Worst hotel I've ever stayed in, impossible to rest, they open the room about 10 times, the staff turn off the air conditioning while you're still in the room.

The rooms smelt disgusting, there was mould in several places in the room including on the shower curtain (that was covering the broken shower door). Room had random bugs & cockroach in there. The ‘Base Staff’ aka drunk British reps would come into your room randomly and shout to wake you up / try and encourage you into doing the various hostel activities that was essentially just getting you to spend as much money at the bar as possible. Extremely dirty and not kept well. So loud and noisy. Other patrons were not at all considerate and were extremely noisy and dirty. Worst hostel I have ever stayed in!

The staff was amazing I will say but the place was a nightmare. Blasting music all night. My clothes got stolen. Someone took my towel twice and lost my deposit and the day I was going to leave I found my shoes completely filled with water. Full of drunk british people. This is an intense, crazy party hostel. If that’s your vibe, go for it. There is a super loud mexican restaurant with live music until 3am every night which you can hear very well in the rooms. For the price i paid, it’s scandalous that the airconditioning didn’t work. Sleeping was hell. Bathroom is disgusting. One of the staff members was very sweet tho in helping me when I got sick.

Not bad place bed are nice, wanted to extend one night and the charged me double the price for the same room because “high season” as if the season magically changed overnight.

There was no safety at all. Someone was trying to fight with me and before and I told the managers before but no one did something. I would say the vibe is about drinking but the safety is not great

tanya and nana where amazing

I really like my stay and I extend it everyday. It is perfect for young person. Expecially Cy and Joy were friendly.

Absolut party hostel! It has loud music and cool drinking events, if that’s what you are looking for.

Tanya nana the greatest of all time

one of the best hostels ive stayed at, done a few tours but the island tour on a boat was so much fun! Young lady called Bella, who was volunteering made the experience so much better with the information she gave and the way she spoke! & everytime i went for a drink at base included me and was honestly so lovely! overall really liked my stay and would definetly come back :)

Nana and Tanya at reception were so friendly and helpful! They made my stay so enjoyable! I would absolutely recommend this hostel for solo travellers it is a great place to meet people!

The hostel is in a very nice location and good for people wanting to party. The beds were comfortable. Unfortunately my bed was not clean but they changed it right away. The same with the toilet covered in vomit. If you‘re looking for a place to party and don’t care about drunk people being loud in the dorm at night this place is nice to stay at. Loved the pool.

Stayed 3 nights, very clean rooms and nice crowd. Nana and Tanya were very polite and accommodating. Would recommend!

Great stay for a few nights, the hostel is great for meeting people, organized fun events, and its location on the beach is beautiful. Nana and Tanya at the front desk are lovely and ready to help with anything.

Great hostel for solo travellers, great events such as Boozy bingo and pub crawls, Tanya, Nana are great staff and make you feel welcome. Beds are pods with curtains so nice to have some privacy

L’hôtel est très bien situé. Cependant, le matériel et les chambres sont désuets. Mérite d’être changer Les prises électriques, la toilette et la douche manquent de puissance au niveau de l’eau. Et mérite une rénovation majeur Le matelas est confortable, le personnel est très bien, le ménage est fait quotidiennement et l’air climatisé fonctionne parfaitement.

Main complaint is did not feel clean — shower / bathroom. And also very strong smell that interfered with sleep. Possibly related to a roommate? but did not think so. Also friendly staff but no one available before 8am. So if you have an early flight and rent a towel, you do not get your $ back. For party — it is great. With coordinated events like pub crawl, which was good value! But be aware you will not be able to fall asleep until 1-2am since there is no noise isolation.

Highly recommend base to stay in Ao Nang. Beautiful location and always a great night out. Tipsy bingo with Rhys and Mason was definitely a highlight Special mention to Joy and Nana at reception can’t forget Gaby too. Book base if you want to have the best time in ao nang
