siamo stati accolti da un signore gentile con cui abbiamo scambiato due chiacchiere. Per un prezzo così era ottimo!

Location and the terrace with the view are the best. Staff is just to get the payment because wifi was not working, I wrote to them and they replied late and with the same password that the two networks not working.

Owner waited for me to check in at at midnight which was so nice. None of the workers speak English so it’s a bit hard to communicate. They only take cash. Terrace was nice, good location. Great value for a private room.
