JugendStube Hostel

Had an odd stay here. The beds are good. Big showers and bathrooms but when I checked in the receptionist was asleep on the couch in the common area I had to wake her up so I could drop my bags. No social atmosphere at all as it was just older men here at the time. It was still a good stay though

Host is nice! Hostel is well located. Unfortunately smell was not nice all over the place and beds weren’t comfy at all.

A small hostel in the center of the old town. Very clean. The common area is not so nice for socializing. The kitchen is not the best, but this is a hostel and not a hotel. So it’s okay.

It was okay. A little pricey for what it was.

Not the most exciting hostel. When I came there there was a weird damp smell all around. The hostel is pretty small, very basic, there isn't really a common room apart from a couch next to the reception. The atmosphere was very dead when I came there. The location was literally in the center. For a night it's kind of ok, but wouldn't stay there longer.

Host was very nice. Two adorable cats that hang out in the living room quiet hours between 10:30 PM to 7 AM if you like quiet in peace this is your hostel not a party place very quiet. Maybe that’s just the time I went. Not much privacy. You can hear everything that happens in the bathroom lol. They have lockers in the room. Host gives you a key, which is nice, but I didn’t feel very safe staying there. I feel kind of paranoid a stranger was going to walk in. It would be easy for them to.

Positive: Good location, nice receptionist, mostly clean, two really cute cats. Negative: No curtains on the beds, quite small so not much is going on, no daily activities offered by the hostel, the facilities seemed a bit old. Overall it is a good hostel for a short stay in Brasov, but there are definitely some things that could be improved

Lovely staff :)) The place had a couple bathroom problems while we were there so there was only one usable bathroom, and the facilities could’ve maybe been cleaned a little bit more. But location was absolutely perfect and it was a charming little place with a nice atmosphere and decoration.

Hostel is in a great location in the centre of the old town, 2 mins from the Main Street and square. It is a very small hostel as it only has two dorms and a couple of privates. The hostel itself doesn’t require a key to enter as theoretically reception is 24/7, and each of the dorms don’t require a key to enter but have a luggage locker. There is a kitchen and two bathrooms (although one of the bathrooms was under repair when I stayed (March 2026) which meant there was a wait sometim...

Amazing stay, genuinely might be one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Receptionist is super nice and accommodating. Very clean, towels provided. And located right in the middle of Old Town.

War echt ein angenehmes ruhiges Hostel mit richtig guter Lage in der Stadt. Küche, Zimmer und Badezimmer waren sauber und die Ruhezeiten wurden eingehalten. Würde immer wieder herkommen.

Ziehmlich gemütlich mit den drei jungen Katzen die dort leben. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Küche ist in einigermassen gutem Zustand. In einem Zimmer haben sich ausländische Saisonarbeiter dauerhaft eingemietet. Diese Kochen sehr oft und lecker aber sie sind nicht sehr offen und kontaktfreudig. Insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung.

Very lovely host who couldn’t do more to help you, very welcoming and homely. Hostel in a lovely locations, felt safe throughout. Would happily stay again!

Very friendly and welcoming. Lady running the hostel was always happy to help out, give advice and accommodate our needs. The hostel is small and cosy with only 2 dorms (4 and 6 bed) which meant it is not noisy or busy. Very good location super close to old town centre.
