Pretty good hostel with amazing views. Security gates are good but could be improved with lockers in the rooms or locks on the doors.
The people there were really nice but it is not so clean
Wir waren für zwei Nächte in der Unterkunft und dafür war es oke. Die Bettdecken sahen leider nicht so sauber aus und die Vorhänge waren leider schimmelig. Das Bad war vollkommen oke, besonders die Aussicht war sehr schön. Personal war sehr nett.
We stayed for two nights in the accommodation and it was okay. the bedspreads unfortunately didn't look so clean and the curtains were unfortunately moldy. the bathroom was perfectly okay, especially the view was very nice. the staff was very nice.
Big shoutout to the team, very welcoming and friendly. We had some issues with the dorm (not enough beds) and took us 1 hour to check in. We finally ended in a private room in a big house next to the hostel. This Backpackers is perfect for 20-25yo willing to party all night!

The hostel has so much potential. It’s so beautiful and located in the best spot. However it does feel quite unsafe, they have no criteria in selecting the travelers and there were some really strange people who would get very drunk/on drugs and kept bothering us and NOBODY from the stuff did anything. We felt extremely uncomfortable and it ruined our stay. Plus they tried to charge us for one night extra and were very unresponsive and unhappy to help…
Schöne Unterkunft, toller vibe die Leute waren alle nett und offen dennoch war unser Zimmer bisschen blöd, die Türe ging nicht Richtig zu und als wir jemanden fragten das zu beheben kam einer hat einmal drauf gehauen und ist wieder gegangen, mussten dann zwei Nächte mit offener Tür schlafen und leben sonst war das Hostel gut das Essen war sehr lecker
Nice accommodation, cooler vibe the people were all nice and open dennoch our room was bisschen blöd, the door didn't go right too and when we asked someone to fix this came someone had a hat once and went again, then had to sleep and live with the door open for two nights otherwise the hostel was gut das Essen was very tasty
Prior to my booking I requested strong WiFi connection in the private room for work purposes, which Island Vibe agreed to. Upon checking in, I found that the wifi barely reached the room, so working from it was not possible. The hostel couldn't provide any alternative rooms to solve the issue. This left me no choice but to find alternative accommodation for the entire week on the day of checking in. Island Vibe have since not responded to any of my emails..

I would have had a better time at this hostel if there wasn't some sort of big group partying all night-only sleeping about 3 hours and being loud again at 6am. Plus, I was sleeping in the dorm and a man sat on my bed and woke me up to say I was in his bed but it was the last unoccupied bunk in my room.I notified staff about this the next morning and they just said there was not an extra person booked for the room.

Lovely location and great and kind personnel. The place was constantly being cleaned! Only downside was that there was no lock on the door, nor any lockers.
Great hostel. It’s got everything you need from events, excursions, outdoor fire place, shared kitchen, etc! It was clean & comfortable. The staff were amazing, shoutout to Liam and Sim for a great time sandboarding! Highly recommend!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Haben ein Upgrade auf unser Zimmer bekommen und hatten einen tollen Blick auf das Meer. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr herzlich. Abends herrscht eine ausgelassene Stimmung und man kann den Tag mit einem Bier ausklingen lassen. Würden jeder Zeit nochmal buchen.
We enjoyed our stay very much. got an upgrade to our room and had a great view of the sea. the staff was very friendly. evenings are a happy atmosphere and you can end the day with a beer. would book again anytime.

Honestly, it's such a lovely place to stay! we even extended our trip so we could stay longer

Aufgrund der Saison war nicht so viel los im Hostel, aber das Personal hat das wett gemacht. Neben Trommelunterricht, Surfen und Bingo am Lagerfeuer hat mir Silas, der Trommellehrer, auch spontan J-Bay inklusive Township gezeigt. Wer surfen lernen möchte ist dort auch sehr gut aufgehoben, weil der Strand unterhalb des Hostels gute Wellen für Anfänger wie mich bietet.
Besides drumming lessons, surfing and bingo am Lagerfeuer Silas, the Trommellehrer, also spontaneously showed me J-Bay including Township. who wants to learn to surf is also very well stocked there, because the beach below the Hostel offers good waves for beginners like me.

We had a great stay in Jeffrey’s Bay. Our room was comfortable and there was a really good vibe in the place.
When's the next time I can come back here? This hostel is in the most beautiful location. Waking up here, having an early morning cup of coffee, watching the waves, then snagging a board to go surf at dawn. This place is heaven. I took a morning surf lesson with Jimeal and was so thankful. To have someone who knows the breaks and help read the waves was unparalleled. That morning, we also had 2 different pods of dolphins come and swim right under our boards. It was incredible. I can't wait to...
Island Vibe is a true VIBE when staying in JBay! The hostel has everything you need and offers so much more! From breakfast and dinner to al lot of fun activities, and of course amazing staff to make your stay even nicer! We had the most fun and would go back anytime when staying in Jbay! :)
The people there were really nice but it is not so clean
We came as a backpacking couple,"just"stayed 4 nights and found a family like atmosphere at that place. Just everything feels so tight over there, I'd wonder if there's anything people could miss. Big plus: no matter if you can or cannot surf, you'll definitely leave hooked on it:)
