Viajero Casco Viejo Hostel

Unfortunately I did not have a good stay. The room was very humid, the vibe was not social when I was there and I could barely sleep because of loud music the whole nights. The bathroom was dirty and they are expensive for what they offer. Would not recommend.

overpriced, overcrowded and underfunded. find somewhere else to stay in panama city if you come here!! the staff do not communicate with each other. Aircon broken for the whole stay and no effort was made to fix it or even apologise. The room was damp and smelly. The reception staff in particular were rude and unhelpful. Very poor stay

Worst service and facilities I had in a Viajero ever. + Damaged my stuff in the laundry and lost something. Didn't reimburse anything. At the end they wanted to give me a discount for a good review😂

An Silvester konnte man nicht auf die Dachterasse ohne 90$ für den Eintritt zu bezahlen. Obwohl mir vorher mehrmals versichert wurde, dass dies möglich ist. Das Restaurant auf der Dachterasse gehört außerdem nicht zum Hostel, was dazu führt. Die meisten guten Tische sind den ganzen Abend reserviert obwohl meist mehrere Stunden niemand dort sitzt. Die Musik ist im Restaurantbereich so laut, dass man sich nicht normal unterhalten kann und das Essen ist mehr als durchschnittlich. Keine Empfehl...

Terrible. I refused to stay here. I hear there are new owners and they are getting business on past great reviews. I had booked a basic private room. (Value $75) When I opened the door it had not been cleaned - garbage and old towels etc. It was so small - more like a closet than a room. I was willing to forgo the error. They gave me an upgrade to a full bed with a window. (Value $150) The sheets were stained, the floor dirty and old. Bathroom old and run down.

Worst hostel I have ever stayed at! We had to change rooms multiple times due to constant issues, which already made the stay extremely stressful. Getting any sleep here is basically impossible. There’s a club directly underneath the hostel, a party rooftop above it, and several other clubs around — the bass is nonstop and all night long. On top of that, we were promised a refund, which has still not been paid even after four weeks. Don’t stay there if you value sleep!

place not safe! Eventhough the hostel knew our door was broken they didn't fix it. We got all our cash stolen during night. The thief even made it to went through our stuff in our beds while we were sleeping. The hostel rented out the rooftop for a private party and the entire building is very easily accessible

Lautstarke, dröhnende Musik mit Bass von oben und unten und das die ganze Nacht, bis in den Morgen. Der Preis für das dreckige Zimmer (Boden und Bad/WC/Dusche komplett schmutzig, alles verstaubt/abgegriffen und zu wenig Handtücher) und dafür viel zu viel gezahlt (175 Euro für ein dreckiges Dreibettzimmer) - Nie mehr wieder. 175 Euro für eine schlaflose Nacht! Das ist eher eine Disco als ein Hostel

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this Viajero hostel was terrible. I usually enjoy Viajero, but this stay was extremely disappointing. The rooftop pool, bar, and restaurant were closed to guests due to construction and private events. Parties ran Fri–Sat until 6am; the bass shook the entire building. I stayed two floors below and couldn’t sleep. I was never informed at booking that amenities would be unavailable or taken over by private events.

Lamentablemente, nuestra experencia no fue buena. Pagamos dos cuartos individuales y la humedad era agobiante. Olía horrible. Si bien era claro que no tendríamos ventanas, se esperan mínimos teniendo en cuenta el precio. Mi padre enfermó por ello, y agradezco mucho al señor de servicio quien nos ayudó a cambiarlo de cuarto (la chica de recepción no deseaba hacer el cambio hasta que él mismo le dijo la gravedad del asunto. Gracias por el cambio, pero NO lo recomiendo

i had the 4 bed dorm (5th floor) wich was right beneath the bar so at the weekends it is too noisy for to long, party goes until 3 o’clock and the surroundings unfortunately are also veeery noisy. i must say the beds are very comfortable. chiva activity was canceled due to too little applications, which was sad. staff is very nice. overall: good but you have to get used to the noise on the weekends

Perfect hostel!

From all viajeros I stayed in I probably like this one the least. It is still nice & clean, however very huge and the activities are all centered around drinking & parties, so it’s hard Meeting people if you’re not into that. Location is okay on the edge of casco viejo, however it smelled so bad on the street infront, it was disgusting. I had lost something and the staff was super Kind & helpful though! Chill areas are also nice. kitchen ist small. It’s okay, but not my favorite Viajero.

Faltaba un poco de limpieza, mi cama tenía mucho polvo. Además se escuchaba muy fuerte la música y el bass. De todas formas es muy lindo y está bien ubicado. Además la piscina y el rooftop dan un plus

Good but a party hostel so don’t expect the music to be off before 4am

Great hostel! Loved our stay here. Location is close to everything, restaurants & bars on the roof top were great and a lot of fun! Rooms were huge, clean and safe. Definitely recommend.

Was only there for one night, but really enjoyed it! There are a lot of parties going on outside so make sure to bring earplugs!

No water the entire time I was there. I guess this is a common thing for the area but was frustrating to not be able to do laundry, get water, flush toilets, shower. The room has a bit of a smell as there wasn’t much ventilation and everyone was drying towels in their room. Didn’t much enjoy my time

Amazing stay. Milena was a star. Made me feel right at home as soon as I arrived in the facility.

Great location near the old town. Clean rooms, great air con, social and good activities. Great pool on the rooftop with views of the whole city

The shower in my room was broken and the water pressure was very little in the community showers. Rooftop was nice

This hostel in Cartagena was perfect , josuar was very friendly and allowed to me stay at the price for the extension . Recommend

Wirklich tolles Hostel! Es hat alles von vorne bis hinten gestimmt und das Personal vor Ort war super lieb. Vor allem die Dachterasse und die Aussicht sind überragend. Gerne wieder!

Really enjoyed my stay. Nice rooftop with pool and beautiful views. Especially Milena is a legend! She was always there to help me out and with a big smile. Every hostel should have an Milena! :)

Mein Einzelzimmer war schäbig und hat etwas muffig gerochen - für 40€ definitiv nicht gerechtfertigt.. auch das Bad hat keinen besonders sauberen Eindruck gemacht und es stand Wasser in der Dusche, was nicht besonders angenehm ist zum Duschen. Durch diese Punkte hab ich mich leider nicht wohlgefühlt dort, allerdings ist die Dachterrasse sehr besonders und die Mitarbeiter auch äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vielleicht hatte ich nur Pech mit dem Zimmer, aber ich würde nicht wiederkomm...
