Karcof Container Hostel

Don’t come here if you’re a solo female traveler. We felt unsafe because we couldn’t lock the room at night and there was also no big front door at the hostel, so everyone could walk in and out. The design at the reception and entry hall was very nice, but the rest of the hostel was not good. Very dirty, moldy bathrooms, ants, broken toilets, ac was not working and very loud (you couldn’t sleep). Breakfast was not worth it and very small portions.

Cockroaches in the room, toilet and shower facilities like they never have been cleaned, low shower pressure. And the laundry service lost some of my clothes. The only up side was the communal areas they are vast and very nice but honestly pick somewhere else

Stayed just one night on the way to the airport from GA—me and a friend were the only ones there and it felt completely shut down otherwise. The bathrooms were not very clean, neither were the walls or the cushions in the common space…and…unfortunately…just before I checked out, a rather large cockroach scuttled under the bed. This place is a really cool concept and has great potential, but it seems like the owners have neglected it OR low season just hits really hard :/ Also nothing nea...

It was okay, the rooms and the bathroom where nice, unfortunately there wehere no mixed dorms. The was a little language barrier with the stuff tho and the location was alright (for Senggigi)

il n y avait personne a l auberge. le staff m a demandé 3 fois si je voulais extend mdr ! les chambres sont ok meme si ca sent un peu le renfermé (pas de fenetres mais la clim souffle pour ventiler un peu). Par contre la partir douche et toilette grosse catastrophe !!! on se croirait dans SAW 1. Un cafard m'a fait la conversation aussi pendant que j'étais sur le trône. Je ne reviendrai pas! il y a le meme prix pour mieux je pense dans les environs (refaites vraiment la sdb et toilettes !!)

Booked this as a stopover place, however 3 nights was too long here. The bedrooms were clean, but no windows and hard beds. Quick and easy laundry service. Wouldn’t recommend staying in a metal box in a hot country. There was no atmosphere unfortunately. Location was ok, opposite some nice beach bars and near a big shop. Overall, yes it was a good price but we’ve stayed in nicer places for the same price.

Social areas were nice, just wasnt anyone there Lots of nice sofas and hammocks to chill in, the design of the place was lovely Room was quite small but fine for 3 people, but it was boiling. Ac was on but wasnt great Also no security, door to our room was just unlocked and kept opening randomly by itself Was fine for a night but wouldnt stay for longer

Staff was amazing and so friendly!! Helped me with anything I needed. The rooms were good enough for the price although the carpet was not very clean and there were spider webs all over the ceilings. The bathrooms were also outdated and needed work. They said this hostel was only 2 months old but I don’t think so. Also hornets nest somewhere because they were all over the upstairs. Free breakfast was also very small. BUT for this price I would stay again. Nice people and private bed with curta...

It looks nice from the outside but once you get a closer look, you’ll be horrified. In the bathroom there was barely any running water, and if there was, it was cold. The floor was coated with mold and grime and there was this strong sewer smell. In the room the AC barely worked, which isn’t nice in a container, but it made lots of noise. There were ants in the common areas. Breakfast was a soft slice of toast and an overcooked egg. Sadly that’s all I can say within the 500 word limit.

The staff is nice but they try way too hard to sell you their services or their friend’s services, we inquired about a tour and motorbikes before changing our plans and they insisted 10 times per day to have us book activities with them. The timing was bad with the Eid but they managed it very poorly, they couldn’t offer breakfast but failed to communicate about it and refused to give a discount for it. The place has a lot of potential but they need to address these issues.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was quiet whilst we were there but the chill out areas are great and Sam really made our stay amazing. He was so kind and we had the best evening listening to him play his guitar & singing! Thank you Sam 🌟

This is a great place to stay for a few nights to rest, recharge but still with a few things to do nearby. When I stayed there were a few people in the hostel, but it definitely isn't a party vibe. Lovely common space to rest in, and local Warungs for good, cheap food.

Während unseres Aufenthaltes ging es meiner Schwester und mir nicht so gut und das Personal hat sich total lieb um uns gekümmert! Außerdem ist die Architektur des Hostels richtig cool und besonders. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Super cute eingerichtet, gibt eine nice Atmosphäre. Mitarbeiter super lieb, nur die an der Rezeption sprechen nicht so gut englisch. Die Kommunikation war daher manchmal etwas schwierig. Aber ansonsten alles sehr locker und entspannt dort gehalten

Nice hostel with cool vibe. Unique building made of old shipping containers with cool outside communal areas. Rooms were basic but nice and breakfast was really good banana pancakes and coffee. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Originally thought the showers were very grimy until I realised it was only black sand from the beach:)

Good facilities compared to the price, room was really clean. The staff was extremely nice, big thanks to them for making me feel so welcome! Especially Sam made sure I had a great stay, he took me to see the waterfalls, try the local rice wine and helped me with everything when I had questions. Can recommend staying here if you are looking for chilled vibes. Not a lot of people staying so not that social though.

Das Bad hat immer nur kaltes Wasser. Die Decken sind sehr dünn.

The form was really nice, very clean and comfortable. The whole outdoors area is really lovely and put together, free cooked breakfast and coffee too was ideal. Location just across the road from the beach. There was not a single other person in my 8 bed dorm when I stayed just for the 1 nights The only negative would be the toilet are was really not clean or looked after.

Good hostel, only downside is the rooms get very very hot even with the AC on.

lovely hostel in senggigi! the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, we had such a great stay here! definitely recommend

j'ai bien aimé séjourné dans cet hôtel, le personnel y était agréable, c'était propre, et la déco était sympa

The place is so comfy. Room is great and new. So many spots to chill and take pictures. The staff really helpful and i got a free paddle activity. If need anything just need to ask the staff and they are glad to help.
