poor treatment from the stuff, also there were bugs in the room , 1 guest complained about it and they moved him a room , but i would expect if there is a poor condition room to move all the guests. the bugs were desies carying

I spent one night at this place. Because I had a date that night, I booked a private room and paid for two people. When I arrived with my date, the security wouldn‘t let her in. When I asked why, he said that my girl looks like a prostitute. This not only made her feel really bad but also ruined the whole night. I think this behaviour is extremely rude towards her and me. It’s unacceptable to let someone like this loose on customers. I didn‘t feel welcome or respected as a guest.

No curtains. lights or outlets by the beds. Bathrooms lost water one morning…

Casa Kiwi is geen leuk hostel. De kamers zijn heel erg gehorig, er hangt een muffe geur en het is niet schoon. Ik sliep bovenop het stapelbed en ik kon niet eens rechtop zitten. Er hingen geen gordijntjes dus alles open. In de gang waren er 2 douches die we dus met de hele gang moesten delen. Ze deden moeilijk over het welkomstdrankje, omdat we een half uur te laat waren. Geen leuk personeel. Ik zou hier nooit meer terugkomen en niemand aanraden! Zwembad op het dak is een soort voetenbad..

Aside from the night noise from the nearby bar, the kitchen was a major disappointment. Next to no room to store food, the fridge was full of old food leftover from previous guests, and had an awful smell upon opening, and was barely even cold. Definitely lacking in equipment. Almost no utensils to make a proper meal, not even a kettle for making tea or coffee. Knives were dangerously dull. The cabinets were disorganized pretty cramped for cooking also. I left wishing had stayed somewhere else.

The 3 bed private rooms bathroom had a window that could not be closed and was right in front of the stairs so people could stare straight into the shower. The lights did not work in the room and had to be replaced while we were in the room. There was 0 atmosphere and we as 3 girls did not feel safe. Especially not after the person behind the desk said we could not pay by card, which was not true as we paid the next day with his colleague. Moved to a different hotel right away.

One of the worst value for money hostel that we have seen so far (second from last actually). We paid 250 cop for a tiny private room, extremely noisy, cold water in the shower in the "rush hour", weird locations of power spots, no hangers in the bathroom, no lights near bad nor a general light switch, tiny bathroom. We have seen much better rooms for less than half the price. Not recommended.

Not a hostel I would go back. We arrived and realized that the photos were not representative of the reality. The dorms were not really clean, and there were not enough place to charge phones for everyone. Plus it was really hot and there was only one fan for 8 people which was not really working. The worst are the bed bugs in the first room so they changed us, but they did not seem surprised when we told them... And then they moved us to another room there were bed bugs again.

The hostel is okay for the price – good value overall. However, one serious issue we experienced was the presence of cockroaches in the kitchen. On our second day, we couldn’t use the kitchen at all – it seemed like staff were dealing with a pest problem, though no one told us anything. Unfortunately, the next day we saw multiple cockroaches again, some crawling on the cutlery (forks, spoons, etc.), which is really concerning from a hygiene perspective. Not a hostel I would go back. We arrived and realized that the photos were not representative of the reality. The dorms were not really clean, and there were not enough place to charge phones for everyone. Plus it was really hot and there was only one fan for 8 people which was not really working. We had an amazing stay!! Victor was super helpful and nice and made our stay great! Breakfast is very good and there are a lot activities to join. Still was the hostel quite to sleep at night !!

nice location by provenza with a cool outdoor gym step away. not much of a view and beds don't have privacy. they've got nice relaxing/ social areas around the building

Friendly and spacious hostel in an ideal location. Great communal areas and kitchen, nice bars and rooms were comfy. Good breakfast too. Only downside is noise from neighbouring clubs and bars especially on the weekend - if you want peace and quiet it’s best to stay in a different part of El Poblado!

Great location with helpful, friendly staff. The building is older, so things are dated but work just fine. I enjoyed the Friday night karaoke on the rooftop!

Perfect starting place for Medelin. Nice and friendly people and social life. The coffee are great and the breakfast has a big selection.

At first I wasn't sure about Casa Kiwi at first but I quickly realized how great it was. The volunteers and staff were super fun and helpful. And there was always something going on but with just enough calm. I would definitely stay at casa kiwi again!

The location is very nice, close to restaurants and bars. The staff is friendly, especially Zev, who was very helpful. The only downside is that there’s no air conditioning, so it can get quite warm.

Nice place in a really good location right next to the Provenza area. The staff were also friendly & it has a nice rooftop with a small pool & a bar. The only downsides was that it wasn’t that social & also there was no toilet paper for a day in the bathrooms on my floor. Although the showers were great. Overall a good stay so thank you to the team :)

An overall nice hostel in a great part of town. The bed rooms are not amazing though. No shelving or hanging space. No curtains on wobbly wooden bunk beds. Very few power sockets, on the floor. Bathrooms and showers needed shelving too. All reception and bar staff are Worldpackers volunteers, they are there to party. They aren't trained.

Sehr nettes Personal , schönes Hostel. Habe mich mit Kind sehr wohl gefühlt. Gerne wieder.

Les chambres en dortoirs sont un peu âgées avec aucun rideau pour avoir un peu d'intimité ou quand les autres colocataires allument la lumière en pleine nuit.. Propreté correcte mais peu de salle de bain et toilettes

Amazing location. Right behind all the club and Provenza. Surrounded by lots of bars and cafes. Staff was very helpful and kind. Hostel does not organize much social events so the vibe is pretty chill. But overall great. The beds also don’t have curtains for privacy but are decent and comfy

Muy lindos hostel! Hermosa ubicación. La zona es muy tranquila y bella. Y a unos 20 minutos caminando todo por calle 10 está el metro. Los espacios del hostel muy lindos, todo siempre muy limpio y ordenado.

Stay was fine :)
