Travelled to Fes as a solo female traveler and stayed here. Male staff member with long hair and bandana (told me his name was Amir) started talking to me on the terrace and invited me to go with him to a lookout for sunset. when I politely declined, he started messaging me weird and scary messages, which made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable.
Terrible experience. There were bedbugs in the beds, a horrible smell was coming from the bathroom and it filled the entire room. I requested my taxi to the bus station a day in advance, and when the time came, the guy who had taken the reservation told me I had never asked for it. I had to walk with my luggage until I found an available taxi. The reception staff don't solve anything and payment is cash only. I would never come back.
I lost my flight back home because they locked me up even though I had told them the night before I would be leaving at 5 am to catch an early flight and they confirmed there was always someone available at the reception. At 5 am there was no one and no way to call someone's attention, after walking, turning on lights and eventually nocking on the table which I really hated as it may wake up the people, did someone came to open the door and mock me when I complain about missing my flight.
The biggest issue is that it is not actually a hostel, so I don't know why it's even on Hostelworld or why they claim that they are a hostel. In reality, it is a B&B for families. It is also not social, since there are no travelers or other people to meet or chat with. They don't have a kitchen; instead, there is a restaurant and a rooftop bar, which are quite expensive. Considering that it is more of a B&B, the rooms are not nice at all. We had a rather expensive bunk bed room that was dark an...
Looks fancy but that's it. Real hostel vibes are definitely missing. And since I've been there I got loads of bites all over my arms and legs...
Great hostel overall but do NOT book a trip to the desert through them. It was a major bad deal, we paid more than anyone else we asked throughout our trip to Morocco and when we got to the desert, we were in the wrong accommodation at first and had to fight to get what we actually paid for. Upon calling the hostel to ask them to fix the error, they just hung up on us
The stairs and the floor in the room were so inconceivably loud that everyone was woken up if someone came late/went early.
pros: location is good, at center of medina.the communal space at court is big. cons: not recommend to check in the hostel at night time, around 00am.its a nightmare! no cars are allowed to enter medina. you are forced to walk from the main gate of medina to the hostel. there are guys on the street who harassed you and attempted to lead you to wrong way. the bad thing is, the hostel host refused to pick me pick even though the police at the gate called him to do so. check-in daytime is better...
nice looking hostel, nice staff, good breakfast. seemed not really clean though, cockroaches in the first room, bed bugs in the second, dirty floor in the room.
Positiv: Sehr schöne Einrichtung und tolle Atmosphäre. Freundliches Personal und gutes Frühstück. Negativ: Fenster defekt dadurch kaltes Zimmer.
Positive: Very nice furnishings and great atmosphere. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Negative: Window defective resulting in cold rooms. Wifi didn't work. Parking is indicated, but there is no hotel parking. Hostel is located in a badly run down Gasse. Despite mehrfacher please no repair of Wifi or Window. On request we have got 6€ refund for no Wifi and a cold room.

Wunderschönes Hostel, nettes Personal und tolles Essen! Eines meiner Highlights in Marokko
Wunderschönes Hostel, nettes Personal and tolles Essen! one of my highlights in Morocco

Great vibes, accommodating staff, and their restaurant was very convenient after a long day.
I really enjoyed my stay in Medina Social Club. The place is really beautiful, with an amaznig terrace offering views of Fez. What really made my stay is the super friendly and helpful staff who were always available.
Amazing hostel! So happy to have found this. Both Yassine and Ibrahim were super helpful and kind. The riad is beautiful and very well kept. Lovely rooftop and decor. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay again if we return to fes!!
Great value - doesn't feel like a hostel because the building is so nice! The rooftop restaurant and courtyard are beautiful spaces. It took ~2 hours to be served food at the restaurant upstairs, so I would use it more as a hangout spot than count on it for meals. The rooms were nice enough, though it did smell a little sewage-y in the entry way and smelled like sour laundry / urine in the upstairs part of our room.
Great hostel at fantastic location. Friendly staff
This is one of the best hostels I have stayed in Morocco. Ibrahim and all the staff are charming, they treated us super well. the cleanliness is excellent and the location is also fantastic.
We had the best time at Medina Social Club! As it is located right in the old town it makes it easy to explore the city on foot. The hostel itself is super peaceful and in a silent environment, it was always good to go back to the hostel to chill and enjoy the rooftop. Staff was super friendly and helpful and breakfast very good! Would always come again!
Very nice Riad, which is very centrally located. The roof terrace is beautiful and invites to relax, after a trip through the whirling Medina. We were there in March, so it was still relatively cold. With the air conditioning and the Heizstrahler in the bath it was but in Ordnung. The staff is super helpful and the breakfast is delicious.
Alles wirklich perfekt!! Große Empfehlung
Everything is really perfect!! great recommendation
we genuinely couldn’t believe how beuatiful this place is. they have a f***g orange tree in the middle of the hostel. best value for money we got across 6 different cities in morocco.
tolle Unterkunft, sehr nettes Personal, mega Frühstück, ... Kann nichts negatives finden.
Very nice accommodation, very net Personal, mega Frühstück, ... Can not find anything negative.
Sehr netter Service, Wunderschönes Haus, fantastisches Frühstück. Sehr zu empfehlen.
Very good service, wonderful breakfast, and the wonderful Wunderschönes Haus.
Amazing stay, very friendly staff, clean and lovely building with all the orange trees and mosaic stones, cheap and healthy breakfast ☺️ and the best place to be in town. Thank you!
I liked staying at this riad/hostel. I stayed in a private room with a double bed and a couch and private bathroom. It was on the top floor of the adjacent building. The stairs were difficult to manage - narrow and steep, uneven heights. The staff were friendly and multi-lingual. Breakfast was good, and the restaurant part was good too. The courtyard and rooftop were pleasant hangouts. It wasn't a very social hostel vibe though, but maybe that was the time of year/guests that were there. The loc...
A beautiful, more peaceful place, with a great staff and a delicious Essen!
Out of 10 different accommodations I have stayed at in Morocco this was by far the best one. The host spent half an hour showing us city landmarks on a physical map that he gave us to help navigate the medina, since google maps doesn’t work that well there. The place looks amazing and is also very clean.
Excellent staff
Excellent staff and knowledgeable staff.
