It's far from the scenic spot, and the traffic is inconvenient. It takes 20 minutes to walk from the station. The wifi can't be connected, and the room‘s bathroom are very noisy.
The stay was good and staff were friendly; we stayed to climb Mount Fuji so location was good. We expected it to be a bit more simple as it was more as a base for our climb. However, for what we paid it was extremely basic and felt as though we were on a residential school trip
it's an old hostel, they don't have a lift for those who travel loaded. most of the staff don't find them pleasant in the deal. the room smelled a lot of moisture and the bathrooms were dirty
business hostel
I was there for 2 days. The hostel is okay – nothing special, a bit old and pretty basic. I hit my head three times on the restroom doorframe.
Decent place but very quiet. Caters to families as well as travellers. Didn't have much of a social atmosphere. I really didn't like the lack of curtains in the shared dorms. Perfectly fine place to stay but only for a night or two I think.
ok for 1 or 2 nights but very dreary feel to it. Decent location as it’s near the lake and bus stop. Expensive compared to other places for the lack of amenities too.
Lacks privacy compared to other places in Japan. You had to pay extra for a towel. Was pretty clean but got a little stuffy and musty and in the dorms. It works if it’s the only place you can afford in the area, but if you have the money for it I’d recommend finding another spot in town.
Seems to be popular for families. Children screaming and playing in the common area, which is disturbing and weird for a hostel. Staff did not care. Hostel itself is clean and staff isn really nice.
Nice hostel with a great view of Fuji and near the lake. A little far away from the main town but not unmanageable.

Hostel was amazing ams the staff was really helpfull. they have a kitchen a nice room where everyone hangs out amd bike rental what is ideal in this area if you wawant to explore a lot in a day.
Nice hostel with great common and kitchen area, some parts are a bit dirty (cobwebs in lamps) They offer free internet, but its very spotty. Nice staff and very cozy.
The staff were courteous and the hostel is well run.
I really enjoyed my stay there. The private room was super clean and the futon comfortable. The common areas were nice and warm, the kitchen was big, clean and nicely equipped. There is fresh coffee in the morning from 8 til 10am which I thought was nice ! The showers are hot and functional, you might have to wait a little during rush hours but I didn't think it was a big deal. The location is 20min away from the bus/train station, in a quiet area. I'd recommend this place 100%.
Great lounge and dining area, staff and travellers were very friendly. Loved staying here.
Great hostel, has a place to socialize
Old school but very neat! i found it a really good hostel. they are really strict on properties and that too! there is a lawson's on less than 5 walk. an electric bike rental NBC nearby, because the bikes from the hostel itself suck a little. just by the lake and a 20 minutes walk to the station. if you don't want to walk then the bus stop is also on less than 5 walk.
nice big kitchen with multiple stoves, the common room had a lovely tatami section. no curtains on the beds. good for a couple of nights.

Very peaceful and clean environment, close to the lake and kind staff.
Really very nice hostel the price-quality ratio is good, it's one of the cheapest I've found around there and it really exceeds my expectations. super clean, and not just for leaving shoes outside. the bathrooms kitchen and common facilities. everything is signposted for proper use and the staff is very friendly.
Incredibly clean and friendly staff. I love Ks House
I recommand this hostel. Very convenient if you want to do your own grocery and to cook your own food. Nice community spirit. Only con is that there is no curtain on the bunk beds. Mixed dorms with no curtain makes changing before going to bed a little difficult.
It is for any ages. It is old but well kept. Only 2 washing machines, not enough. The lovely hostel atmosphere doesn’t exist. Rooms have no space for regular size suitcase, the rooms are small.I never saw a cleaning person but trash was taken out everyday. All an all a decent hostel.

Next to the Fuji Lake, next to the bus stops, a shop to do the shopping. Bikes for rent, washing machines. A super huge kitchen, 2 very well organized fridges, a large dining room and a small Japanese fashion, tatami and other.. nothing to say, super place

One of the best hostels I've ever been in, as you can see by the ratings. They have a great kitchen and great rules to ensure it's spotless. The only thing to keep in mind is that they have two hostels in Kawaguchigo. One has a better view of Mount Fuji compared to the other, so be sure to keep an eye on which one you're actually booking vs seeing.
Well located, accessible on foot from the station (20 min) or by taxi (1200 yen). comfortable and affordable. well organized common areas. close to tourist bus stops and near the cable car.
