Shocked the reviews are so high here. There was weird creepy vibes here from the volunteer staff, seems like a place to just get young female travelers drunk and hook up. The building itself is not great, no bed curtains, no ventilation/openable windows in the rooms so they were so hot, no shower hooks, bad layout to access bathroom and showers, the most disrespectful drunk party vibe people I’ve experienced in over 60+ hostels.

Kein Fenster zum öffnen, keine Klimaanlage. Zimmer unbetretbar bzw. unerträglich. Aufgeteilt in 3 Gebäude, für Duschen muss man teilweise in den 3. Stock des Nebengebäudes oder in den Keller des anderen nebengebäudes. Waschbecken haben alle strukturell keinen Plug drin, einige toiletten defekt (samt dazugehörigem Geruch).

Everything was so dirty and very old. The facilities were dirty and very filthy.

Theft We were told they shared facilities with a hostel. At this accommodation, someone broke into my room and stole my personal backpack containing electronic devices. The location is good, but there's no security whatsoever. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There's a high risk of being robbed. It's a very serious matter. I've traveled a lot and this is the first time something like this has happened to me. Awful

Siamo arrivati e ci hanno detto la prima regola:" dalle 22 alle 7 di mattina mantenere silenzio assoluto", e poi hanno fatto una festa in ostello tutta la notte con musica altissima, in stanza una ragazza ubriachissima con persone che entravano e uscivano di continuo per vedere come stesse. Ci hanno spostato alla stanza al piano superiore per stare lontani dalla musica: rubinetto rotto con acqua ovunque in bagno, la stanza sporca com bottiglie di vino vuote e una puzza esagerata.

The staff at this hostel were fine, but overall it was quite unsocial. The common rooms are spread across three different buildings on the third floor, which makes it difficult to meet other guests.We paid €20 for the pub crawl, but it was disappointing — we ended up at three empty bars, and most people just left to explore on their own, so I’m not sure what the €20 was actually for. In general, this is the worst “social” hostel I’ve stayed at so far. Some of the events were okay, ...

The old person working there was really rude. He doesn‘t speak english and kept making rude gestures to me and I have no clue what he wanted. Also he was really loud with his radio in the kitchen in the morning of Jan 1st when were all trying to sleep. The room was cold as f**k. I could barely sleep. One of the toilets seats on the 3rd floor had literally shit stuck onto it. Disgusting! The rest of the staff I give a 10/10. Very friendly!

rude service. they don't know what they're doing. the girl at the reception didn't know how to use their software which took a lot of our time just to check in. rooms have weird smell. they took extra money from us as 'tax' which they were apprehensive to refund later. we have to go all the way up in the building just to fill water bottle. disgusting.

Wild Elephants takes the idea of a party hostel and turns it into something revolting, that feels dangerous. After spending one night there I’m unsure how it’s even a legal enterprise. By 6:30pm when the dinner began, the bartending volunteer (Andre) was already piss drunk, wobbling all around, shouting, slamming metal pans on tables and to my surprise people were laughing along at it as if it were funny. Best experience ever!!! Cant remember much but cheer to the tiny Italian girl, the Italian boy behind the bar and the big dude with dreadlocks! WE ARE ONE!

Good location and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the overall experience wasn’t great. They required a €10 cash deposit for the key and refused card payment, so I had to find an ATM before they would let me check in, even though my stay was already fully paid. The beds had no curtains or privacy, no personal light, and the bathroom was extremely small and not in the best condition. Overall, not satisfied with the experience.

Stayed here for a few nights during Eurovision and had a genuinely great experience. Andy, Andrew, Luc and the rest of the team were fantastic throughout and created a really welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. This wasn’t my first solo trip, but it was my first hostel stay, and it completely exceeded expectations. The rooms, bedding and facilities were all spotless and the whole place felt very well run while still keeping the fun social atmosphere. There was always something go...

One of the best hostels i've stayed at. Amazing place, staff are all incredible. They all go out of their way to make you feel at home and welcome. Would recommend it to everyone.

A true fever dream that never ends, with the funniest people, and a great atmosphere! It'll change you for the better, mostly. Praise to everyone, but especially Rafael for being the epitome of calmness!

If you like being surrounded by filth and creepy, questionable people, I couldn’t recommend this hostel more. The showers were filthy, there weren’t enough toilets, and the whole place felt dirty. The volunteers seemed to outnumber guests and kept to themselves. The bar crawl was overpriced, and being invited by the hostel chef to shower with him says enough. Booked 3 nights, left after 2 for a hotel instead. Any strange stories you hear are probably true.

I would like to thank the Wild Elephants for all the hospitality and kindness during this incredible stay. What was supposed to be 2 nights turned into 5 at this hostel. I highly recommend it to those who want a place to socialize and party! And I especially thank the Brazilians who made the stay even more amazing. To Freddie, for all his patience and kindness, and to Vinicius for showing me the best bars in the city!

This is definitely the interesting side of a party hostel. Honestly staff was fairly rude and clearly very invested in sucking every possible dollar out of you. The events were interesting for sure, assuming nude swims and kinky behavior primarily from staff is something that gets you going. The rooms were decent but got very hot at night and I wouldn’t even recommend stepping foot in the kitchen.

amazing atmosphere and staff (shouout for my men freddy) , the pub crawl and the parties are crazy, everyone was friendly and sociable, definitely an experience that I recommend to everyone.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. I stayed in the 12 person dorm and was suprised how spacious and clean it was. There were more girls in there than guys which was nice as a solo traveler woman. The hostel had events everyday of the week in the afternoon and evening. The location was very good, not a far walk from the Old Town. Highly recommend!

One of the best experiences I've ever had. The people here are lovely, everyone is friendly, and the rooms are clean and cosy. 100% would recommend.

First off, huge shoutout to Andy, Luke, Owen, Luisa ,"the Sicilian friend from the bar". They really seem to put in a ton of effort to make sure everyone has a good time and leaves with a great memory. I’d seen a few people mention that the bathrooms/WCs weren’t clean, but honestly, I checked them on every floor at different times of the day and they were totally fine. Clean every time I went. So yeah, no worries there :) Only small downside for me was the river bit boring imo.

Ma chambre de 12 était particulière : aucune fenêtre ne s’ouvre. Il faisait très chaud et l’odeur était gênante. Autre point négatif : le wifi est très souvent lent. Outre la chambre, cet hostel est je pense le plus social que j’ai jamais fait (et j’en ai fais). Plusieurs activités par jours animées par des volontaires et employés très enthousiastes. N’espérez pas vous reposer dans cet hostel, grosse soirée tous les soirs dimanche et lundi inclus.

Absolutely loved the vibe of this hostel! It has such a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere and you instantly feel comfortable. The place is well-maintained, social, and perfect whether you’re travelling solo or with friends. A special mention to KP, she’s incredibly kind, attentive, and goes out of her way to make everyone feel at home. Her energy really adds to the whole experience. Would definitely recommend!

absolutely crazy hostel. the staff organized wild pub crawls and party nights where you can just go nuts, but they also offered cozy social events to meet and connect with other travelers. especially shout out to the girly volunteers KP and Luisa for making me feel so safe and included during these events. rooms are clean and comfy, you can get a full night of proper quiet sleep even with a party going on in the hostel every single night. it’s a must for everyone traveling through eastern euro...
