Sino Hostel @ Kata

Best part was the location and friendly staff. Hardest beds I’ve had in Southeast Asia and had sand in them when we got there. Roommates had zero courtesy for others. Bathroom is kind of a mess.

Location is excellent, near the night market and the beach, and the AC in the room is strong. The bathrooms are upstairs from most of the rooms and have no AC, so they were perpetually extremely hot and humid. The mattress was extremely thin and felt like plastic. Deposits were required for keys and towels which put a lot of our cash money on 'hold'. It is inexpensive so it may be worth it to you depending on what you are looking for.

Good hostel. Good location- near 7-eleven, the night market and the beach. Staff were lovely and you could organise trips with them. The room itself was very small (the 4 bed female dorm) but the rest was fine and they had lockers.

Con: Toilets need maintenance, spoiled toilet tissue boxes not replaced!, toilets seat loosen, , no or not complete privacy curtains! female dorm too small!, minimal social areas , no drinking water, Pro : Mixed Dorm has a balcony.. staff friendly ,

It wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t great. I guess you could say they cut corners wherever possible. No soap in the showers, frequently no toilet paper in the stalls, no provision of clean drinking water… these are things that I consider pretty basic in most hostels that this hostel does not have. They also charge a laundry fee for towels (which by the way, are not automatically included in your stay) and it didn’t feel like the bathroom was getting cleaned frequently.

0 ambiance, pas d'eau gratuite comme dans 90% des hostels, emplacement pas top étant donné qu'il n'y a que des restaurants et des massages autour ×100, plage pas très loin mais vraiment pas belle, hostel propre, lit confortable, mais pas de rideaux (ce qui ne coute rien et apporte beaucoup d'intimité), une chaleur intense dans la salle de bain, peu de papier toilette et tout mouillé 40% du temps car toillettes et douches ensembles, 60 bath pour le nettoyage de la serviette... peu recommand...

Das Hostel ist ok. Ich war im 4-Bett Dorm female und es war sehr klein, ohne Fenster und nur mit Schiebetür. Die Duschkabinen sind Dusche und Toilette in einem wodurch es immer sehr nass ist. Andere Leute immer Hostel kennenzulernen, war schwierig und so gab es keine gute Atmosphäre.

The staff (reception & housekeeping) were kind and helpful. The bathrooms were only on one floor of the hostel, meaning you had to go up or down the stairs every time you needed the toilet. There was often no toilet paper in the toilets & they could have definitely been cleaned more regularly. Check in was at 2pm but the room wasn’t ready until 3pm. Hostel looks nice on photos but I wouldn’t stay there again.

The location is next to the beach and the night market which was really convenient. The staff is nice and helpful. Our room was very spacious, but unfortunately, the bed sheets were full of stains. Just so you know, the building is divided into many floors, so there are many stairs, but for us it wasn’t a problem. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but the value for money could be better.

Great place in the heart of Kata the staff are friendly and very helpful if you plan on doing tours or even just want to see whats around the town, the only down fall is there is no privacy curtains on the top bunks.

Personally, would not stay here again. Pros: decent price, great location, friendly staff, cold AC, hot water, refrigerator available (did need cleaned) Cons: UNCOMFORTABLE BEDS (it was like sleeping on a concrete slab, even after they put another “mat” which was thin as a piece of paper… I had such difficulty sleeping & pain in my whole body… I highly suggest they invest in 3 inch foam mattress toppers because I’ve been to dozens of hostels & have never experienced such a hard unbe...

Stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our trip. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were secure with keys, lockers and good AC

Very nice hostel! Friendly staff, and it felt safe with locked access from the street, into the rooms, and with secure lockers. Clean and well maintained, with plenty of showers and toilets available. The only downsides for me were the hard beds, the cramped room, and the fact that the bed shook every time you moved. Other than that, 10/10.

Me gustó mucho este hostel, alargué mi estancia un día porque estaba muy bien ubicado en la zona de Kata, el personal muy amable, las camas no tienen cortina/privacidad pero te hacen limpieza diaria en las habitaciones

Die Betten wahren ein bisschen hart aber die Menschen sind da sehr nett + gute Lage

Loved my stay here! The staff were lovely and the hostel is in a great place! The bed however were slightly uncomfortable and firm. Overall loved my stay though.

Nice hostel next to a night market in Kata. Beds were very hard and the rooms were very small but the showers were great.

Great facilities, room was always clean. Only downside was that there was no sunlight in the room but the radiant smile of hostess made up for it. She was always welcoming, helpful, and lovely!

Lady at the front desk was so kind and helpful! Rooms were very clean and the AC worked very well. Would highly recommend!

Very pretty and chill hostel! The woman who worked there was super sweet and helpful. We stayed in the 4 person dorm which I would not recommend as it was very cramped and didn’t have a window. It was also very quiet and not very social (but we stayed during off season tho). Other than that a very nice stay!!

Personnel très accueillant et serviable. Très bien placé à proximité de la plage, quartier très touristique. Point négatif : lit très dur mais au-delà de ça j’ai passé un bon séjour

Location was amazing, close to the beach, next door to the night market and the staff were lovely! Is worth nothing that the female dorm was tiny with no privacy and beds like rocks. The bathrooms were interesting with the shower but was manageable with flip flops so wasn’t a problem, and they were always clean. You get what you pay for but the female dorm is very cramped with no window but good AC.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was great - it’s right next to walking street. The female receptionist was so lovely and helpful - she really made our stay!! The rooms were really clean, but the bathrooms weren’t the best and were only on the first floor, so it was a bit of a pain having to walk up and down flights of stairs to get to them. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay!
