Not so sure why this hostel has such a high rating. It is miles outside of Fort William, the WiFi was nearly unusable, and the hostel closes between 10am and 5pm. Not being able to check in until 5pm seems a bit odd, and especially inconvenient for cold and wet hikers wanting to shower and dry off. That being said the shower was one of the best I’ve had in Scotland, so that is one of the few upsides
not in fort william. very far walking distance, no nearby shops. closest pub is mediocre at best. need to make bed, strip bed, buy breakfast, wash dishes, check in is very late and check out is early. do I need to do every job at this hostel myself?
Clean hostel with great sheets & beds. Very nice & helpful staff. Not a very social environment, very quiet and not really a common area.
Mit dem Auto kann man alles gut erreichen. Allerdings gibt es nach dem Wandern nichts zu tun, außer dem Besuch des örtlichen Pubs. Das ist allerdings eher eine Dorfkneipe und etwas langweilig. Fort William ist 1 Stunde Fußweg entfernt. Daher kann ich nicht beurteilen, ob es dort unterhaltsamere Abendbeschäftigung gibt. Das Hostel selbst ist sauber, die Betten sind bequem. Der Gemeinschaftsraum war nicht so meins.
By car you can easily reach everything. However, after the walk there is nothing to do, except visit the local pub. This is more of a village pub and a bit boring, though. Fort William is 1 hour away on foot. So I can't judge if there is a more fun evening activity there. The hostel itself is clean, the beds are comfortable. The common area was not so much mine.
It is located 2 to 3 miles away from city center of Fort William. There is not many food stores and eating places around. The place is very quiet and the vibe is not very active. There is a curfew time between 10 to 2 which is.not convenient.
Really nice hostel, but found the electronic key pad a bit of a hassel

Nice and clean stay. They had some hooks in the room which was practical. Kitchen and bathrooms where clean. There was a towel on the floor in front of the shower and they even changed it during the evening. Loved it!

We stayed there for two nights in a 4-bed private room. The hostle offers everything you need, affordable breakfast (if you need it), a big clean kitchen and real bathrooms (a shower, toilet and sink per bathroom, wee bit like home). You can give your dirty clothes to the staff, too, and they clean & dry it for £8,50, as long as the dryer and washing machine is free. The location is outside of Fort William, however there is a bus station near and the bus is operating regularly ;)
Top 3 des Hostels que j’ai visité. Je vais définitivement y retourner. La cuisine était très propre et avait tout les équipements nécessaires (excepté des épices, mais c’est un détail). Les lits étaient propre et confortable. Douche chaude et spacieuse. Ambiance était très bien et les voyageurs étaient respectueux. Beaucoup de randonneurs
Top 3 of the Hostels I've visited. I will definitely go back. The kitchen was very clean and had all the necessary equipment (except the spices, but that's a detail). The beds were clean and comfortable. Hot and spacious shower. The atmosphere was very nice and the travelers were respectful. Lots of hikers

The best hostel we have been in a while ! It was perfect ! Really clean, really warm, really friendly ! Give the man at the front desk a raise, he deserves one ! And do yourself a favour, book this amazing hostel ! We made friends along our trip, the bedrooms were safe and clean, perfect bathroom… Chase the Wild Goose, THE hostel to go

They had oat milk!!!!! :)))))) the receptionist was super nice and helpful. The only thing: some curtains at the bed would be nice (privacy) and more power sockets.
Nice, well-organised and tidy place for a holiday near Fort William. Staff is super friendly. I would recommend having a car if you book there cause there’s not a lot of public transportation especially on a Sunday and it adds a good 1-hour walk to any hiking plan. I know it’s Scotland but it would be nice if rooms were a bit warmer and less humid.

Very quaint and clean space with modern showers and well equipped self-catering kitchen. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside is the location, which is a bit further from Fort William, but there’s a train station close by.

Super auberge, propre, personnel sympa. Grande cuisine pour préparer ses repas Bons espaces communs Superbes douches et toilettes individuelles Malheureusement une seule multiprise dans la chambre pour tous les lits donc vous ne pouvez pas être sur votre téléphone dans votre lit pendant qu’il charge. J’ai donc du garder mon tel avec moi car je ne voulais pas que mon réveil sonne à côté de la perosnne proche de la multiprise
Great hostel, clean, friendly staff. Great kitchen to prepare your meals Good common areas Superb showers and individual toilets Unfortunately only one multi-use in the room for all the beds so you can't be on your phone in your bed while it's charging. So I had to keep my phone with me because I didn't want my alarm to ring next to the person near the multi-use.

Die Lage ist ziemlich am Arm der Welt. Am Abend ist man fast zwangsläufig dort. In meinem Dorm mit 8 Personen war jeder mal nachts auf dem WC und jedes Mal knallte die Tür zu. Schlafen ist anders... Was ich penibel finde: Beim Frühstück gibt es ein Glas O-Saft und zwei Scheiben Toast rot.
The situation is quite close to the edge of the world. In the evening you are almost inevitably there. In my bedroom with 8 people was every night on the toilet and every time the door slammed. Sleeping is different... What I found tricky: At breakfast there is a glass of O-Saft and two slices of toast rot.
Un po’ fuori da Fort William, ma col bus ci si arriva comodamente (30 minuti circa). Camere piccole ma pulite, possibilità di usare la cucina completamente accessoriata. La Colazione self service è ok, molto comoda. In bagno mancano le prese per l’asciugacapelli. Personale molto gentile
A little outside of Fort William, but by bus it is convenient to get there (about 30 minutes). Small but clean rooms, possibility to use the fully equipped kitchen. La Colazione self-service is ok, very comfortable. In the bathroom there is no press for washing capelli. Very kind staff

We did the 3 peaks . It was what we needed.
Overall an affordable place that is clean and easy to get to from the train station. You do need to be aware that it is a train station away from Fort William. I went to go hike Ben Nevis and I ended up taking a taxi to get there. The facilities are clean, and the kitchen is great. The bunk rooms are not bad. Check is isn’t until 5pm and the pub isn’t super close if you need to hang out until then. They don’t have luggage storage that is locked so you can’t drop it before check in.
