It was Just impossoble all things are very worn out, To open the door to room was hard, it had to be fixed.
Valor extremamente elevado para um hostel tão simples. Quarto muito quente. Esperava o mínimo de conforto em um quarto privativo, mas foi bastante desconfortável para dormir por causa do calor e da cama que faz muito barulho ao se mexer. Instalações bem antigas. Ainda bem que fiquei apenas uma noite, não seria bom ficar mais do que isso. A estadia foi uma grande decepção.
Extremely high value for such a simple hostel. very warm room. i expected the minimum of comfort in a private room, but it was quite uncomfortable to sleep because of the heat and the bed that makes a lot of noise when stirring. very old facilities. good thing i only stayed one night, it would not be good but more than that. the stay was a big disappointment.
The bathrooms were very old and dirty. In one bathroom the light didn’t work during our entire stay. There is only one bathroom that is okay. We had a room at the street side which was very loud at night + hard News. It was very warm since there is no airconditioning and the ventilator barely works. There’s no kitchen only a small microwave and a toaster. Even making a small salad was a challenge. There’s no common space where you can sit together. The staff wasn’t friendly

The place is very old and dirty, and so are the things in the room. we were in one room with a sink, they moved us to another room and in the morning we found out that there was a sink there too. the bed is very hard and uncomfortable, the rooms are small and stuffy. for the sake of the place - they were charming and allowed us to shorten our stay for just one night when we realized that the place was not right for us. in addition, the location is super central, really comfortable and close to e...
El alojamiento es demasiado caro para lo poco que ofrece. Lo unico bueno es la ubicacion. Luego, el restante del pago tuve que hacerlo en efectivo (con el cual no contaba y tuve que cambiar dinero, por lo cual fue mas caro) cuando en la pagina del alojamiento acepta tarjeta. El edificio es muy viejo y sucio. Los dueños tuvieron malos tratos hacia mi y entre ellos (gritos y golpeando puertas). No recomiendo en absoluto este alojamiento. La habitacion era muy chica con una mini bañera en la cama...
The accommodation is too expensive for the little it offers. the only good thing is the location. then the rest of the payment i had to do in cash (which i didn't count on and i had to change money, so it was more expensive) when on the accommodation page accept card. the building is very old and dirty. the owners had bad treatment towards me and each other (screaming and banging on doors). i don't recommend this accommodation at all. the room was very small with a mini bathtub in the bed.
No credit card accepted. Toilette don't flush paper. All dirty paper stacked in a can next to it. Bad smells. No shower head holder. Minimalist common area. Seats 4. Minimalist kitchen, no sink, no water. Looks much worse than the pictures posted. No A/C. Only two plugs and far away from bed. Maybe some exposed wires.
The staff was Lovely and we really apprechiated the rooftop. However the rooms were very small and not really what we expected from the pictures. The room were also very hot (we did get a fan but ac would be prefered). There werent any possibility to Cook which we got the impression of from the website (there were a small shared kitchen w a kettle and microwave but no stove etc). The location was very good, centered and close to the beach however it was very loud in the streets during the night
Caravela house is located along a major tourist thoroughfare, which makes for a very lively and energetic atmosphere - and all the noise that goes along with it; cleanup crews seem to enjoy making as much noise as possible outside our window at 6am! The staff was fantastic - very accommodating and friendly. The hostel is, however, in serious need of some TLC. Lots of stains, ants, peeling paint, and soiled carpets. Decent price, but not your place if you are looking for “shiny and new”.
La chambre était minuscule. Il y avait un lavabo avec eau chaude seulement. Aucun courant d'air malgré la porte et fenêtre ouverte. Nous dormions mal à cause de la chaleur et du bruit environnant. Super emplacement pour ceux qui aiment vivre au centre de tout. Pour nous un peu plus loin du centre, mais toujours accessible à pies, dans un meilleur environnement, nous convenait mieux.
The room was tiny. there was a bathtub with only hot water. no ventilation despite the door and window being open. we slept poorly because of the heat and noise surrounding it. great location for those who like to live in the center of everything. for us a little further from the center, but still accessible on foot, in a better environment, it suited us better.
Had a nice stay at Caravela. Private room was good size/cozy and included a sink in the room. The young girl at the reception was super helpful and welcoming! There’s a little patio by the reception and a mini kitchen. Note that there’s only 1 washroom for the accommodation, but you rarely had to wait. Prime location in city. A little noisy from street but main door locked after 11pm so felt relatively safe.

Love that they have singles private room. Never queued for the bathroom. Missing something to dry hands on in the bathroom. There is no sound isolation so you can hear your neighbors very well, and doors are loud. Ear plugs recommended.

Great hostel, the location is amazing right in the middle of old town, staff are amazing and the rooms are great value for the price, especially in comparison with other places in Lagos. People complaining about it not being a 5 star hotel have never heard of you get what you pay for, and for caravela this place is totally worth the price. Will definitely return!

Every person who works here is helpful and kind and charismatic and the accommodations were perfectly clean and comfortable. I certainly recommend staying here!

Directions to Caravela needs improvement. Rua 25 de Abril does not meet the plaza, there is a name change, even though one can reach Caravela from either of 2 streets off the plaza, which meet at the beginning of Rua 25 de Abril. Otherwise a surprisingly pleasant experience for this new experience.

A localização é perfeita, melhor impossível! É tudo bem antigo e com a estrutura bem básica. Não tem muita staff, toda ajuda que precisamos conseguimos com as senhoras que fazem a limpeza que são super eficientes e gentis. Ótimo lugar para dormir tranquilo, tomar um banho e estar perto de tudo que tem para fazer em Lagos.
The location is perfect, better impossible! it is all very old and with a very basic structure. it doesn't have much staff, all the help we need we get with the cleaning ladies who are super efficient and kind. great place to sleep quietly, take a bath and be close to everything you have to do in Lagos.

Personnel très gentil. Tout était bien, dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de cuisine ! Les chambres sont sommaires mais cela suffit amplement pour quelques jours à la plage. Tout est très propre.

Location doesn't get much better. The value for money is very aligned. The terrace is also a major bonus, though it would be better if it was opened earlier/more consistently.. The 'kitchen' is just a table with kettle, toaster and microwave and dirty dishes are just left out to be cleaned by the staff? For the location alone I will stay here again, very central but far enough away from the bars. The staff were very helpful, we arrived late due to a flight delay but reception stayed open for me to check in because I rang ahead. The building has a certain old fashioned charm but everything is well maintained and very clean.
Great location and overall good value for money. Definite quirks about the property including showers not draining and squeaky beds.
El alojamiento se encuentra ubicado en una zona ideal, Justo en el centro. El personal fue muy amable. Nos quedamos en una habitación privada que resultó un tanto pequeña y calurosa y solo había un pequeño ventilador pero estuvimos bien porque el calor no fue tan intenso! No aceptan tarjetas de crédito! Los baños estaban limpios y las duchas muy bien! Recomiendo para una estadía corta!
The accommodation is located in an ideal area, Right in the center. The staff was very friendly. We stayed in a private room that turned out to be a little small and hot and there was only a small fan but we were fine because the heat wasn't so intense! They don't accept credit cards! The bathrooms were clean and the showers very good! I recommend for a short stay!
