+ Location, parking.
- Freezing cold, uncomfortable beds.
+ I had no breakfast. No bed.
- I was surprised and distressed to find, on arrival, that I could not stay there, even with a booking made earlier. I sent an email of confirmation on the Wednesday before arrival on Friday.
+ Too old
+ We were going to the Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival and in terms of location, the hotel was great. The staff were fine and the internal facilities were fine for cooking your own food. The TV in the lounge was not great.
- The room they gave us was frankly disgraceful. It was totally internal, no truly outside windows, just one on to a corridor. We understood it was a 'small double room' but did not expect all the space to be taken up with a double bed and two single beds. Shower and toilet was down the corridor. They told us that they had no other rooms available though we had booked the room many months before. We deserved a significant discount or rebate. I did take pictures of the room and the internal window but don't seem to have them anymore. The festival filled the town making moving very difficult and so we had to stay. However I would like at least a 50% refund from Booking.com, this room was not much cheaper than all the other rooms which are reasonably acceptable; we have stayed their before. I like the venue if you are given an outside room with an external window but this room was seriously terrible, I suspect they used it normally as a dormitory room.
+ Great location in centre of town and train station. And clean tidy room
- We arrived and never met the owner or hosts. greeted by and intercom and key in envelope and shown to our room my a guest. As two female travellers we didn’t feel immediately safe after only encountering older men who didn’t speak to us. The aside form the room other facilities where awful. Shower drain was blocked and flooded the bathroom and kitchen was appalling with dirty dishes and sponges.
Do not stay here if you are a solo female traveller especially. Lots of strange men around, I felt very unsafe and uncomfortable from the minute I arrived. Showers were filthy.
+ A way to make money off people
- Other guest and the owner told.my brother to have a shower because he smelt. Just rude
+ It was in a good location and the staff were friendly.
- I went to have a shower at 7am with the temperature about 4 degrees and .... NO HOT WATER!!! i didn't have time to talk to anyone there as I had to get to work but I emailed a week ago and asked for an explanation and to let them know that I am not happy paying $120 to not even be able to have a hot shower but no one has replied.
+ nothing
- it's a budget accommodation for homeless people (one of them was quite paranoid and wanted to know our room number!) strange vibes, not relaxing for tourists on a long trip far from home! The kitchen was very dirty and the fridge was stuffed with supermarket bags
+ Not much
- Not much

I loved my stay here!
Hair in all the bathrooms and plug holes, even in the private room sink. The room we booked hadn't been vaccumed properly or dusted in a while. The whole place smelled dirty. No proper bag storage at the property, not ideal if you want to go walking without your valuables. Never actually met the receptionist - out keys were left in the check out box in an envelope and we weren't checking in out of hours. The whole place had a halfway house vibe.
Do not stay here if you are a solo female traveller especially. Lots of strange men around, I felt very unsafe and uncomfortable from the minute I arrived. Showers were filthy.
Overall decent fire a hostel A bit of dust around triggering hayfever Reception is rarely manned so any needs you have you need to call them on the intercom

+ GOOD
- GOOD
+ Only liked that it was close to shops. It was a quiet location considering how close it was to the main shops area.
- Unfortunately I mixed up dates and didnt realise till last minute so couldnt get a refund on that so rebooked direct and ended up paying more for 2 nights than the original 3! No discount was even offerred by management to rebook with them at all. Found the place was very dated, dark, & dinghy! It is more of a backpackers hostel than a guesthouse in my opinion. No extra blankets supplied in rooms and so was so cold I had to sleep in my warmer clothes with jackets also on top of me even though the room had a 6fin oil heater. Also, the shared fridges were so full of stuff that you couldn't fit anything more in them! Permanent tenants lived there so I think that may be the issue there. The floor boards creaked as you walled the walls and whenever someone showered or flushed a toilet (not sure which) our basin in t he room gurgled! I would not stay here again!
Wouldn’t recommend to backpackers, didn’t feel like a hostel was more a long term stay place! Was fine to stay but wasn’t inviting

Great location. Showers and toilets were clean and work very well. Bed was clean and comfy, although our neighbours bed had some building dust from the skylight above the bed. The dorms can be locked. However. The fridges and freezers in the kitchen were very full with some questionable food that had been there for god knows how long. Not all guests wash their dishes so there was stuff left there til the next day. The vibe is very eery here full of single old men, would not feel safe by myself
I spent a very good time in this atypical place, old style house with various nice residents. It’s close from the train station, the main road and some beautiful walks!

+ There is everything you need - from clean towels, soap to warm blankets and heater. Beautiful view from our window, room 12. Best price in Katoomba also
+ I’ve paid 75$ for a single solo room, looks like an old nun room and I LOVED IT. The men at the reception is just the nicest, offering me the soup they made and show me with passion th view from the balcony before taking me to my room. So YES it’s rustic old and not perfectly clean but really good value for money and quick trip! Plus the toilet were very clean and that’s what matter the most to me.
- Bed are not the best but really perfect for a night or 2.
Terrible hostel. There is just a bunch of 70 olds that seems to live there permanently. No reception, no personnel, the place doesn’t smell nice. And you share a room with a snoring 70 year old. Overall atmosphere was a bit dodgy. Didn’t see a lot of other visitors. No lockers, bathroom is a disaster. No towels as well. Location is good, but would avoid this hostel for sure!
+ This is a cozy hotel in the middle of Katoomba. It has a kitchen where you can cook your own food. The place has a very rustic feel to it with the carpets and wooden floors. The building has its own personality. It was snowing outside, but our room was nice and warm.
+ was close to what i needed
- room heating could have been better considering wood floors and only a oil heater. Glad that i had an extra blanket in my car.

+ Sa localisation.
- Endroit pas très propre, fenêtres qui ferment mal ou pas du tout notamment dans la douche... cuisine inutilisable en raison de son état de crasse...
