Not for solo travelers. This is a place for families, and there’s quite a lot of noise from kids running around in the corridors. I had to pay 100/n for a private room, however this did not include a bathroom or even a towel. I would have felt better had the rate been 60-70. That said, the reception staff were extremely friendly and professional and the actual facility and grounds are very good. It’s steeply uphill from the train station. There are 2 supermarkets nearby.
CHILDREN EVERYWHERE, and they make more noise than a party hostel day and night. The people in my room hardly got any sleep. Screaming children keeping us up at night and waking us early in the morning. It’s more of a children’s hostel than a youth hostel. Shower was moldy and bathroom was not cleaned for at least 4 days. Hardly any atmosphere, although staff was extremely nice.
Exept for the lack of a bigger and fonctionnal kitchen for all guests with space to cook at several people, and labels on drawers to know where to find ustensils etc.. nice hostel in a lovely location, and very nice persons to welcome you in many different languages !
The hostel was good, more expensive than most but it’s in Switzerland so understandable. When we were there, most of the guests were older, so just keep in mind if you are staying in a dorm style room. The staff is very nice and super helpful. An added bonus was that your stay includes a bus pass for the duration of your stay! Overall it was a good place to stay but a little far out of the centre of Lugano.
They took 18 euros extra as taxes and They did not took off the payment Hostelworld they said this payment doesn’t concern us normally every hostel only takes rest of payment and for using kitchen you have to pay unbelievable
Everything in suiss is expensive and this is no different. NOTE: the price they say on hostel World doesn’t include the city tax and applies only to their hostel network members. If you are not apart of the hostel network it will about 9CHF additional per night. It has a really nice pool area and garden but the atmosphere was mostly young families with kids running everywhere. Fridge and cooking only available to the private room ppl not the hoste guests to my knowledge.
The hostel staff war incredible! She was so nice and sweet. The beds don’t come with curtains which is a bit sad because they’re otherwise pretty comfy.
really cosy in quiet, open rooms so easy to connect, great kitchen, a lot of families with kids so can get a bit loud, otherwise quiet location, free ticket which is great to visit other places (nature) around lugano
A lot of the facilities were freemium/pay to use, so the low price is not entirely accurate. A quiet, family-friendly hostel. The receptionist was very helpful and gave me a paper map of the area with written suggestions for places to visit
Really nice hostel, comfy beds, friendly staff. Location is not that central but therefore the bus connection is really good. Would recommend!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Zimmer sehr ordentlich. Es fahren regelmäßig Busse vom Bahnhof zum Hostel aber die Strecke lässt sich auch gut zu Fuß bewältigen. Ich war im März dort und der 6er Frauenschlaafsaal nur halb ausgefüllt. Das Hostel ist wunderschön und umfasst noch einen großen Außrnbereich.
The staff was very friendly and the room was very tidy. there are regular buses from the station to the hostel but the route is also easily walkable. i was there in march and the 6th Frauenschlafsaal is only half full. the hostel is beautiful and also includes a large outdoor area.

extremely wonderful hotel and the staff is sooooo great. i booked a mixed room, but he helped me to arrange in a room full of girls that makes the trip better!!
Beautiful, clean & lovely service
Wonderful little place. Felt safe, extremely clean and we'll maintained, staff were so kind and helpful, all the information you could need. Family oriented too so you feel very safe. Only downsides are the place kinda goes to sleep from 10 onwards and Switzerland is of course very expensive. Otherwise, wonderful!

I had a short stay here but Ewa running the check in desk was super warm and welcoming. There is a big pool, clean bathrooms, clean rooms, lots of space to eat and relax. A good gelato shop down the road (bonus). But there were heaps of younger kids, so not my vibe, but the people in my dorm were nice and respectful!

Very clean hostel with nice staff. Its a bit far from the city center but the public transportation is super easy to use and free. It’s very quiet with lots of families. The bathrooms are outside the rooms so make of that what you will.

This was one of my favourite hostels. The staff are so nice, they have lovely dogs, the beds are comfortable, and you get a free transit pass to get around.
I really liked the hostel. It is a bit outside of Lugano but easy to get there with the bus and free travel with the Ticino ticket. I stayed right at the beginning of the season so it was still a bit quiet. But I think there are good ways to connect to other people when more travellers are around. Eva and the whole team were great and always helpful. I really recommend this hostel and would definitely come again.
A great hostel set in beautiful grounds a short bus ride from Lugano centre ..while there enjoyed a Techno ticket giving free rides on public transportation .. so no problem getting bus regular services. The staff were friendly and most helpful.. I had a vegan breakfast was provided with vega cheeses and ham .. together with normal bread buffet.. While the interior is a little dated the hostel is very clean and pleasant place to stay .. great val Would have no hesitation in recommending
